I've had this driver too. Trust me when you're trying to sleep at night THIS is the driver you want on your side....plus, he's one of the nicer drivers. I've had others that were down right rude and obnoxiously devoid of any manners
wanderingeyes11 I had him tonight and this guy would NOT stop playing music on his cell phone so he stopped the bus! Walked back and addressed him personally right on the side of the freeway. Love him
Screw a raise promote this man to head leadership! He needs to implement this into all of greyhound. Just because it’s your last resort of travel doesn’t mean it’s others.
Haven't driven for Greyhound since the late 80s, when we didn't have cell phones to annoy anyone. Thank goodness I'm retired, I like this guy, I had a very brief message that I presented just after departures from the bus terminal, respectful & diplomatic, to the point. It worked well...
Damn I've had so many annoying greyhound rides because of cell phones and baby mama drama. I would have paid a first class premium to have this guy as my driver.
Love this guy. No nonsense approach, very articulate. If only my announcements were half as good! I used to drive for Greyhound so I can relate to what he is dealing with. Doggone great!
This gentleman should be the role model for every single bus driver in the US, transit, OTR or otherwise. He tells it like it is and gives fair warning. I can't tell you how many bus rides I've been on where some of the passengers act like they're in their own private car or living room - loud talking, cell phones or music cranked up so loud you can hear it straight through their earbuds from the other end of the bus. God Bless you, sir!
Wow! Wonderful, professional and straight to the point! So refreshing that he's not worried about political correctness and offending anyone. A little long on the announcement but well done!

