  • Saileach is considered to be a decently powerful support of a six star, but is it worth the investment to reach that power? This video covers both the good and the bad of Saileach, letting you understand her to the fullest.

A tiny bit of explanation as to how I approached this showcase, for Saileach, I was more concerned about putting out the resources needed for building to value output ratio. Hence the comparison towards her lower rarity counterparts like Myrtle and Elysium. For those who value extreme high DP generation (which isn’t usually needed except contingency contract), then Saileach has something for you.
With regards to Skill 2 Saileach being able to heal enmity operators, I didn’t find it too significant to mention, but I understand that some of you have enmity operators as your favourites, like La Pluma for instance. I do have a tiny regret for giving this a miss after posting the video, so if I ever remake this video, I’ll give it more attention.

  • @kew8796
    @kew8796 Год назад +169

Something that was missed is that saileach s2 is also able to heal enmity ops such as mudrock and la pluma. Doesn't make up for all of its flaws completely but one of the few ways to heal them and can be useful burst healing for those units in some scenarios.
edit: Another thing to note is the potency of the burst healing being on par with single target medics. Saileach as a flag bearer has very similar attack stat compared to single target medics and with s2 heals every second for the duration of the skill compared to single target medics who have attack times of 2.85 seconds. With the defense increase of 50% and healing for half her attack per second I think this video is discounting the increase of survivability that s2 can provide. Due to the skills downtime, it can't be used to replace a healer but it is able to help support a healer that is unable to keep a laner alive on their own.

    • @mrfrog1794
      @mrfrog1794 Год назад +9

I've personally used s2 to keep ops alive, the defense boost is small but often shaving a few hundred damage off an attack can make what would have been a oneshot livable
something else not noted is that because it's continuous regeneration it doesn't run into the problem of ops getting spiked to nothing between heals

Yeah. The skill can heal Mudrock from 1 HP to full before the skill duration ends. I've also used her S2 for those times where Penance hasn't had the chance to build enough barrier yet and is dipping into health. It's a flawed but potentially busted skill.

Saileach's S1M3 is expensive, but it's surprisingly been her most common skill in record CC clears -- sometimes even over Elysium because of her ASPD talent. Saileach's also one of the only two operators (alongside Weedy) to use all three of their skills in record CC clears. Crazy versatile and powerful op at all levels of play.

  • @gjet35
    @gjet35 Год назад +21

Saileach absolutely is the utility Operator of the Vanguard's (moreso than Elysium's S2) due to both her S2 and S3 - being able to heal one target and jack up their DEF (even if they can't be healed normally) or stunning, slowing and Fragile-ing enemies around her Ensign. The fact that she buffs and debuffs attack speed at the same time is the cherry on top of the cake. She's risen to prominence again thanks to the Agent's, as they can easily supplement DP charging so Saileach can shine with her S2 and S3 utility.
Edit: S3 also has one of the best SFX in the game - it sounds so crunchy. Also her S2 is great in that she has a pretty high attack stat to keep someone healthy alongside the DEF boost.

Disclaimer: I am going to state the following opinion from the perspective of a whale who has max potentials for all the standard bearers, and who uses their S1 more on average.
On the topic of Saileach's 2nd talent, I would say its strength lies in its general application. For example, deploying Saileach and then Mountain will cost the same amount of DP as deploying Myrtle and then Mountain. Sure, Elysium's talent can apply to multiple sniper operators -- which can be fantastic, but this is only stronger when you start your early-game with two or more snipers. Due to the technical equalizing of DP with Myrtle, the main distinguishing features between the two boils down to faster DP in early game vs faster DP in mid/late game, and heals for vanguards vs ASPD disparity between your Ops and the enemy. I usually prefer the later because it is strong as an all-class offensive and defensive boost, while Myrtle's is a conditional defense. Between Bagpipe and Mountain, I usually don't have anything to worry about in the early game, so it's the mid/late game I build my squad to accommodate.

  • @timeforsuchaword

    I like this series.
Saileach's talent 2 make her cost netural after her first s3 activation and she still has dp generation comparable to a pioneer vanguard after that (pretty much exactly the same dp/s as flametail's s3), so you can think of her as trading lane holding ability for utility and a faster refund. I sometimes take her with s1m0 over elysium or myrtle s1m3 because it can be worth a small dp efficiency loss for the benefits of her talent 1. All three of these ops are nicely balanced against each other and remain useful in different situations.

