Holy shit this game was magical to me as a kid. I remember grinding out the feather thingies to meet reshiram and trying to meet all the pokemon. Such an amazing game, wish that more people knew about it.
Snivy mains rise up ‼️😤 gahhhh.... this game holds so many memories for me. I remember crying when all your friends got taken away/hypnotized. I really wish I could play it again but my wii is gone. This all just makes me so happy to see again. The Maractus trio was always my favorite, ever since poke park Maractus had always been my favorite. Edit: Cheese and rice I don’t remember the story being this dark sheesh!
Pokepark 2 will always have a special place in my heart. I remember one of my family friends coming over to our apartment once and the first thing he said to us was, “When can we play PokePark?” *I’ll never forget lol**
Darkrai in this game really reminded me of my favorite Pokévillain, Cyrus. It was interesting seeing some very direct parallels between them, including being seemingly ignorant of how much his three commanders care for him.
The thing I remember enjoying a lot and still do, is how they gave each pokemon character, with its own distinct personnality, with quite a bit of worldbuilding, I just really love how it shows how each pokemon spend their time and how entertaining their different personnalities are
This was actually my very first Pokemon game, a bit of an unorthodox introduction to the series but not a bad one at all. Glad to see people giving it attention!
This game helped foster my love for Unova’s regional Pokémon, I can never understand how they get so much hate from the fandom. The story is really good too, as is the music. Special shout-out to all the Wish Park themes, the songs that play during the main story are some of the most chilling in the entire franchise, especially the Flight Zone. And the song that plays there during the post game is possibly the single most underrated song in the franchise, it’s that good. I will always with that this series was still around today, a 3D sandbox story-driven Pokémon game where you play as Pokémon is truly a great idea and we need more of it!
Great video. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who made a 20+ minute analysis of this masterpiece. Pokepark 2 was a huge part of my childhood and when I revisited it I found one hell of a hidden gem. I swear I played it 3 times in just 2020 alone, I've never had more fun with a game in my life.
I'm so happy I could finally find a review sharing the same fondness I have for these games! I recently showed my boyfriend the second game for the first time when he was up here for the holidays, since he never got to play it, and he loved them. This is certainly a great start for your channel and I look forward to seeing more!
I’m so glad to see somebody covering these games. They were a MASSIVE part of my childhood, and I’ve thought about them every year of my life- and now I’m nearly an adult :) I really feel that they’re incredibly underrated spin-offs
OH! OH SHIT I LOVE THIS GAME! : D WAIT WAIT WAIT I EVEN REMEMBER THE THEME SONG!! >_< in pokepark two wonders beyond, pikachu must save the lost pokemon! but it's an adventure he can't do himself, so he brought his pals to have some help HEY HEY oshawott is cool and he swims, snivy jumps high to help her friends, tepig can smash through anything, together they make the ultimate team! woah-oh, WOAH-OH! : D god this game brings back so many memories. awesome review!
This was really interesting! I really enjoyed watching these, I played the hell out of both these games as a kid but remember very little of the story, but they’re still very special to me haha. I can’t wait to see what your next video will be! Have you considered making one on the mystery dungeon games?
Thanks so much!! :D I am considering Gates to Infinity as a future video to take a look at what it did well and why it tends to be considered the black sheep of the series!
@@nekolacey I would love to see that! Gates is so slept on and underrated! I’m a die hard explorers fan and I’d not heard many good things about it so when I went into it I was completely blown away! Sounds like a really interesting topic!
Best game ever, so zen, so chill, almost like animal crossing, but with pokemon, the story felt epic, I loved this as a little kid. I miss pokepark. Good video.
This was another great video! Ah, I really liked this series when the games came out. Although I don't think I ever befriended every Pokémon in this one. Maybe I should do that soon...ish. If only there weren't so many other games I still want to play... That reminds me, for some reason the biggest German Nintendo Let's Player was really obsessed with making this game look bad. Not sure what his problem with this game was, but he really hated it. I used to think I was in the minority liking it back then. Oh well. In any case, I will continue to hope for Poképark 3. (And Pokémon Ranger 4. That too, please. Thanks, Pokémon Company.)
I'm really glad you made this! I loved this game as a kid, and I had checked it out from the library enough that I had almost 100%ed it. This was the first game to almost make cry. It's a shame the library lost it. I'd get my own copy but these days they're just so darn expensive.
I'm so glad your channel was recommended to me so I could find these PokePark videos! The few, very rare times I've seen people talk about these games, it's been negatively, which always made me really sad. As a kid, I always saw the ads for these games, and I would see their boxes in game stores, but I never got the chance to have a copy of either game for myself. But in high school (I think? Either that or late middle school lol I don't remember for sure) my friend told me they had them, and we played through them together. I have much more memories of this one, because I loved the story so much when we were playing. Something about these games like this that are about the power of friendship, and getting to play them with a real life friend who I now have known for years, makes my memories of them even more special. I kinda doubt Nintendo/Pokemon Company has any interest in continuing this series, but the thought of having a third one on Switch makes my heart happy...Maybe someday
i always thought the hole in the verdant (i think) area would lead me to kyurem or something. i remember trying to hit beach balls, that one soccer ball and even azurill in there in hopes of it unlocking something haha
I loved this game i got it a lot later, when the Wii U was already on the decline even. But man it was so fun, big thanks to my parents who got it for me ❤
There is one other Pokémon who carried over from the first game. I forgot his name but after you cross the bridge to get the post game lake place you can find him on the big tree
This goes up with Super Mario Galaxy and Endless Ocean: Blue World as one of my all-time favourite Wii games. The messages it held were very powerful to me, and even affected me today. I always have fun with it, no matter if I'm following the main plot or making friends just for the heck of it. I don't think we'll get a PokePark 3, but if we did, would it really be able to hold up to a masterpiece like this?
Just praying for pokepark 3 in gen 9 since the themes seems to be past vs future. The game could be fully open world (even though I honestly prefer small themed areas) and focus on how time can heal, dilute, or even end friendships.
I own this up in my house but I have no way to play it, I’d say these spin-offs are some of my least favorite, but they’re still really cool with the really fun areas and pokemon, I wish the new pokemon snap was more like pokepark where you could walk around these areas and take pictures
If they ever make a third game, they should keep the pal thing but have new Pokémon like Rowlet, Piplup, & Scorbunny. The parks could be a lot bigger like for the grass area, a jungle or grassland with a big tree in the middle for Rowlet to fly up to befriend others. And it could bring back using different Pokémon for the mini games
Holy shit this game was magical to me as a kid. I remember grinding out the feather thingies to meet reshiram and trying to meet all the pokemon. Such an amazing game, wish that more people knew about it.
I really enjoyed the pokepark games and would be really interested to see a third one
I want a fusion of Pokepark and Mystery Dungeon
Me too
They started making one but they canceled it. we should boycott Pokémon /j
@KhaySem0412 it was a joke
@KhaySem0412 but the 3rd game thing was real. It was supposed to come out december 2018

