We love cordell.the fishermans acess area is nice.i believe its under repair now.wheel chair acessible and nice bathrooms,my advice. Hit the bathroom on the way in the ramp is long.
Brings back memories, my grandad had an old bass boat that we would take up to the dam when I was 10. Thing would barely start but he would drive it up to the boils. I remember freakin out hoping we did get sucked under lol
Man you in my neck of the woods now.You could have saved about an hour of driving time by putting in on the Carthage side. That horn sounding is not for generators. It means they are fixing to discharge water from the lock and get away from the wall. It's a little early for the keeper sauger but glad to see you caught a few.I may have to go try my luck.
100% of both sides for nearly a mile down are all accessible bank fishing with steps and sidewalks and parking and bathrooms and all kinds of great stuff
@@Betterdaysfishing thanks! I've fished a few times below center hill dam but not a lot of luck. I will definitely try over there one day. Thanks for all the great videos and advice you give!!
Was there yesterday and posted a video! Would have been there today, but my daughter plays in the band at Smyrna Middle School. She had a football game tonight. I will be there tomorrow! Great vid!
Man this dam is complicated! Apparently there's three different horns. The sound that was in this video indicates generators will be releasing within 15 minutes. I haven't heard the sound they make when they're going to open the floodgates and I haven't heard the horn they're going to blow when they're going to utilize the lock. I'll have to get back to you about those numbers but usually it's about 15 minutes

love the rock anchor. perfect sense.
I lost three anchors this year! So far the rock is hanging in there with me 🤣

Nice video! Is there bank access below the dam?

Good luck out there!!
I need to give that place a try. It's closer to me than CHD, but I don't have a gas motor on my little plastic boat. Might get dicey.
A trolling motor will not go upstream against this current 😢
@@Betterdaysfishing No doubt. I've been there on the bank and it's moving for sure.
"There's not even a fish stick on that one" lol!
The right time of year you can catch some really big strippers there
Say less!
From the time they start sounding horns, how long do you have to get out of the water?
