Many years ago I owned a Manta previous to this model which I understand was a press car was fitted with a Steinmetz engine. I can remember the Reg No. but am not sure I should reveal it.
I bought one new in 1985. Had it for 19 years and 113,000 Miles before being vandalised by a gang of about 70 in the East end of London. That was my que to get out of London. Heritage the insurance company paid me £300 after the excess. Disgraceful as it was still in very good condition after 2 resprays the second in 2001 after the wife half spun it into a brick wall ironically in brick lane. Only required a new bumper though and the wing fixed.
