I like Trivium, been listening for over 10 years. Interestingly enough Matt said that he and his friends never really "liked" screamo music and they began to wonder why they were playing it themselves. Hense why their last couple ablums have softened up. They still kick ass and DO NOT SOUND LIKE METALLICA! :D

+Viv Varghese If you did not know about Draiman producing you wouldn't say shit about disturbed, apart from some vibrato techniques used here and there on VF that you could say a draiman-esqe every else absolutely nothing like disturbed, the drums the bass the guitar the song styles and structure are nothing at all like disturbed, you're a fool for saying what you said.

I love how loads of people complain about how 'this isn't Trivium' or 'Trivium's newer sound is shit'. Their sound is what they make it. If you don't like the new stuff, listen to the old stuff?

This is probably my second fav album after ember to inferno, an opinion that usually collides with most other trivium fans' album rankings ;)
With this album I started to hear Trivium, before I didn't know the band, so I love "Vengeance Falls" one of the best album 2013. And now I listen to the older stuff like Shogun and In Waves, Trivium is awesome!
You may like Ember to inferno too ;)

Yo no se que tiene mucha gente que dice pendejadas de Trivium que si perdio su identidad diciendo que solo brillan por discos como "the crusade" cuando ahi fue que se salio de su estilo y sonido caracteristicos, despues con shogun le regreso ese toque metalcore/thrash que le caracterizo y cuando la gente penso que trivium acabaria con el sonido metalcore para ser mas lo que a ellos le sgusta les dio una cachetada con in waves y posteriormente con este disco, si no les gusta ALAVRGA
Para mi este disco es muy bueno, el peor con diferencia es el Silence in the snow
This whole album really has a Dragonforce sound to it, and with Triviums own twist to it. Loving it!
Definitely one of their best solos is in this song. This album overall to me, is better than In Waves.

1- Vengence Falls (Though it will probably drop down after I start to get over the newness of it, mainly cause I haven't listened to all the songs a hundred times yet like I have with the others)

4- Ascendancy
5- In waves
6- Ember to Inferno
Still, I think we can just about all agree that Trivium is amazing, regardless of which of their albums we like the most.

Why does no one like the crusade? Its one of my favorite albums and probably one of their best. Their other albums are great too but the crusade is amazing as well.
It requires specific taste that not a lot of people have. Much like Death Metal or Deathcore in which case, I don't for either.

I like Paulo's work on this one. Really heavy.
This band have done well. Every good band changes as they go along, Slipknot, Metallica, Maiden etc. They change yet still sound amazing and unique, and Trivium do that too.
You know its a good album when you cant find any songs you skip over.

This song is awesome and sounds like the trivium I used to listen to. However the album as a whole in not my thing this is. And that chorus is killer
I like the song but overall VF to me felt like a Matt Heafy record. It's all about him perfecting his clean singing and really focusing on lyrics. I view this album as a tool so that he's got a wider range to work with for Trivium VII

jtgoheels Even though I love Matt's screams, I prefer less screaming to be honest. It's just the right amount in this song. I mean, Matt has improved drastically since Ascendancy. It would be a shame to just throw away his talent, man, with screaming like he used to in Like Light To The Flies for example. Plus, I don't think his throat would endure too much screaming.
I don't like the screaming metalcore so this album is more my speed.

AMAZING song. Trivium truly kicked ass in this album, Just like all albums except Shogun. That sucked.
I don't care that I'm replying to a 1 month old comment but seriously? LOL Give your head a shake. Shogun was the greatest thing Trivium has ever done and it's been downhill since. Shogun was the sound Trivium strived for and they shit all over it with this album and In Waves. If they would've tweaked the sound they created with Shogun, they would be miles ahead of where they are right now. Shogun was the greatest thing they have ever written and they will never ever top that brilliant piece of musicianship. It's too bad because they could've.
Lurch Murphy Shogun and Ascendancy are the best albums.
To me this is Trivium's worst album/2nd worst. Too hard to decide between this and crusade. However, This track is FUCKING awesome and its the one track i can really enjoy. Some of the others are good but just not the Trivium I knew. This song really stands above the rest of the album and im glad that, even though this album was a disappointment TO ME, there is an amazing track that I love !
So you like trash metal style more ? Cause I don't like trash metal, and this album is great for me, listenable, but I prefer like Slipknot, Disturbed, Bullet For my Valentine, War of Ages and such.
BIOSHOCKFOXX I do like thrash alot. But i like a mix. Metalcore [the proper stuff], melo death, progressive. This album just didn't cut it for me personally
i feel completely the same but you should really have a listen to the song Incineration: The Broken World that and No Way To Heal are stand outs for me
No way to heal is the one song on the album that shouldn't be. Its too good for the rest and its the only song I can still listen to from the album. Incin is good but just not quite enough. But def No way to Heal. If the rest f the album was bad, at least we got an awesome song !

I think you should give another listen to shogun or there most recent albums.
They really fucked up when they got rid of nick he tottaly made thw band alot better!this drummer they used to finish up there recent tour with is absolutely horrible!