I love this Bus Driver yo!! He's class, he's Old School who doesn't play at all. I'll be the same way if I was a Driver. Too bad most Megabus Drivers are careless.
Years ago, I took a greyhound to Florida to see, of all things, a space shuttle launch. I was seventeen and it was my first trip by myself. When we pulled out of Knoxville, the bus driver had a very strong Tennessee accent. He sounded like some of the preachers my mom listened to all the time. It was all I could do to holler "AMEN!" whenever he paused to take a breath.
I like this Greyhound bus driver he's very straight to tell people about respecting others and their property, He should get a raise for keeping the passengers safe, Good job Greyhound bus driver 👍
I agree with you. This guy was not yelling or using bad language. He simply explained the rules for travelling on the bus. No one wants to deal with someone who is drunk, obnoxious, or can't control their squalling brat.
I like this guy! I understand exactly where he's coming from. Greyhound drivers deal with a whole lot of bullshit from some passengers and this driver knows that, given his experience.
That's actually more acceptable. Babies cry because they can't talk. The bigger problem are with adults who CAN talk when they know better....supposedly.
Thank-you! I am very happy to see SOMEONE who defies the constant social constraints that this bleed heart society. I agree with his point. Instead of keeping "connected", try shutting your technology off and connect with the HUMANS next to you. We strive so hard to stay in touch with social media and all the "rules" it has set within itself, that we totally ignore someone beside us. Take the opportunity while you are in public, and expand your life with the stories of strangers!
Although he was was probably too over the top and totally humorless about it, if there was more people in the world like this bus driver, I think we'd have a nicer society. Or at least if people considered other people's space more instead of running around like they own the world. Too many selfish ass people.
He has more care and respect for his bus than the greyhound bus driver that just yelled at me today when I tried to help 2 foreign women who couldnt speak English when their handicap seat wasn’t working... he yelled at me outside the bus when I asked “excuse me,sir” and then when he came back in to inspect the “problem” I tried to talk to him about he said MA’AM whenever I said anything. Cutting me off over and over. He said he didn’t care, etc. Then proceeded to flip off my father who came to pick me up upon arrival.
Im a Greyhound supervisor only thing im concerned about is that he's driving with one hand for a little to long he could of made that speech a little shorter for safety reasons. ( you gotta press the button for the mic to work)
THAT'S MY DRIVER!!! Coast to Coast on the dog &.... It comes down to 2 simple things. 1. The coach is a machine. When a machine gets worked it breaks. 2. You're on Greyhound time. Sit back relax & RIDE
it's good hes conducting order on His bus that he is responsible for...some drivers dont do this, or passengers take advantage to a point it gets very bothersome not only for the passengers that may trying to rest...but distracting to the person behind the wheel. Thats the problem with majority of people nowadays in confined spaces such as buses, planes, and trains. is theyre not considerate to others and dont care until the tables are turned. Even if he did tell this "lady" to shut her kid up. If you think about it, theres 50 something odd other passengers on the bus and at half of which dont want to hear a screaming kid. i know i dont. Even if folks like you send in a complaint or whatever...some of you dont know, but each greyhound bus has a Camera on in the front that records continuous video and audio...but thanks for sharing
i will never let my mother ride another greyhound. for the driver falsely accused her of smoking. after he kicker her of the bus he told her she didnt smell of smoke. legal action will be taken.
I can't wait to become a Greyhound driver. I don't wanna be mean to the passagers but I gotta tell it like it is just like this Driver did. I gotta use this.
In the early 90s as a young man i had a 3 night stint on a grey hound. That was one if the funnest experiences of my life. Met a coke dealer and some hot chicks (for being on a bus).We partied the whole way. The good old days!!!
My annoucement Welcome aboard Greyhound bus lines. This is your 10:00 bus service to Ruchmond, Va making stops in Wilmington, Baltimore, and Washington DC. Just a reminder, there is no smoking or drinking on this bus, that includes the bathroom. When accessing the bathroom, please use caution when moving up and down the aisles. First stop is Wilmington. Please sit back, relax and enjoy your trip. Thank you for riding Greyhound
Three cheers for the Bus driver, the Bus driver, the Bus driver, Three cheers for the Bus driver who drove us today. He's dashing, he's daring, he smells like a herring. Three cheers for the Bus driver who drove us today!
If this bus driver tried this shit in Australia, he'd lose his job. We know that busses are noisy, we know that people's phones will ring, and that will usually result in that person talking on the phone. We know all this before we get on the bus. It's a bus, not a fucking library. It's the cheapest and nastiest form of transport and last time I checked, people in the cheap seats complaints usually fall on deaf ears. If u don't like other people's noise, stop being a cheap bastard and buy a fucking car.
Consider yourself warned!!..Don't say you didn't know or weren't told when this savvy bus driver throws your ass off his bus for making a fool or a nuisance of yourself!!...
Well, I understand babies cry, but sometimes in places, the parents seem so oblivious too it and do nothing but let them cry, but I will leave it at that, but if the parent is putting effort into quietening the child and it doesn't work, nothing you can really do. Now as for the cellphone policy, nothing irritates me more than peoples ringers going off constantly in public whether it be in a restaurant, store, train or bus, I do not care that you are getting a phone call, vibrate will let you know that you are getting a call without everyone else having to know. Sometimes I think it is just ego that people want others to know they are getting a call and "Look at me, I gotta cellphone and I am important".
As a bus driver, he’s not cranky he’s just experienced with shenanigans. He also is covering his ass when he decides to give somebody the boot so nobody can say they didn’t know.
HES NOT CRANKY - HE'S JUST LAYING DOWN THE RULES.
Oprah...Not a Greyhound rider (or any bus for that matter), but this driver has laid down the law, and so it shall be...👍
When you deal with idiot customers all day sometimes you have to send a clear message.
^ What he said.
Love him
That bus driver needs a raise! He is 110% correct
Screw a raise promote this man to head leadership! He needs to implement this into all of greyhound. Just because it’s your last resort of travel doesn’t mean it’s others.
