Assalam-o-Alaikum, the entire argument is pointless when Shia identify themselves as Moomin-Believers rather than Muslims.
Who said or who didn't is irrelevant because it is a claim that Shias don't make.
The issue would be whether Shia or us, Sunnies, are believers or not. If in the first place, we have any authority to hand-out such certificates. Because if determining whether a person was a believer or not was possible for us ummaties, any sensible Muslim would first be able to make such a claim about themselves.
When the honourable Sahabaas got into doubt regarding one another, the best example of which is the battle between Hazrat Amaa Ayesha Siddiquaa (R. A) and Sayyidena Ali (R. A), then late Maulana Jhangvi sahib (R. A) or any of us can never make such claims about others or ourselves.
Unfortunately the fasaad that has been a menace for Pakistan, has one of its roots here.
However I want to state that the blasphemous conduct of my Shia Muslims towards Sayyidena Siddique-e-Akbar (R. A), Sayyidena Farooq-e-Azam (R. A) etc. is unacceptable and very disappointing.
But I refuse to kill ourselves to the benefit of the enemies of our Deen-e-Islam.
