I really feel this will still be like all the past seasons when we kept our eyes on a particular player and lost the rest of the players to other clubs because all we hear is fdj and less of other players yet all other departments are not okay.
It has been very much of the same... We're lucky we ended up with ETH and not Poch because if we do get FDJ it could easily end in another Di Maria situation. If it wasn't for ETH I'd have no faith in this transfer because there are similar players available for half the price. I just hope that Ten Hag is pushing this transfer and not the board
What we are failing to understand as fans is that Manchester United is undergoing a revamp in the scouting department, John Murtough and ETH are not reliant on scouts of which 800 plus Right backs were scouted and Wan bissaka was the best option. Right now it’s about what ETH wants and feels is the BEST POSSIBLE OPTION.

Tielemans can't do much without someone like Ndidi on his side. De Jong is better at interceptions, passing as well as carrying the ball from deep positions. We don't need Tielemans, we need someone who plays at deep positions.

Speculations too much while city, Liverpool, Tottenham and even Arsenal are far ahead of us in the market strengthen key positions while United still dragging on 1 player. Pay the money and get the player you want, how long united will continue with this in the market. We should get all the players before our pre-season tour just as Ronaldo said. I am really disappointed Fabrizio.

If the aim is to add multiple players then the board can negotiate the transfer of multiple players, it's as if Man Utd aren't a professional club with huge amounts of administrative and executive staff.
FDJ won't leave for a knock down fee due to salary cap, due to Barcas financial situation they'll only be able to invest a third of the fee and wages on new players and contracts. Barca will possibly wait for the tv and commercial rights deal to go through, at which point they can go back to La Liga and be accepted to be able to invest 100% from sales and contracts.

The problem is, that if United pay 86 million for De Jong, they will continue their reputation as the stupid spending club. Whenever United goes in for a player, clubs ask for extra fee because they know that no other club other than United would pay it. Right now we have to overpay for FDJ, Antony because of our reputation. This needs to change. After giving up on last season (by not getting a top manager like Conte and waiting for ETH) the priority should be to assemble a decent squad for him asap so that manager and players have sufficient time to work together. But no, Utd will wait till the final transfer week - when the season has already begun - to make most of their signings. Why? Ten Hag era reminds of Van Ghaal era. He brought dutch players into team and all failed badly. You need to transfer players like Haaland, Kayne, Philips, Kante, tough defensive players. Otherwise they will really fail so badly. To me they need Kayne as a forward and few good midfielder players and two center backs and one left back and one right back that will play directly in the first x11 to fight for top 4.

Antony is now more than 40 million??? It doesn't matter whether Ajax have sold so many players or Not, it shouldn't affect Antony price tag. We need to start looking somewhere else before it's too late.
This is why Man utd are where they are. They lack a proper recruitment and scouting team, and the evidence is an obsession with one target rather than identifying multiple options with different current/potential ability and price.
