What a great reaction I was going to request this in 2024 but looked up to see if you had done it glad you appreciate old love songs this is one of my absolute favorites and I have to say one of my absolute favorite reactions of yours too
"Wild Horses" is another one of their songs from this mold - easily one of their most popular. If you haven't reacted to it, that's one you'll enjoy and it will likely get you quite a few views.
'Angie' is The Rolling Stones simmering ballad - a deeply moving track built on melancholy acoustics, haunting piano lines and most importantly, Mick Jagger's anguished, passionate vocal delivery.
Hard to believe I was in 4th Grade when this released, damn time really does fly. Remember listing to it on the radio riding with my mom and brother in her 1965 Ford Falcon, how I long to be back with them. Life does fly by, cherish the time you have with your loved ones while you have it.
Mick sounds so sincere and profound singing this song! It really hits me at my chore to be honest! Another one by The Stones that's very deep and meaningful is Time Waits For No One! Give a listen!
Sad song with a beautiful melody and instrumental backing especially piano, guitar and orchestra. Proves the Rolling Stones weren't just a one trick Pony who only did blues based Rock 'n Roll.
Great reaction, Angela! One of my favorites by the Stones, and for precisely the reasons you stated. Another great soft song showing off Mick's softer side is "Fool To Cry".
This was written by Keith Richards; that different tone is his blues style that you can hear on his solo albums. Angie is what he called heroin. This is a love song/break up song; his struggle was pretty raw. The line "Ain't it good to be alive" is because he felt there was only one way his addiction would take him.
1970's, the GREATEST DECADE MUSIC ------PERIOD! The greatest bands making the greatest music for the ear, mind, and soul. I am SOOOOOO blessed to have grown up as a kid to teen during this period. And being a musician that was involved in bands, in and out of high school, gives my a deeper understanding and appreciation for the music we were blessed with.
Nice to hear a ballad from the rolling stones. Hope you're gonna do some Donna Summer. Donna owned the the 70s .She definitely deserves to be recognized in a month dedicated to the 70s. Please don't forget the 👑 Queen!
Hi Angie, sorry to hear about you and Mick. Keep your chin up, you're gorgeous! Next from The Stones, here's another song you'll love, *"Time Waits For No One".*
Bravo, Angela, bravissimo ❣️ For a little antidote to sad songs, you'd really like "Can't You Hear Me Knocking!" Slamming rock by the Stones at their best. Just remove all breakables from within reach if you do that one, you will NOT be able to sit still. You remember Santana at Woodstock? This one WILL make you chair-dance, your bones will rattle and your face will hurt from smiling 😁😁😁🎼🎸🎶🎶🎶🎵🎵🎶🎷🎹🎹
My uncle plays acoustic guitar and sings. He use to always sing this song to me when I was younger. I never believed him. I told him that you wrote it for me. I finally started to believe him when I got older.
Ang, so many of us have been waiting so long for you to react to this one - and you did not disappoint! A great reaction, as always, so many thanks to you! For more softer side of the Stones please consider in the future: "Wild Horses", "As Tears Go By" and "She's A Rainbow"! Looking forward to what you have in store for us the rest of the month!!
The next day on the way to hospital to see my first child in '77 I heard this song on the radio. My unnamed child became soon "Angie"... The way he sang the song did it for me....
Perhaps their most complete song. The 70's offered the most enduring music (Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, ELP, ELO, Renaissance, Led Zeppelin and so many others).
Great Piano also added by Nicky Hopkins. Another song recorded at this time but released in the 80's was the song Waiting On A Friend. It also features Nicky Hopkins on the piano and the great Sonny Rollins on Saxophone. If you haven't listened to it, you might like it if you liked this song. (Plus Sonny Rollins is amazing on Waiting on a Friend)
I never knew "Waiting On A Friend" was recorded in '73. Wow, I so much associate it with early 80s memories. "Start Me Up" was also recorded in the 70s, a few years before they released it.
Good choice you will love the 70s had a chance to tour with these guys I was in my last 6months college finals and graduation they offed me the job but finish school instead 🐲⚡🐉🌻😎🖤
Nice choice Angela. A few other classic Stones ballad type songs are "Love In Vain", "Wild Horses", "Moonlight Mile", "Winter" and for something earlier from the Brian Jones era Stones, "Play With Fire", "Lady Jane" and "Ruby Tuesday".
:-) There is a 90's cover of this song from the band "La Ley" (The Law in spanish; they won a Grammy latino) that was very well released and with a faster rythm. They sang this song in english. Regards from Chile! :-)
My fav “Stones” is “Shattered “!!! It’s lots of fun! I hope you listen to it!.. “Angie” takes me back to my first 14 yo Crush… those memories are sweet to me. Thanks for taking me back.
Good Day Angela, another great classic from one of the true GIANTS of R&R. I’ll say it again…..1,524,964 views so far. YOU will like it too 4 black brothers with a white drummer created this ICONIC Masterpiece from the 60’s Psychedelic Era Trust me…. You do not want your life to end without hearing this song. “TIME HAS COME TODAY“- The Chambers Brothers - Album Long version, then Live.
When I heard this in the seventies it's all I needed to know I like Mick Jagger. And how right you are it's beautiful. My favorite linehe gives Oomph to is " Everywhere I look I see your eyes, there ain't a woman that comes close to you "
Check out Winter off the same Stones album. Or Time Waits for No One off their next one. Their last with guitarist Mick Taylor. The album is called, It's Only Rock and roll. Those happen to be, my two favorite Stones songs. Very much underplayed and hardly if ever reacted to. Might be worth a gander looking into them. Take care stay safe and be well !
Nice reaction! Was hoping one day you would check it out. Mick would be a fool to break up with you. But I cracked up when you spoke it. Love your channel and your responses! Yes another one as some has suggested is Wild Horses.
Two people in love but having it real rough financially wore down from the struggle give up their love to give each other a better chance to succeed what I get tragic!
Also if ya dig and enjoyed this video by Rolling Stones and that was always a sad song sad 😢 you may also enjoy the song " Most of All " By Glenn Kaiser and Where Roses Grow Live by Rez Band Awesome songs check them out. Also I remember hearing the song by Led Zepp " In My Time of Dyin " during my drug years and made me think about death and Jesus. Then a hippy friend that dug Jesus told me more of Jesus love and forgiveness and how I could also know Jesus love. So in 1981 I cried out to Jesus and wow man He came into my life and I had and have so much joy and peace and now know that through Jesus when I die I will be with Him in Heaven. Hey Jesus loves each of you also and yall can know Him if you are at all open. Just cry out to Him and a good question to ask yourself if you were to die today would you go to heaven ? And if yes why ? To find out more please read the Gospel of John in the Bible or check out the movie on RUclips. 😀
For most of my life I've tried to describe Jaggers Voice..thank you!! Wild Horses, time is on my side, as tears go by are all great Stones ballad type songs
I don' think the Stones get enough credit for their ballads. If you like this side of them, after this month, you should check out "Wild Horses" and "Moonlight Mile" as well as "Lady Jane" and "Out Of Tears". Good job as always, 'Angie' ;) ... and I'm sorry to hear of Mick dumping you, but we'll see you through, don't worry! lol
Ok... I try to rejoin you Each of your reactions, is a pleasure * Are you lomesome tonight * - Elvis * Just Prétend * - Elvis I love your company for This littles moments... You So beautiful... And if a song is not wow... You Are Wow ! yeah A last song* Unchain Mélodie * - Elvis 77' live
Ok, Angela. Here are three more suggestions for your journey through the 7o's. I CAN'T TELL YOU WHY- EAGLES AFTER THE LOVIN' by Englebert Humperdink WHEN I NEED YOU - LEO SAYER You should really love ❤ These three songs as much as I did way back in the 2oth century. Enjoy.
@@centuryrox It's a joke phrase I made up after Y2K. I was 42 and working with a bunch of younger people and talking music when it came up. It also has to do with these reactions on You Tube. Because that's what they are all discovering. Way back in the 2oth was better than than today in many ways. Not that we didn't have the same problems but there hasn't been any fun since the 9o's. I almost feel bad for today's society.
What a great reaction I was going to request this in 2024 but looked up to see if you had done it glad you appreciate old love songs this is one of my absolute favorites and I have to say one of my absolute favorite reactions of yours too
Why do I feel like Mick Jagger just broke up with me? That has to be one of the best comments on a song ever.
"Wild Horses" is another one of their songs from this mold - easily one of their most popular. If you haven't reacted to it, that's one you'll enjoy and it will likely get you quite a few views.
The Sunday’s cover of Wild Horses is pretty dang good, also.
Which I believe Keith Richards wrote for his children prior to traveling.
If you enjoy angie. Then you should listen to night's in white satin .Moody blues. Album Days of future past. 1972
And Hard Woman from his solo album is very similar too. One of my fav Mick Jagger songs
Wild Horses..probably in my top 5 Stones songs. Angie is a masterpiece IMO
Emotional Rescue!
Was a young teen living on an air force base when this song came out. Brings back a ton of wonderful memories!
'Angie' is The Rolling Stones simmering ballad - a deeply moving track built on melancholy acoustics, haunting piano lines and most importantly, Mick Jagger's anguished, passionate vocal delivery.
One of the most beautiful songs ever written by the glimmer twins
Nicky Hopkins piano work on this track is exceptional.
As it was on every song he ever lent his talents to.
SO very true.
The 70’s were the best for everything
Might be the most beautiful sad song ever performed.
No guy in his right mind would break up with you Angie..lol...you are beautiful...love your reactions
Angie your beautiful

