It use to be that if you got a bad product or had a issue they would either give you a refund or send you a replacement, but now they won’t do shit and just don’t care or respect this industry, even with ultimate tattoo supply I got 3 boxes of bad cartridges and it took me forever to get something done about it, Carson nailed that about not being able to get someone on the phone, try calling a ink company and asking about a set they’re selling, they can’t tell you anything about it

The only ones hopping the states regulates more is those who believe their Gate Keepers i’ve been tattooing since 1994 and since then i been hearing about the government wanting to regulate More this industry But the ones talking about it is always been the artist Not the government and still nothing has changed and it will never change , specifically when the person who inspects your shop #1 most times becomes your client and #2 they don’t have the funds nore want to do more than they already doing 😂 😂
Lets be honest most of these inspectors don’t even want to come to your shop and deal with you cause truth told most of us Tattoo artist have a bad temper At least thats how they think about us 😝

I don’t see the New Crowd going coil and making needles lol 😂

Not to mention.. going cashless will close a bunch of shops!!!

That Tattoo Show.. uk based podcast.. both active tattooists.. do very truthful reviews of machines and products.. test em for a month.. then review.. if the products a piece of crap theyll say so.. if it has pros and cons theyll say so.. Jake has also been very helpful over the years 👌.. i think honest reviewers are they way fwd.. not easy finding ones with no agenda though.. but these guys have been very helpful

I had an issue with a I guess big company out of California where their needles fell out of the cartridge. I called them up, and they said they would take note of it. But they never tried to make things right. So I don't do business with them. How far as an artist would I get if I did a shitty piece on a customer and when they come back I'd have that attitude? I'd lose business.

Once I’ve seen DAN KUBIN installing an awfully placed battery in his machines I knew this is bad…

Maybe I'm out of the loop and he made some battery operated machines, but as far as I know, Dan's machines have a motor on the side (maybe what you're referring to) and run from a power supply with an RCA cord or Clip Cord.

Bespoke!!! Finely tuned cartridge needles that give advantage that production lines can’t.
Slick as Teflon, medical grade. 1/2 the pain 30% faster tattooing, 90% less pigment blooming into peripheral tissue, 80% better pigment retention, brighter and in HD. The healed tattoos look brighter than day or next day photos. 1/3 faster heal. Backed by 3 papers published in nature. Much less of the pigment migrating to lymph nodes, demmit they’re even healthier.
More passes if needed with less deterioration of tissue, easier tattooing,
    Needles are made in NYC,
Medical grade ceramic Finish 💯 USA,
Teflon powder coat right from the warehouse in my town.
They cost 10x as much but do everything 2x as well.
    “Peacemakers” like the Colt

This video would have been way more helpful a day ago before I ordered the Modus, the last couple of minutes answered all humming and Harding about what machine to buy 😳

"Business" is an animal of its own, and that's "a fact!" So regardless of passion, if you wanna run a business, you gotta understand how to tame the beast (the beast being business). If you don't treat your business with respect, it'll rip-off the hand that feeds. From back-end housekeeping to front-of-house customer relations, you gotta understand how to tame the beast.
You have to understand that "IT" didn't ask for life, but rather, "YOU" gave it life. Fortunately or unfortunately, it comes with a mind of its own. That's just the nature of this beast. It's your baby to nature & nurture as "IT" requires. Do right by it or it WILL bite back. This is the reality of running a business 🙏

Mainstreaming has destroyed tattooing. Its killed the magic of it, the mistique..all of it. Too many people are involved now, too much of it has bee. Given away. Ive even seen people paying their apprentices. Its gotten ridiculous.

    • @SiksShow
      @SiksShow Год назад +4

Apprentices get paid in every other industry... why shouldn't they be paid in this one?
You're thinking of an un-paid internship, which is usually reserved for academic, non-profit and or charitable purposes.
Little Jimmy does an unpaid internship for school credits..
James does a JOB, while learning from the master for payment.
You want a shop bitch, bring in your child or nephew to clean up and rip paper towels.

@@SiksShowwould be good not to do that with your own children or relatives either haha everyone deserves a pay if they are doing ANY helpful job, but thanks for this comment. Such a weird fkn attitude being negative about somebody paying for apprenticeship, like we get it you had it hard, but how is it bad

    • @jimmiejay8174

It’s impossible to survive an unpaid apprenticeship these days with this economy. I understand it’s tradition to not pay the apprentice in the tattoo world, but if I was basically living rent free in my mom’s place during mine, I would’ve been royally fucked.