I loved playing as snivy
It goes Snivy, Oshawott, Pikachu, and Tepig.
Snivy mains are superior
I indeed am also a snivy main
I just...
Gotta go fast...
I liked playing as Snivy even before I realized she was the fastest, I just loved her so much
Pokepark 2 will always have a special place in my heart. I remember one of my family friends coming over to our apartment once and the first thing he said to us was, “When can we play PokePark?”

8:42 Actually, Piplup and Pikachu aren't the only 'mons from the original Pokepark! Burmy and Duskull say they're from the first park too!
correction, Gothorita is male- he says about that after you battle him, after you brought Darkrai back from the Vortex
The thing I remember enjoying a lot and still do, is how they gave each pokemon character, with its own distinct personnality, with quite a bit of worldbuilding, I just really love how it shows how each pokemon spend their time and how entertaining their different personnalities are

I have just gone to Mexico and my aunt said that pokepark2 was her childhood game, I played it of course. It’s one of the best games ever

It's just a shame that this game isn't as well known, or doesn't have as much RUclips content. This game was my childhood, and it's excellent!
10:57 SNIVY'S LITTLE DANCEY DANCE AWWWW
Ah, another Snivy main, I almost never played the other ones during my playthroughs

I've never played the first pokepark game, however when I was younger all I would play was Pokepark 2 and Pokemon Rumble that was my life lol.
I’m so glad to see somebody covering these games. They were a MASSIVE part of my childhood, and I’ve thought about them every year of my life- and now I’m nearly an adult :) I really feel that they’re incredibly underrated spin-offs
Call me a terrible person, but as a kid, I always loved hitting Pokémon in the overworld for absolutely no reason just to see how they would react.
At least you didn't try to jump off a cliff when Pokémon could follow you.
me too
I only do that with Krokorok and Krookidile because of how easy they are to anger. 😆
2 MONTHS AGO? I CANT BELIEVE PPL INVEST SO MUCH INTO POKEPARK EVEN AFTER SO MANY YEARS
I love you’re profile pic. Because I watched LP’s of this game at a young age, Audino has been ingrained in my head as a great Pokemon.
Woah, I really missed a huge experience by not finishing the second game, I should look for my old Wii and give it a second try :o

The number of dislikes on the video are from the amount of people that hate pokepark. Thats why there arent any.
Also you deserve more views and subs