Saileach is a valuable unit bcs she's packs all you need in single operator.
her talent already a good start, grant 10-12ASPD, snatch Enemies ASPD 10-12 (poten upgrade) within banner range, and another talent that reduce Next DP Cost any operator after saileach deployed
her skill also supergood with Average skill rotation:
she can act Offensive Support Slow w/Skill 3, Act Defensive w/Skill 2, generic DP Printer W/Skill 1.
and fun facts, bcs Skill 2 act as "Regenerate", she can target allies that normally cannot be healed directly, like Summoned unit, Zombie guard, or Juggernaut defender. Agains, another valuable skill that myrtle can't do.
i can only conclude 1 reason why Saileach rarely being picked / invested despite having promising toolkit....
*She's a 6 stars* , for Casual player, most doctor only ask Flagbearer one thing....DP Printing as early as Possible and She fail to fulfill bcs rarity. And since she's coming late, Saileach lose the recognition before getting spotlight bcs most player already invest Myrtle & Elysium (or DIMAS) as well as Mastering it from begin with and think it's enough.
Saileach are designed for player who need others stuff aside from DP printing. Otherwise, she's not for you. she don't need a buff because she's already so damn good for Flagbearer, so good to the point where she Sidetracked as Offensive/Defensive Support and she perform admirably, which is rare and make her almost irreplaceable when she needed.

The second talent is simply QOL where if it didn't exist, it would be much much harder to deploy after her which defeats the purpose of her being a vanguard. Her S1 is the highest DP per second amongst all flagbearers, meaning she does have a use over Myrtle or Elysium, though I would argue that she would be better for annihilation than early stages in story or events. Her S2 isn't her best skill by any means but the healing is very significant for the SP cost and duration, in addition to the aspd buff being more likely to be useful if placed on friendly operators. The defense buff is actually quite significant, and even without S2M3, it'll give about 35% more defense, which on most defenders will GIVE them 1000 def, and I'm not sure who has a flat 1000 defense without buffs. 500 extra defense is very significant, and even if it were 35% instead, it would be very useful still. Her S3 is easily her best skill, offering slow, stun, debuff, and DP all in one. The utility is massive for a spammable skill and that's why she's worth building.
Also, the ASPD buff and debuff works even off-skill, its just on Saileach.
Would easily recommend e2 all three flagbearers but prioritizing Myrtle is in everyone's best interest. Other than that Saileach is extremely versatile in her support capabilities and would recommend anyone who already has her to consider her e2 as soon as possible.

The class and Branch of Saileach may not be as important as the Support tag she has as her kit definitely brings a lot of it.
Talent 1 is ASPD impact which is huge in AK.
S3M3 has: low cost, high damage bomb, long stun, slow AND fragile percentage application on par with Hexer Supporters regardless of enemy HP (+ the 10 DP generation)
The combination of all this in a single low cost skill is unique if I know my ops.
And back to class, in a Vanguard as well. Often your first deployed op.
Even if Saileach is more expensive to deploy then Myrtle, with S3M3 you stun and slow anything while you generate enough DP to bring any operator you want to deploy next at a -2 DP cost.
If sure feels like she makes up for her flaws compared to Myrtle.
Also let's not forget: Flag Bearers haven't gotten their modules yet.

edit: i realized that myrtle, bagpipe, saileach and cantabile will generate a lot of DP so i can probably afford to use Saileach S3 for that damage amp

As i saw in few High End Contents, many players use Saileach instead. Also if you play Vanguard Only niche, Saileach is (maybe) MUST HAVE VG. Just my opinion though. Anyone can disagree

Yes, it can stun aerial enemies, though not too sure about the slow and fragile debuff. It certainly is handy for some aerial enemies that become ground enemies when stunned.

To break down the S1 skill cycle efficiency, let's do some math because every loves math. Just S1 and disregard everything else because apparently her S1 performance is "worse" when it literally has the same skill cycle as Elysium.
    Saileach/Elysium S1M3 costs 26 SP to generate 18 DP. That's 0.69 DP per second.
Myrtle S1M3 costs 22 DP to generate 14 DP. That gives us 0.63 DP per second.
The results for the dp/sec is very close but clearly, Saileach/Elysium performs better.
Now, for the skill cycle. Assume we will use these ops for 2 minutes.
Saileach/Elysium S1M3 skill cycle of 26 seconds gives us 4 uses within 120 seconds. For a total of 72 DP
Myrtle S1M3 skill cycle of 22 seconds gives us 5 uses. For a total of 70 DP.
Again, negligible difference but this proves which S1 does a better job in the long run.
Myrtle gives DP faster at the start than Saileach/Elysium, sure. But if that's how you weigh their value as an operator, there's definitely something wrong with you.
    Edit: Some typo

Meanwhile high risk CC be like:
Bagpipe, Cantabile, Texas, Myrtle, Elysium, Saileach, with all flagbearers all on S1
just to generate enough DP to Surtr the first normal mob.

Honestly it also works decently on people like Blaze, especially if Blaze is facing higher pressure. Sure, Blaze has her talent that helps her not die so quickly, but the def buff and healing helps her
Saileach S3 is the more generally powerful skill but frankly S2 is not a waste of resources for various allies, not just units who can't be healed normally like Hellagur

Her s2 shine the most when paired with mudrock s3 to tank a boss or really anything that deal huge dmg.
after mudrock s3 ended you throw sailseach s2 at mudrock to keep her defense buffed until s3 is ready again.

ASPD +10 = +5% attack speed (e.g., 1.05 second attack speed becomes 0.9975 second attack speed)
    ASPD +100 = +50% attack speed
    ASPD +200 = +75% attack speed
