This is the most beautiful rendition of this song that I have ever heard. It is absolutely beautiful.
I love their gospel music. I've never heard them sing anything else. I agree this is the most beautiful rendition I've ever heard in all of my years.
This slower version really brings out the purity of tone in their voices, especially the soloist. The harmonies are incredibly beautiful due to that tonal quality, enhancing the song and it’s sad lyrics.

This song was written by Hank Williams as he was feeling that God was so far way he just couldn't seem to reach Him. The world made it about human beings. I see Jesus very much in the song.

If you have never felt this way, like you just couldn't seem to touch God. You are the luckiest man ever.
My husband became very ill when I had three pre-schoolers to take.of. He was in the hospital for 2 months and nearly starved to death. They finally found the problem and he lived. He was never well after that. He had Crowns disease. He suffered the rest of his life. There were times If I was honest, that I didnt know where the Lord was. My heart ached, yearning to feel him there. I know now that he was always there, but I was the one that was not yeilded as I should have been. I know know that if God seems far wway, He is not the one who moved.
I love the Booth Brothers, but just don't care for this. Even Elvis Did this, and he aced it, but my favorite version is BJ Thomas by far.
