To be honest, it’s likely all scripting. Write the response, chose which animation to play, and then record the clip. It would still be cool though. I wish I could see it work myself, but I only have access to bedrock edition right now, and all of the redstone breaks in weird ways when the map is converted from java (not just the differences in mechanics, but like some stuff is constantly powered and pistons just refuse to extend unless I replace them.)
I don't know if you have bedrock on console or something, but if you have it on pc, they bundled it with Java a few months ago and now every one who has Windows 10 has Java and vice versa@@RipVanFish09
@@RipVanFish09that doesn’t make it significantly less interesting to me. I would love to see how each animation or response is chosen within the mechanism.
@@Numbabufrom reverse engineering the world download you put the paper in a chest at the back of the machine. Then place repeaters or dust just behind the eyes to determine the expression. Don’t take this as fact as I’m not great at this stuff
The button kind of makes me want to see Wilson reverse engineered, but I also vaguely remember Etho calling most of Wilson's wiring an incomprehensible mess.
Also, did you make sure all the Redstone fits in one chunk? That was an important part to make sure it never broke from some of it being loaded and some not loaded.
umm mumbo made another one of these in series 9 (the current one) but it dispenses different crowns that make the wearer *mumbo's friend* (lower health = better friend). It also gave you increasing numbers of diamonds, but if the health runs out, the button blows up along with the entire server's diamonds
To make the 11 tick delay between hitting the button and the machine registering it, you could have made the pulse extender leading to the torch shorter, so there’s less comparators to go through, and then make the “pulse extender extender” (i guess) longer so that i keeps the right amount of extension, then do some trial and error so that the pulse extender is long enough for the pulse extender extender to extend to be long enough to make sure all the items got through But you still did an incredible job with this! I’d been trying to do my own gnireenigne to do this myself since as soon as i saw that video, but i didn’t have the motivation to search that one clip frame by frame for reference images…
hey if you didn't know you can use another etho clock to make a very easy and compact pulse extender, the only problem is the reset time is as long as the pulse so sometimes it might not be the best solution
Hello Joe Nicholls... I have been waiting a while for your newest video. I have been waiting since your videos form when you were in film class. You really popped off after you're craftymasterman team seas video. You have been doing great! Still love your editing!
I also did this a while back. I used the hopper chain technology to build a redstone clock and a bomb with a counter. His new diamond button uses a signal strength bar instead of hopper chain.
For the button pulse extender problem you can just have a short pulse extender, with 2 comparators connected to a long pulse extender. That makes it not loop weirdly
I'd like to see the hex encoder from Etho's Nexus - it was someone else's design, IIRC, and he didn't explain it due to both that and the complexity, I think. Or his Googler. He claimed there was some sort of issue with the Googler, and that was before the update broke the block elevators. I'm curious how that would work now.
Instead of TNT I would remove the Button with a Piston. Also I would use Red Concrete/Sand that falls in front of the health indicator that says "I am dead"
Another way u could have the machine die is if you had a piston with a block connector attacked behind the button which controlled if there was a signal. If the machine dies, the piston inhibits a connection to restart the timer and it's officially dead. Edit: You could also abuse this in a server so people have to pay a fortune to reboot the machine.
A few things... First, why move down the comparitors? That seems rather redundant to do.... Also, to have a moer "stable" pulse extender could you do this (I is input (Button), R is redstone, C is comparitor, B is Block and A is Air (nothing. Used as padding for the diagram): RCCCCCRCCCCCRCCCCCR RCCCCCBCCCCCBCCCCCR AAAAAAIAAAAAAAAAAAA Next an idea for anyone who wants to recreate this.... The refill could be a bit more dynamic. Like if the health is below the halfway point, have a full pulse extender circuit and if it above half health, only half half the pulse extender active. This could be done - assuming above's setup for a PE is used - by removing the right block while health is above half.
Outstanding video! I have a queation, how did the dropper drop the tnt into the barrel at the end? There is an air block between it and the torch, and I don't see what could have given it an update 🤔
@@jazziiRed I thought I knew what quasi connectivity was, and I did see your video. I'm just confused by it because it feels like it shouldn't receive a block update that makes it realize it's powered

Rather than a giant comparator chain, wouldn't it be better to use an SR flip flop that would be set by the button to unlock the hopper, and reset by reading the hopper as empty?
right at the end with the dropper with the tnt in it. am i missing something, how does the signal get transferred from a redstone torch through a 1 block air gap to the dropper?
