I have a Bachelors Degree in HR. I’ve been working in HR for about 6 years. I took a 12 week class, tested, and failed. Now I’m going to try a different method and retest for the SHRM CP exam.
Thank you for what you said about aphr. Something in the back of my head told me I was aiming to low for the aphr. What exam do you recommend for someone with a bachelors and work experience in commercial benefits. I have no idea what cert to do.
Thank you for another video. I have my BA in Human Resources Management and I have been working in HR for about 7 years. I have finally decided it’s time to work on my HR Certification. I’m getting all my materials together to study. Thank you for recommending Sandra Reed study guide. Every time I watch one of your videos I learn something new. You are always providing us with great information. Thank you!
I would love to start as an HR assistant, which I am currently working on so that I can work my way up. I have my masters degree, but still no luck trying bag an HR job, so my next step is the certification to see if that helps.
Not necessary! Start with the RIGHT resume then use your network. Let the company that hires you pay for that cert! I worked 5 years into my career & didn’t get my cert until after I went back to being an HR Generalist after being an Asst HR Mgr. It can be done. I created this channel so you can take the easy route not the hard route
@HeyyyHR I just recently got an entry level job in government that's not related to HR. Please tell me if I don't pass my aphr exam how I can get my resume so can get an entry level government hr job
Hey Timeka! I passed my SPHR last week using David Siler's LMS. Do you think that that same preparation will be enough for the SHRM-SCP? I have it scheduled for 5/6. It's annoying that so many others were grandfathered into this..
Congrats! Yes, it’s so common that folks use the same study materials for both exams! Best to take them pretty close together while the info is fresh in your mind
SHRM sent this one to me and I don't see it on their website, but I'll be surprised if they don't restock it after this year's annual conference. It's possible I overlooked it so please check...lol. Here's the link to their shop: store.shrm.org/merchandise

Hey I've noticed a couple of Talent Acquisition Business Partner roles..is it the same as a HRBP?
Possibly but the TABP would likely be more focused on talent/recruiting while HRBP would be a variety of HR areas.
@@Jordan_GoBlue Thanks!
I finally created a video to give full details of TA Business Partner. Thanks for asking! Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/3SmX-1W1goo/видео.html
