Political Correctness aims at language because language is the expression of thoughts and our most common form of communication. If you taboo some words whatever the word is, its literally taken out of thought and discussion. The one's that favor PC actively express their "education pretense" for others and what they need or don't need to think about anymore.
For this reason PC also expresses a very high contempt of other people's ability to think for themselves.
Fun fact from Germany: Every few years the word for foreigners is changed by the media and politicians because the former word wears out and is linked to negative connotations.
Strangers was used, migrants was used and now it became synonym to refugees (in my opinion to state shelter for actual economic migrants which arrive here atm but would have no right to ask for shelter).
Funny thing is, there is even a discussion about the German word for "refugee" going on which translates into "Fluechtling" because of the the syllable "-ling" which could literally belittle refugees according to other words in the German language like "Winzling" which translates into "mite".
And you thought you have a hard time with PC. XD

Here in the United States, "People of Color" is thrown around like it means something. Reversing it and putting the adjective in front of the now and all of a sudden becomes racist. Unless it's a national association for the advancement of CP. It's hilarious.

Must be hard to teach kids to be the way you think they should be without programming any principles that would lead to their acceptance of any other direction from anybody(except any cop, obviously).
If you dont like PC, then stop being so PC. Your PC is to stand against PC with a bunch of other people all taking the same position. If they weren't being PC then you could say whatever you want without ridicule.

A point that some could stand to be reminded of: PC is not about etiquette, therefore, ignoring etiquette does not mean you're "fighting against PC," nor does asking someone to please be polite make you some kind of PC warrior. You can fight PC without being intentionally impolite and offensive.
Likewise, bigotry is anti-individualist, irrational, and I would go so far to say it's immoral (in and Objectivist sense). Being bigoted doesn't mean you're fighting the good fight against PC, and discouraging bigotry doesn't make you pro-PC. There can be some contention over what constitutes bigotry, but in principle we should all be against it.

"What Orwell feared were those who would ban books. What Huxley feared was that there would be no reason to ban a book, for there would be no one who wanted to read one. Orwell feared those who would deprive us of information. Huxley feared those who would give us so much that we would be reduced to passivity and egoism. Orwell feared that the truth would be concealed from us. Huxley feared the truth would be drowned in a sea of irrelevance. Orwell feared we would become a captive culture. Huxley feared we would become a trivial culture, preoccupied with some equivalent of the feelies, the orgy porgy, and the centrifugal bumblepuppy. As Huxley remarked in Brave New World Revisited, the civil libertarians and rationalists who are ever on the alert to oppose tyranny "failed to take into account man's almost infinite appetite for distractions." In 1984, Huxley added, people are controlled by inflicting pain. In Brave New World, they are controlled by inflicting pleasure. In short, Orwell feared that what we hate will ruin us. Huxley feared that what we love will ruin us." - Neil Postman (1985).

PC spin is quite fascinating, though born of evil intent, it is still fascinating. Words are spells, some of which are crafted from from the very depths of evil minds. This is the true currency of the world, as people must use words for everything. If you control communication where it begins inside the mind, you control the mind.
Witches and wizards cast spells, but this is no fairytale. Think about that.

Give your heart mind and soul to God before they take who you are and control you in ways you don't want.
Enter into the law of liberty, freedom and justice.
    Psalms 119:151
Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth.
Jesus is The Word, John 1:1-5
The Word God spoke: Exodus 20:1
The Word God wrote: Deuteronomy 4:13
and The Word God made flesh John 1:14. He is our example of The Trinity. He is The Law that hung on the cross and The Law that is written in the heart.
    Psalms 40:7
Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me
    Hebrews 10:7
Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
With obedience to The Father in Deut.6:8-9, The Father anoints us with His Word, putting us in His Son, The Holy Spirit.
Build up the body of Christ by 'putting on' The Lord. Cling to, dwell in the law (Ten Commandments) and testimony (Sermon on the Mount). We know His voice.
His words are spirit and they are life. Hear Him. Prepare for your future and the life of your loved ones. As Paul tells us, "put on Jesus." Cling to, dwell in the Truth, in life.
Times are moving fast, don't wait to long to decide who you become a servant. For we are a servant to whom you obey. They use force, God uses love.

Etiquette is control as well, but it is voluntary. It is self-control. The big difference between it and PC is that etiquette is socially informed and the punishment for bad etiquette is ostracism and the like. The consequences can be severe, including relationship and job loss. However, the punishment is generally reversible. With PC, the enforcement is legal iron-rod enforcement, often of the arbitrary and insanely unjust variety, decided on secret criteria that are typically entirely foreign to the self-governing individual and societal guidelines. PC is a means of coercing change. Etiquette is a means of persuading conformity to common understanding that is mostly based on respect. Both systems are flawed, but PC has deadly flaws because it is a political system that often puts the reigns of policy into the hands of secret cabals. There might be a secret cabal of old wives for governing etiquette, but they have a hard time putting a guy into jail for refusing an immunization injection.

He even poked fun at political correctness, making fun of trigger warnings: "The amazing concept I've heard about is where you're supposed to warn students if you're gonna talk about something that challenges their values - I thought that's why you went to college!"
Bit of a undeserved indictment by Deist.