Another one by The Stones that's very deep and meaningful is Time Waits For No One! Give a listen!
My favorite Stones song of all time. Thank you sir for requesting that Masterpiece as well !
This is one of the most beautifully tragic songs ever ❤️💔
a couple of other songs by them that are very unique are As Tears Go By and She's a rainbow
Yeah, I was gonna say "She's a Rainbow" only I was gonna call it "She Comes In Colors". Heh!
And for a given reason: Highwire
“Why do I feel like Mick Jagger just broke up with me?” - best comment I’ve ever heard!! 😎❤️🌹 my wife’s name is “Angie” too..God Bless!
"Angie, you're beautiful" - this song is for you Angela! 😘
Sad song with a beautiful melody and instrumental backing especially piano, guitar and orchestra. Proves the Rolling Stones weren't just a one trick Pony who only did blues based Rock 'n Roll.
Beautiful reaction
Angie and Wild Horses are two of my all time favorite songs❤️
Also Beast of Burden
My sentiments exactly..but there are also so many more.
Probably the best song on Goats Head Soup album
Their best ballad.
Definitely underrated song. Just a beautiful melody and guitar. Plus one of Mick's better vocals.
Great reaction, Angela! One of my favorites by the Stones, and for precisely the reasons you stated.
Another great soft song showing off Mick's softer side is "Fool To Cry".
Nothing lasts forever,,,,😭😭😭😭😭👍
Love mick + stones
Wish more songs were recorded live.
The Stones did sing live 99% of the time,
SO entertaining.
Biggest "bar band ever" 😁
Goats Head Soup 😊
This was written by Keith Richards; that different tone is his blues style that you can hear on his solo albums.
Angie is what he called heroin. This is a love song/break up song; his struggle was pretty raw. The line "Ain't it good to be alive" is because he felt there was only one way his addiction would take him.
Thx! Another Angela song is by Helen Reddy called “Angie baby.” It’s about a very “special” lady.
The late great Nicky Hopkins on keyboards.... 💗
Loving “ the 70’s” reviews and music!!! My teen years and memories… thank you 💙💙💙💙

