    I had heard the breaking news yesterday, and I watched this video today -- it must be the newest,... and very significant page of TGM history. Congratulations, you persevered in it!

    Congratulations! You're just unbelievable!
    Anyone can predict this feat 10 years ago?

    According to MAWS and System16, TGM2 apparently runs on the same hardware that Strikers 1945 III uses. (Which, apparently, I never seemed to know before until now.)

    At 0:19, was that a floor kick with the blue J tetromino?
    I thought these weren't possible in TAP.

    • @colour_thief
      @colour_thief  6 лет назад

      That was just an ordinary rotation actually. No kicks.

    And more..You easily survive the staff roll..
    I am very happy for you c_t !!
    I think this feat will recover the western motivation..I will stay a bit on DOOM to increase my speed ability and then come back on DEATH..
    Who will be the next ??
    -Jago ? Matt ? DIGITAL ?
    Or ME ??

    I'd say the exact moment I knew I might do it was level 899, placing the J piece and seeing an L piece coming up next. Shortly after that I was very much in control again and GM was all but guaranteed.

    200 is pretty good for just starting out, even if you've played other tetris games. It's hard to say how long it took me because I didn't just focus on this one mode and I had lots of breaks. But from your current level it would take about 2-3 years the way most people play, or 1 if you play with a lot of energy and determination.

    Is the lock delay more dangerous in TGM2 Death than TGM3 Shirase?

    • @colour_thief
      @colour_thief  8 лет назад +1

      +shinkibigami9 It's definitely most dangerous in Shirase at level 1200 (assuming you're playing Classic).

      +006 Delta well yeah, since HeboMai started grinding shirase that statement is pretty obsolete.

  • @colour_thief
    @colour_thief  15 лет назад

    True, but if there's someone else they've done a good job of staying unknown to the entire western community of hardcore Tetris players. To this day nobody else has claimed to predate me.

  • @colour_thief
    @colour_thief  15 лет назад

    I hope you're right! The community is too small.
    You can sort of get an idea of what's out there by looking at the skill level of new members who first make themselves known. Even the most exceptional cases are still less than halfway to Death GM. Factor in that this game hasn't been emulated very long, and I think there's a strong case for me being first.
    Anyhow, if you feel like checking out the community just google "tetrisconcept". There's 2 known GMs and about 80 people trying for it.

    all you truly need is to be smart, quick witted and memorize the rotations of every piece and how that interacts with every piece. That took me about a week. The rest is getting used to the mechanics, that took me about 2 weeks. So it wouldn't take you a year unless you are mentally and physically good at tetris.

  • @yaya2295

    @colourthief
    lol what? I have literally played this specific tetris for a few weeks and I can finish TGM mode. It's just time and time again I find this version of tetris to be inferior. I really don't like the mechanics they have hidden behind it.
