I could not have revived my old 97 Saturn SW1 that sat in the barn over 20 years, without your help. Just installed LED's in the interior and tail lights, but seeing how annoying they are with people blinding me on the road with them, I think I will stick with my halogens. You are my Saturn go-to guy... Blessings and humble veneration.

Always puts a smile on my face to see your venerable old Saturn still kicking!
Was going to mention the issue with CANBUS/computerized fuse boxes but you beat me to it :)

Great video Rich thanks for sharing. So my 98 sc1 still lives today but I'm still having a fuel issue possibly electrical I have no idea really. I payed a mechanic to change the fuel pump about a year ago and the filter I did this myself-...crankshaft sensor, coilpacks, spark plugs, ignition module, fuel filter, throttle position sensor, checked fuel injectors, changed relay, and still to this day if I get down to 3/4ths tank full. it will hesitate and shut down on me. Then if I wait 10 mins or so it will come back to life and I can't Hope to get home or to nearest gas station. To avoid the problem I keep filling it up before it gets there. Wondering if you have any suggestions. Maybe mechanic did something wrong on the install of fuel pump. I did have a loose electrical connector at the fuel pump it's self. I thought the pump died but got back under there and wiggled the wire harness and it came back but with same gas issue. So I lowered the tank and made sure it was good a solid connection by adjusting the pin clamps. Pump always primes now and powers up so thats not the stalling issue. I really thought the second new fuel filter I just purchased would be the fix. My question Rich is do you think it could be my cheap 15 dollar autozone fuel filter?.. and that if I replace it with a wix could that possibly fix my issue? Or what do you suggest from here. Have you ever experienced something like this? When the car dies it shakes engine pretty good and sometimes I can pull to shoulder and if I hit the clutch before complete stop it will stay idling but if I push the gas down it wants to buck and shut off. Also if I just sit there for ten mins shut it off and wait it will comeback for another good ten miles or so before it happens again. I want to get her running like a champ I only got 160k miles on it. I have put a lot of time and effort in it largely thanks to all your of great videos. Any kind of input at all when you have time would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all you do.. also I'm curious how much the LED lights cost? Also I want to add that the issue has been ongoing since the day the mechanic changed the new fuel pump over a year ago now. Thanks Rich ..I won't give up or let her go.

double check everything, if your connector is loose i'd inspect the plug and make sure there isn't a problem with it latching down on the fuel pump, or the sensor next to it.
i just replaced my fuel pump with a carter model, pricey but supposedly high quality, seemed alot better than what i pulled out.
the fuel filter is also a regulator, so if you think that's the problem it would be worth buying a good one, on rock auto i've seen them up to 40 dollars.
if those check out, don't forget about your motor mounts, i had to replace mine, and it made a world of difference from vibrations, at all rpms
but good luck! people talk bad about these cars, but here we are in 2022 xP

@@ZaneofAustin thank you. You just reminded me to go back to all my posts for a conclusion/update..thank you for the input much appreciated. So I did most of what you said even went to pull all new electrical connectors and some hoses from a junk yard .. I bought a new OEM quality fuel pump from Amazon for only 54 bucks and a very decent filter for 15.. all my issues were instantly solved.. so turns out Mechanic who did fuel pump for 550 originally 2 years ago totally ripped me off. Pump was bad from the day I left his lot.The tube in the middle from pump to line was not airtight ..Also he told me he payed 235 for it but it was a persision brand..I found the same model at O'Reilly's for 60 bucks lol I've been driving on a shitty pump for 2 years thinking it can't be that..for the 1st time I can actually use a full tank of gas now full power on big hills and can maintain 75 instead of 55.. it's amazing now. Bright side is I've learned so much about these cars an everything else that I could possibly fix or replace has already been done.. just about to turn 177,777 miles now. Thank you even though last 2 years were rough it never left me stranded ..Saturn's are Great 👍

The warm light is more pleasing to the eye and oncoming traffic as I talked about once before. 4000k would be more acceptable. Warm is normally 2700 to 3000K. The life span is very much overstated and you will likely change these out much more frequently. LED in low output scenarios generally last a very long time but not so much in the higher output models as seen here.

I remember you tried putting 9012 bulbs in your car months before. What happened, did they burn out or caused a problem?

Well it does look whiter :-D
Nice and simple to fit as well.
i would put the halogen bulbs on the shelf, i don't have much belief in leds for long term use.
But that's me "Mr negative" lol.
There must be a bridge rectifier in the driver so polarity does not matter, i'm sure you came to the same conclusion.
