If no mic is installed or the mic is too light, will it stay in position or it'll retract upwards?

I bought all the items but the shock mount has the gold thing inside of it which is not coming out. Which means it wasn’t made for the arm smh

Hi, you just need to unscrew the gold piece from inside (it has threads).
