    Being older than the internet I can remember it's early years and going from one end of the internet to the other. Those days are a distant memory 😊

      I still remember when the World Wide Web contained only research documents written in text and it was only available at research facilities (including universities which were early adopters). At that time, I'd been a moderator of the Intellec Network for several years. The early Internet was a step down in the wealth of information available via the BBS network carried in 140+ countries by echomail.
      I also remember working at the first company in the metropolitan area where I live to have a T-1 connection. The latency from East Tennessee to Stratus Computers in Hartford, CT was < 1 millisecond. There was very little traffic on the Internet back then. How times have changed.

    Im a Jr. AI Engineer Intern in GenAI for a startup. You have to be comfortable with data preprocessing - transformation and reduction. Also have to learn Python for working with LangChain and Vertex AI. It was the only opportunity that presented itself after I graduated. The talent pool for software devs is way oversaturated from bootcamps in the last 10 yrs. AI is going to be the next rush.

    Good talk. Timely for me, I'm learning AI! Great tip, you have to enjoy it, 100%! AI has been around a long while. Very few relative jobs in AI until recently though. It's one that is hard to predict as it depends on where it may go, new breakthroughs or not. The hype could fizzle out. An AI winter. Or not. But like game dev (my past career) I would expect it to come back again sooner or later, dips and peaks. It's usually always the least skilled who get laid off. So just make sure you become an expert if career matters to you. So stay in a position where you are learning, or move if you just become a machine learning nothing new. Yes, another good tip, need good background knowledge. Reading up on documentation and Tutorials are good. Communities are good, slack channels. I suggest new SM accounts just for AI. Stops distractions! AI should be here to stay, with ups and downs in job demands. As it's so fundamental and useful. I'm not sure which way I will branch, low level deep into coming up with new algorithms, or finding new ways to use existing ones. But I love R&D word and experimenting myself with new algorithms! EDIT - I may fail to be good at it as getting on now, in 50s! But I am not putting pressure on myself. Just taking it how it goes. I have always been interested in AI. This gives me the patience to keep reminding videos explaining and make notes.

    I've seen some your videos about solveing problems and learning methods and I'm curious what's your point of view for this method when You try to create your own small script or app. You've just found good example and try to learn this but in code is a couple topics which You don't know. So at first You're writing many difference examples how to use this topic(functions,objects etc) or maybe another way. You change many times this basic script with this topics to learn mechanism ? Of course every single another example is a experiment and the problem which You should solve.

    Lots of parts to the AI thing from Chat bots, to Analysis bots, to rendering bots. Its like AI leap isn't just one but the ability to run local council of bots. Just look up the 1980's Concept of the "Knowledge Navigator". Chat GPT-4o is getting really close.

  • @greenpixel556
    @greenpixel556 16 дней назад +1

    I think smarter is to stop trend chasing and think about making something useful instead. And that will guarantee your success. Only useful products and jobs makes money. If you are chasing crowd that chases trend, that only leads to diminishing returns. The only profit you can gain is if you are only reporter or influencer that wants to post trending topics, but again you end up in a crowd of other reporters that just regurgitate same trending topics.

      @@rashedulkabir6227 There is no such thing as easy money, you need to be well educated and work hard to make money. You want example ? Well even if i give you, you most likely won't understand. Scientists and engineers don't just sit in the office and gets money. You can be useful by solving problems, or helping to solve problems, being police officer o a doctor is a good example. But if you want to make a busnes it's not an easy task to find a solvable problem that can also be profitable.

    Hey I started learning a big data analytics recently and also self- studying math cuz I thought math is the most fundamental stuff to learn for tech career. Am I on the right track??

    • @the_okayest_dad
      @the_okayest_dad 16 дней назад

      Yes and no. It really depends on your interests and goals. If you're getting into big data, it's crucial to learn SQL and Python (start with the pandas library). For math, focus on:
      Linear Algebra: Important for data science and machine learning.
      Statistics and Probability: Key for data analysis and predictive modeling.
      Calculus: Useful for optimizing machine learning algorithms.
      Also, learn a big data tech like Hadoop or Spark (PySpark is a great start). Lastly, get familiar with a visualization tool like Power BI, Tableau, or matplotlib. This will give you a strong foundation. (Source: Am a data scientist with 12 years experience)
      Oh, and get signed up with Kaggle and do some projects there. You can add these to your portfolio as well. Good luck!

    5:55 i think you don't really understand how big AI is. It will be the fundament of every work in the future. Sure, there will be new tech trends. But AI will be way smarter than you at this point and will work way better in every field you can think of. AI will outperform everyone in just a few years. I wouldn't go for any job that has to do with data or bureaucracy. You will have a well paid job for a few years, but you will be replaced soon 100%.
