Hey man i have an 89 chevy c1500 single cab. Stock rims all the way around with no center caps… i found a seller for center caps but kept contemplating wether i should buy them or just get new rims. Seeing your final results after restoration was phenomenal and convinced me to do the same.
Congrats man! Im glad I could help someone out. Mine turned out great and Im super happy with them! Thank you for letting me know! The white letter tires really set them off too.
Congrats your wheels look really good! I was paying attention to the truck it's self, you might want to consider buffing it out. If that's something your interested in doing. I wouldn't bother sanding it, just hit it with a #1 & #2 compound with a wool pad & black pad & possible wax & that red will shine!!

@@hulkgarage454finally starting on it today! Lol. How many coats of clear coat did you put on the rims after painting?
3 coats of clear for me. Hopefully you can get it to dry in the winter climate though. I did mine last summer still holding up.
They look amazing! Keep up the great work!
Thank you.

Thank you for your support. Great tip, yeah I might do it.
Nice tires
Did you clear the entire wheel? Or just where you painted black? Going through the process myself.
@@86mdwolfieyes, the whole wheel.
Looking sharp! Did you polish with the power cone?
Thank you. No just by hand with mothers polish.
Do you need to spray clear again? After or they should be fine gonna do this to mine
I used the tractor paint clear coat you see in the video, but I would go with rustolem brand or the highest quality you can find.
Great question
@@hulkgarage454 lol this process takes forever just started on my rims and i got one done like 80%
Yeah its not quick at all. If you do it right.
The masking off was the worst part
I just baught those wheels don’t fit on my front
That's not even that vintage.
You're so cool arent you.
