I'm not sure if PCB's music was done in MIDI before it was converted to WAV like with EoSD, but if that's the case, this would be the 'original' version of the song. Considering how much better the WAV version sounds compared to this, it's still very interesting to hear how the alleged 'original' version sounds. :D
ZUN composed the soundtracks for PCB, IN and PoFV with the instruments heard in the WAV versions from the start, unlike EoSD. The SC-88Pro MIDIs were only included as bonus (since ZUN had to make MIDIs for the downloadable trial versions anyway), but some of them might be based on earlier versions of the WAV tracks.
Wow, any chance of a download for this in your groundbreaking thread? I know the MIDIs for the Windows games have less effort put into them, but certain tracks like this one would be great for me to have in another "original" form. I've been obsessively listening to the Torte le Magic and Shuusou Gyoku recordings for the last couple of weeks, and can't express enough thanks for your efforts.
