    Good stuff! Thanks for taking the time to make these. The point about balancing a rifle vs just making a rifle heavy is a great one. As I've matured as a shooter, I've gradually pulled almost all of the weights out of my rifle chassis, leaving only what's needed to balance the rifle as Chris describes. In the process the rifle has dropped about 6 pounds from it's heaviest, and I shoot it just as well, if not better.
    I'll give what you suggest at the end a try and see what happens!

    Not sure this will help where I'm currently able to shoot (100 yards), but it makes sense. If they ever open the longer range lanes I'll try it. Thanks for all you guys do.

      I Think most shooters would benefit from shooting the Riflekraft drills weekly at 100y. You can get to an elite level on fundamentals and a few tricks to optimize those fundamentals.

    Now when the gentleman is talking about the balance point in the weapon system. Does it change when you put your weight behind the gun when taking aim? Or just for consistency purposes?

    Good video guys. Question for you, do you think that having a balanced rifle helps with recoil from the prone position aswell??

    • @SHLowlight

      It will changes the pulse feel

      @@SHLowlight do you think this effects accuracy and shootability?

    • @SHLowlight
      @SHLowlight  2 года назад +1

      @@Quick191 potentially depends on you, if its more consistent and you are more consistent it would say, yes, it's gonna shoot better

    So in effect you are talking about the harmonic resonance of the barrel, the way it flexes/oscillates up and down. Interestingly your 'point of balance', just forward of the magazine, is where the action is bedded to the stock. Maybe we have a physics major who can explain this better, please.

    • @SHLowlight
      @SHLowlight  2 года назад +2

      The balance point is about 2 to 2.5” in front of the lug, but also the chassis are not bedded. Just torqued down but I’m sure there is a math problem to a couple of the points you made

    Where can I get those additional weights for a AR platform? Newbie question

      Idk either but I'd say get creative, I got my wheels turning in my mind but at the moment all my mess is doing so good I'm not changing anything far as adding weights or taking, I must have just got lucky a lot or just that good..mabye little of both

      Look up M lock weights or maybe MDT might have some weights that will work on your system.
      I know they make weight systems for their chassis system.
