I tend to always swap in the older components for free practice. They dont need to be fast, so they can run on fill preserve & avoid curbs etc. Just remember to swap back before qualifying!
Tip: If you want to run the engine on low because of the temperature, you can underfuel your car so you can drive faster. In the beginning, I recommend underfueling two or three laps. You will always get lapped once or twice, and you can make the rest on low engine mode.

Honestly this video is a blessing, i do have some questions tho: 1. From what I saw, quantity is better than quality ; and by that i mean its better to make a lot of parts without CFD and bet it all on one, than making like two parts with CFD. How is that? Is the CFD buff not as much compared to not having any? 2. The CFD parts you developed are then used to make other non-CFD parts, so parts actually cost about twice as much. Couldn't that have the same effect with intense research? When should it be used? I only remember intense research from F1 Manager 2022, it mightve changed in 2023.
So the way CFD work is that the CFD gives you a huge gain of expertise, but that expertise is not applied to the part you spent CFD time on. So by using all of our CFD on one part we can get a huge boost, and then we make the second one to take full advantage of that boost. Intense is a 3x cost for 1,5x expertise gain. In create a team with limited budget in the first season it is really not worth it.
@@NeroBax Got it, so from what I've gathered, it's actually the expertise that is the most crucial in development, not the time you spend on parts itself. That would understand why you make what I've thought was too many parts, but now it makes sense.

Could the engineer numbers reducing mid season be down to the game recalibrating your strategy of changing the design centre from lvl 2 to lvl1 at the start?
Yeah, would assume it is a bug as the game assumes you start with a lv2 design centre, when we downgraded to get a lv2 factory instead the game didn't do it correctly until we did a sponsor plan that weakened the design centre and forced an update.
What do you mean by the Renault powertrain when you said to run it at low? Do you drive it with the fuel conservation commands at all times? How would you maximize the good fuel intake they have and try to take advantage over the other teams? i expect an answer seens am a norwegian brother
So Renault has the best fuel efficiency meaning you can theoretically underfuel the Renault engine the most. Basically it is the engine that uses the least amount of fuel to get trough a race.
Looking forward to start a myteam carreer, but i dont want to invest the time now...if they fix the ai design and the counteroffers and that doesnt apply to existing saves, that would s*ck...
I simmed everything, practice is tedious and takes awhile so bit the bullet and simmed trough as the goal at that point wasn't anymore points just getting trough the year.
Is there a glitch when you try to reduce the engineers on a job that’s already started? Because you did it so easily but when I did it the “confirm” does not show up so I can’t reduce the engineers on the upgrade I have going
Tried to use this strat on my Create A Team save, and eventually my car part designs dont actually provide any major improvements to the car, despite the car sitting roughly in the midfield?
How does the projected end of season balance work? I have the same huge negative projection that you do shown, like -$50 million, so I had been really conserving my money. You're showing -$60 million and spending all your money as you get it. Seems like that projection isn't accurate at all?
Do you even need affiliates for anything?? I’ve restarted a few times and always got rid of both of them. Thought it was saving me instant $$ in the next seasons??
Basically you can put them in the car for FP1 to develop them, it's basically a development system where the affiliate takes advantage of your facilities to develop quicker.
Normally when you’re playing with an actual F1 Team the cost cap is 130 odd million whatever it is but in create a team or my team whatever you wanna call it it’s only 60 odd million what factors into that cause in my current save I have as the drivers Verstappen and Norris and all of Red Bull’s staff head of aero technical chief sporting director race engineers I’ve got GP and Joseph same as real life and level three and two facilities at least when I started

Yes, and if you can do the highest you can actually make more than the sponsorship expects. Similar to Kimi's Lotus contract.

Now that they supposedly fixed AI only developing two parts, is this strat still optimal?
Ai is still bad at development as they require 5 engineers for each project so it should work fine until next patch.

At some point you will end up with very minimal gains, as you get higher expertise levels at that point researching is your best bet for improvement.

1 for each, with the exception of using CFD/Wind, for those designs I make another afterwards for maximum gains.
