Nice job.. especially the tip about rubbing that spray on for the seasoning.. I was a little heavy handed when I did mine and once I got my fire going I had a lot of dripping. Happy New Year Boss!👊🏿

Merry Christmas, pretty soon we'll be Rolling Smoke with the Hungry Hussey!!
That's right! Looking forward to it! However, lately, these temps we're seeing, I'm not planning to cook soon! haha.
@@thehungryhussey cold weather is when you want to smoke your cheeses helps keep the temperature down
You are going to LOVE that LSG pit!!!!! Congrats to ya brother and Cheers!!!!
Thanks Troy. Been watching a lot of yours and Justin's videos on these. I still have a lot to learn! Appreciate you stopping by brother!

Congratulations and welcome to the world of Lone Star Grillz. Love mine.
Thanks Ray! I'm looking forward to cooking with this beast.
What a gorgeous looking off set smoker!! Great tips on how to season it and to get it ready for business. Enjoy it HUSS!!! 👍😊
Thanks David!
Are the tuning plates tac welded in place pr can you move them closer to manage heat distribution
They can be moved.
@@thehungryhussey awesome congrats on the new pit.
Enjoying your new journey with this smoker, can’t wait for first cook. Cheers
You and me both! Thanks BAT for stopping by!
Gotta luvit. One of the best things about a pit made of plate, rather than sheet metal, is its ability to hold a steady temp due to its mass.
It's pretty amazing how well it hold temps.
Hello from Kernersville! Merry Christmas to you and your family. Great video Sir. Them boys down in Lexington will be knocking on your door soon asking for BBQ tips. Keep up the good work.
Hi James! appreciate you stopping by! Appreciate that!
What kind of wood are you burning?
Hickory and oak.
This is awesome Can't wait to see what all you pull off from that. I already know it will be the best. Enjoy.
Merry Christmas.
Thank you and Merry Christmas!
YOOOOOOOOOOOOO HH! What was that ISO set at?? 3600????

@@thehungryhussey WOW! Man thats a mean ass smoker bro! Merry Christmas to you and your fam bam, from Cali babay...you got me SPRUNG!!!
Great video. I need to season mines
What do you have? This has been looming over my head for far too long. It was fun to get at it.
Badass pit! Nice logo on there as well. Those Lonestar Grillz look to be super efficient
Thanks my friend! Appreciate you stopping by!
Merry Christmas!!! Wishing you and your family all the best!! Loving that new smoker -- eager to see you put it to use. :)
Need to plan that first cook soon my friend! It's been so darn cold here to be outside long enough.
Stick burners
You are going to need more sticks, a lot more
Had a Lang 60D and a Maxey for several years
I like sleep to much to go back to stick burners..
I have more in the bed of the truck, I didn't put many under it.
I vacuumed mine out before i seasoned it. A little bit of metal shaving were inside. Its a really nice smoker. #LSG 👍🏽
Probably a good idea to do that. Didnt' think of that.
Stink burners are great for a while, until you realize you like sleeping lol.
Haha... You have a point!
Leave the smoke box cracked open and add more wood. To raise the pit temp. Also work on a better coal bed before you add your splits. Great video man !! I want that that smoker
My concern out the gate was to not go over 250 degrees for the paint cure process. There were times in the cook where I would crack it to get more air moving in and out to clean clean the smoke. I do believe I'll add more lump with more kindling next time to get more of a coal bed. Thanks for the advise!
@@thehungryhussey That was my thought after my post lol