Agree totally!!! Do some Donna Summers please 😘😘
I agree on Donna Summer - maybe "Sunset People" a fabulous underrated song!
Yes!
Absolutely yes!!Last Dance!
Ah, my favorite Rolling Stones song. Love the guitar work, so understated and soft.
Not here to tell you what else to listen to. Good choice and a song I have loved for half a century.
Hi Angie, sorry to hear about you and Mick. Keep your chin up, you're gorgeous! Next from The Stones, here's another song you'll love, *"Time Waits For No One".*
Wild Horses is a great Stones ballad for sure.

Dead Flowers is another great Stones song. Love this era of the Stones!
This song brings back a lot of good memories.
My uncle plays acoustic guitar and sings. He use to always sing this song to me when I was younger. I never believed him. I told him that you wrote it for me. I finally started to believe him when I got older.

This is one of the few easy going songs by the Rolling Stones. It's a gem.
4/11/22, 9:16 p.m.
Amazing song..1 of my favorites
Angie you’re beautiful 😍
I totally agree!!!! 😍😍
This is off their Goats head Soup album, I highly suggest more songs from it!!
Greatest Rock n Roll band ever 🤘🤘
One of the top 3 best Stones songs if you ask me. Bought this record when I was 15 years old.
"Play With Fire" and "Ruby Tuesday" might be a couple of RS songs you'd like.
Perhaps their most complete song. The 70's offered the most enduring music (Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, ELP, ELO, Renaissance, Led Zeppelin and so many others).

Wild horses 🐴🌻😎
You can hear the ghost track behind Mick
Can you hear me knocking is the Rolling Stones best song, definitely worth a listen.
The Goats Head Soup album is one of the very best!!
There's a few Stones ballads that still give me goosebumps - Angie, Moonlight Mile, and Winter.
You are 🔥 today!
"Moonlight Mile", last cut on "Sticky Fingers".
This album came out the year I joined the Air Force. I still have the original album. Brings back great memories.
MOONLIGHT MILE! Gotta do it!
SHES A RAINBOW BY ROLLING STONES..... Brian Jones was the leader of the band ,then....☮️🙏🌷🎵🎸 60s
Great one- I’ve always loved it- I’d love to see you react to their songs “Emotional Rescue.” Such a groovy vibe- also “Shes so Cold.” 💖👍
Powerful song. Seems like a love song, but it's actually about one of the band members trying to kick a heroine addiction.
Play With Fire is a great one
That's what I said, is this about you? A great reaction Angie.
I always find you so refreshing, and honest. I saw it in your eyes when you first discovered the meaning to the song. So precious!😊
Music from my youth and one of the most beautiful songs ever composed .. Every time I hear this I remember being 15 years old and my first love ..
I love listening to this song and looking at your beautiful face at the same time great video
Love watching you as you listen to those melodies, chords and stories
Memory Motel is a good slow one as well by the "Glimmer Twins"!
:-)

Classic. Such a nice, sad ballad. And so well done.
We heard the whole tune without interruption & i APPRECIATE that. Here's my Sub, my fat thumb & i'll fetch a hankie.
