I agree that Shabani is more interactive and affectionate with his family, especially his offspring. I think that the big difference here is that Momotaro grew up without his father, who died before his birth. He did not have that example in his life or anyone to model himself after. He has grown as a Papa, and definitely loves his 2 boys, but he has a more serious and shy personality. Shabani is quite confident, and all personality. You really can't compare them, just love them both. ❤️❤️🇨🇦

I love how Shabini interacts with his family compared to Big Mo being cold and distant. But I feel closer to the Momotaro family because there are only four very distinct individuals you get to love. No Shabani and Momotaro arent brothers, Shabani brother is Haoko, Haoko is Shabani older brother , he is 26 years old and Shabani is 23 years old. However Haoko wife Momoka is Momotaro Mother, and all of Haoko and Momoko children are Momotaro siblings. So Shanbani would be more of a Step Uncle to Momotaro, because Haoko is Momotaro Step Father 😊
I think Shabani has the best personality, but, Momotaro is the most handsome and regal. He is just an example of strength and power. That earthquake video just did it for me. Shabani warms my heart with his interactions with his troop, especially his kids, and more so, Annie. Kintaro just makes my day. I actually start my day with this lil dude. I love when he is still trying to figure out what he is going to do next. That sideways run is just adorable. So, I guess it’s six in one hand and half a dozen in the other, with a strong lean towards the Momotaros.

I so wish they could reunite Momotaro with his brothers he'd probably be so much more happier. Most times he's off to himself and doesn't engage with his wife and children. I think he misses his Mom and siblings.
Genki had emotional issues with sharing a male with other females. Its why she's missing parts of fingers and toes. She bit them off and had stopped eating when they sent her to another zoo. They had to bring her back home to be briught back to health. They had to look for a male who could be OK with one female. They found momotaro because of his personality. I worry once gentaro then kintaro are sent to other zoos genki won't be able to handle them leaving.

Shabani's females know how to make him move so they can take his seat....lol did anyone else notice that? I still think they need to get another female in for Momotaro he's bored and Genki needs a friend...especially when they take Gentaro away from them..
So these two silverbacks are brothers, how about a virtual visit. I want to see there reaction just to see each other again. Maybe put an image on that computer game that Momotaro plays. Or give them an item that bares there scent. How about a large photo of them and the scent and each ones favorite treat. People in prison that have done wrong or been in the wrong place are allowed to have communication from the outside and family. I can hardly waite, I know this good.
Shabani's older brother is Haoka, who is at Ueno Zoo. The brothers were born in the Netherlands. Momotaro was born in Japan. His mom is paired with Haoka now & Momo has 3 half-siblings. Thought you'd be interested.
Momoco from Ueno zoo is Momontaro mom. Momoco s husband in Haoco who is Shabani brother. Haoco has bad behaveur and always is anoying and bitting poor Momoco. She cant scape from the atack of that huge male. Haoco is unfit to lead a troop. Zoos fail.
Momotarou and his family was my first introduction into watching these types of videos. I've watched other families, but they are my favorite thanks to my little Kin Kin...Kintaro. It's also pretty neat to find out more information about them...like the fact that Momo and Shabani are brothers.

Shabani plays with his kids and family more then any silverback in any zoo. He would never make it in the wild he is to nice of a guy.

Riki is Haokos son and also Momotaros brother. Kintaro and Riki look a lot alike especially when Riki was younger. I think Riki just turned 4🥳

Momotaro did not grow up with any siblings. They were all born after he got together with Genki.
