    Great content. The points about infantry are very interesting.
    My opinion on whether this style is part of the game is yes but it's too dominant and I think it's a map generation problem. The maps have become very predictable and safe in DE, deer pushing is easier etc, such that you can always play this sort of thing if you want to with very little feudal counterplay. It should be the case that only 1 in every 3 or 4 map generations do you get a map gen that allows you to do this sort of thing easily. rest of the time maybe you get fewer straggler trees or your minerals spawn far from woodlines or whatever, so that feudal counterplay becomes possible. The point of aoe is that you're meant to pick your strat based on the map gen. For example, if you have forward gold below a hill, you probably don't open archers. Etc. Doesn't mean archers are bad but the map dictates things. You shouldn't be able to get above 1500 if you're playing the same strat every game.

    tbh, as a mainly aoe3 player with low micro skills, this sounds interesting
