- Boris and the Dark Survival has a new DLC update called Symphony of Shadows which adds in a host of cool new features including a playable Sammy Lawrence. In addition to the return of Sammy we also get to see new fan art included in a gallery room, a brand new charcater introduced called Emma LaMont and some nifty new music and dance moves. So sit back, relax and let's dive back into the world of Bendy and the Ink Machine with this new BATDS update.

@@chonkbonk4092 well i mean it has to follow the lore. Neither Sammy or Buddy recognize each other from previous interactions(Dreams Come to Life) most likely because Sammy is insane and Buddy lost his memories. So far it seems that Buddy has a way with befriending Lost Ones.

The bendy series needs a Sammy Lawrence prequal game: change my mind
What would a game like that even involve? What content would it have? What would the gameplay look like? Would it actually be fun?
I understand the appeal, but there's a lot that needs to be considered when making a claim like that
Starry Pines like, showing more of the crazed musicians story, and I mean the gameplay mechanics would be quite cool, walking through walls, maybe commanding searchers and lost ones, like in chapter 5 of batim, it is a good idea but yes, I understand there would have to be a lot of thought and it would have to stay in work in progress for a while with batdr on the way, but it was just a thought.
@@bevsale4557 They would have to find a way for it to fit into the lore. Currently we know quite a bit of how Sammy ended up the way he did from Dreams Come to Life. So if we were to get a game with Sammy as a main character then it would have to centralize around the Lost Ones and not just Sammy.

Yeah I’m thinking that you would need to put bendy cutouts everywhere while making sure bendy doesn’t get mad and chases you (I’m saying that maybe for each level you a certain amount of time until bendy comes and the amount goes higher and higher every time.)

Sorry for replying this late but I assume Sammy was probably sick of being attacked by Bendy hundreds of times in the Cycle of Henry's journey, so he just has no reaction.
When u summon Sammy, if u look above where you summoned Sammy, that must be the order when you play the instruments.
This update is unique because it throws in a few things into the game lore:
1) Sammy is probably the only Lost one victim that can move through walls similar to Bendy, but we got confirmation as to how he does it: by slithering through the cracks in the wall (generally creepy but Ok). Course this also begs the question that is it possible for the Projectionist to do the same, as Norman been known to do something like that too.
2) Joey hired a French Accent, English Dance Instructor for the study of body movement for animation (including dancing). This is .... slightly unusual. Yes people hire masters of body manipulation in order to help artists capture movement (Professional Stunt fighters for attacking animation, Dancers for dance animation, etc) but it seems more common to do in today's technology using motion capture rather than for drawing reference; which is why I'm not surprised that Joey didn't bother to give her an office.

The fact that we're not allowed to do the wild boy as Sammy Lawrence is BAFFLING.
This update takes place after the events of Dreams Come to Life book after the incident, where both Buddy Boris and Sammy Lawrence will finally meet again but now as Ink Creatures and after how Buddy witnessed Sammy getting crazier in the book.
Does Sammy know Buddy is Boris?

That explains a lot of things in this update but this time it kinda feel empty. I hope they add more things in this game instead of only new places , song , characters etc.

My theory is that they didn't break up when Susie got replaced, but when she went "missing" (turned into Alice) that could explain why Sammy is so grumpy in the book he could just not be a people person but what if Susie was the only person who he was nice to and he had lost that person

It's cool how me and Mike (SHB) share a favorite chapter and character (Sammy and Chapter 2) I love chapter 2 because it's so simple not too easy not too hard chapter 3 4 and 5 were alright to me I only really liked them because of the atmosphere and interior upgrade I just hate the butcher gang cuz they freak me out too much 😂 it's always the smaller enemies that get me

I thought Sammy was supposed to be a villain but instead we get to play as him as well as the Lost One in the previous update (I think).
Also, since when did Emma LaMont even learned how to do some dance moves that are more based on breakdancing???? + I was actually *wheezing* when Boris was breakdancing 🤣🤣
I just hope that we can *finally open* the box in the game when there's a new update coming. Maybe it's an Easter egg/shoutout from/to either BATIM or BATDR (ngl it's actually more complicated than the box from FNAF).

Tip: when you are looking for items, do not collect any parts until you have searched the entire map for items, because the ink demon doesn't actually spawn until you collect at least 1 part (the more you collect the higher chance they have of spawning)

It shows instruments in ink on the wall where you put the candles and mask, I think that's the order of the instruments you need to play. Also the guy that makes a noise when you play the Instruments is a reference to when you play the piano in chapter 2 of Batim and the guy makes the same noise.

Sammy is my favorit caracter, mainly because he is a maestro, but also because he has a very intresting story, he reminds me of Erik from The Phantom Of The Ópera.

My guess is that “talking lost one” is actually Sammy without the Bendy mask and overalls (much how Suzy Campbell pretended to be someone else in her dark survival dlc) Edit: new theory the “talking lost one” is that mysterious new antagonist that’s been teased for the dark revival
