The Praktica MTL 3 is a solid feeling camera, with over 850,000 units leaving the GDR Pentacon factory between 1978 & 1984. It has some advanced and some crude features. There are a wide range of decent quality lenses available for the M42 screw mount and this, as well as the cameras being relatively cheap and plentiful, helps in their continued popularity. A decent, no-frills, 35mm SLR camera.