I was expecting applause at the end for some reason lol
That's a respectful bus drivers!
This driver is correct.
I actually agree with him!
Agreed. Many people lack self awareness.
we need more bus drivers like him seriously!
Robert Gardea no
No
Yes
@@mclarenspeedtail8988 WHAT!
I agree
As a transit bus driver for 10 years I completely understand him especially about people talking loud on cell phones.
Telling it like it is & a no-nonsense approach to detailing the rules & the consequences for breaking them...I wish there were more drivers like him.
(
I like this greyhound bus driver, I wish all bus driver, will be like him, thank you bus driver for our safety.
The Coach driver deserves a raise! He was straightforward, zero toleration for nonsense while remaining completely professional.
A raise, for pointing out the rules? That will barely get him an attaboy.
This driver speaks for all of us!!
Haven't driven for Greyhound since the late 80s, when we didn't have cell phones to annoy anyone. Thank goodness I'm retired, I like this guy, I had a very brief message that I presented just after departures from the bus terminal, respectful & diplomatic, to the point. It worked well...
Cool you was a greyhound bus driver in the 80s
This driver is not for any nonsense. I love it, he said everything that I a bus driver myself would say.
if i ever ride Greyhound, i want this guy as my driver! people get so damn annoying with their phones!
Heck yes they do, you can hear the arguments!?
I agree
Damn I've had so many annoying greyhound rides because of cell phones and baby mama drama. I would have paid a first class premium to have this guy as my driver.
I'm mad
I don't blame him !!!
The world needs more men like him!
Naw not pussy cats like him
Love this guy. No nonsense approach, very articulate. If only my announcements were half as good! I used to drive for Greyhound so I can relate to what he is dealing with. Doggone great!
That's what I call a true Greyhound bus driver.
I've heard plenty of Greyhound lectures , but this one is a classic haha
cranky? all he did was review the ground rules.
THIS GUY DESERVES AN AWARD!!!!!!
If I ever ride Greyhound, I hope he's my driver. Adults act like they can't follow simple rules or be courteous to others these days.
I like this guy, I hope others are like him when I make my trip.
If more drivers were like this you would have less problems , the OPERATOR HAS BEEN DOING IT FOR 32 YEARS
This gentleman should be the role model for every single bus driver in the US, transit, OTR or otherwise.
LOL, love this driver. The lecture about ridiculous conversations on phones, should be taped and played on planes, in stores, restaurants, etc.
That bus driver is a G!!!!!! Lmao get em
Someone give him an award xD
great driver ..i would sleep the hole trip and wake up rested and happy ;))
this guy is awesome i wish all drivers were like him ..
As a transit operator; this gentleman conducted himself very professionally on behalf of the company, himself, and more
importantly paying customers.
"Pure, pure nothin' but non-sense" 😂😂
Amen
I'd ride along....and have him quote movie lines from all of Denzel Washington's films
Years ago, I took a greyhound to Florida to see, of all things, a space shuttle launch. I was seventeen and it was my first trip by myself. Note 2 self ..
Never ever ever use greyhound bus service 🏁 🚗 💨
I like this Greyhound bus driver he's very straight to tell people about respecting others and their property, He should get a raise for keeping the passengers safe, Good job Greyhound bus driver 👍
Strict drivers are the best. There can only be one "captain".
All of his rules are reasonable.
Ridiculous. Where are the “rules” prohibiting cell phone use on a bus?
I agree with you. This guy was not yelling or using bad language. He simply explained the rules for travelling on the bus. No one wants to deal with someone who is drunk, obnoxious, or can't control their squalling brat.
Had this operator when I went to Baltimore. Very professional and nice guy!
I like this guy! I understand exactly where he's coming from. Greyhound drivers deal with a whole lot of bullshit from some passengers and this driver knows that, given his experience.
He's going off 🤣😂 he forgot to mention that there is to be no standing on the coach while it is moving 😅
Love him already and don't even know him lol
i wish more drivers were like this guy
especially when it comes to stupid parents and their little burdens crying
Oh stfu kids are kids you was a little one at one time or was you the perfect little baby?
That's actually more acceptable. Babies cry because they can't talk. The bigger problem are with adults who CAN talk when they know better....supposedly.
Thank-you! I am very happy to see SOMEONE who defies the constant social constraints that this bleed heart society. I agree with his point. Greyhound need more drivers like that. He really cares about his passengers.
Screw greyhound. Take Amtrak.
Although he was was probably too over the top and totally humorless about it, if there was more people in the world like this bus driver, I think we'd have a nicer society. Or at least if people considered other people's space more instead of running around like they own the world. Too many selfish ass people.
I had him actually he gave the same speech
If you’ve not seen Mike Toomeys greyhound bit…. It is definitely a MUST WATCH.
😂
Someone wants a very quiet bus. And very grumpy!!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamen! Wonderful driver. Lovely words of care for your paying customers.
I agree and commend his professionalism. He sounds like a very experienced driver.

I love my dad :) Thanks for sharing Audorf1 and thank you all for the comments.
Your dad is a kool dude
Id kick myself off the bus having to listen to him talk
Me too I would take a bus with drill Sargent instead
Gosh we need more drivers like him!! I can’t stand idiotic passengers talking especially on their damn phones for hours 🙄
I agree with everything he said. Should be more like him.

Someone call Greyhound. This man deserves a raise. Amen.

Just imagine if he was a pilot. Would he throw you off the plane for talking? Lol
Ex-School bus driver confirmed...
I love this guy lol
I agree. Kudos to the driver!
My annoucement

Where are those days when it was enough to tell people that you hope, they'd be so kind to behave respectfully and politely....
Professional , he's like Santa Clause ,he knows when you've been naughty or nice.
On our school charter bus on trips we call our parents when we are almost home
That recent video of the American Airlines captain's similar speech reminded me of this.
Thank you !
I think he like to hear himself talk.
Damn right. This ain't no party bus full of children.
Three cheers for the Bus driver, the Bus driver, the Bus driver,
Three cheers for the Bus driver who drove us today.
He's dashing, he's daring, he smells like a herring.
Three cheers for the Bus driver who drove us today!

Milepost 484 ???
Exactly
