I am so in love with this place. I live in Puerto Rico, just under an hour from San Juan and I stayed with my family in this place after discovering it on a trip the year before. I am a painter too and i loved how much the place showcases art. It was for writing however that this place inspired me to do. Ever since visiting I have been working on a novel and after this pandemic is over Im gonna go back to finish the final edit of the novel. I am happy you enjoyed our humble island!

We just got back from Puerto Rico from our second trip this year. We were amazed how kind the people were. It was what brought us back for the second time. The water is incredible. El Yunque is incredible. Enjoy!

I stayed there 10 years ago for my 50th birthday. It was a special treat for myself. I really enjoyed it and Jan, the owner made it special as she and her late husband drove me in their golf cart down to the beach and I watched her sculpt for a bit and then I sat outside to watch the waves while we listened to classical music. I eventually retired and ended up living on the island. Have been here for 4 years now.

Sandy, I cannot even express to you how your auction of your paintings would help the people in need in Puerto Rico. It only shows the true kind heart of an individual you are. The fruits of you work will only come back to you in blessings. "Love Thy Neighbor", that's what you are doing; no matter how far. Hardly many people in this world like that. I'm glad it's you. Thank you for sharing your heart with us. God bless you and the fruits of your labor. 🙂

Sandy! What a wonderful trip you took. In all the years I've been in and out of P.R., I dont remember ever going to San Juan. I haven't even gone to the "Moro" which is a popular tourist site. The hotel you stayed in is beautiful. I love art, the tranquility of just being in a place other than here, my home. I love all the paintings on the wall and how relaxed you seem to be by filming this. I would love nothing more than to go on a retreat to P.R. But I am not a painter. If it would have been a crafty retreat, like to sit around and make cards and stuff, that would have been a different story. Perhaps next time, you can do that. But it is a great idea for a future trip if any of my crafty friends want to do a crafty retreat. P.R. would absolutely be the place to go. Thank you so, so much Sandy por enseñanos mi bella isla de Puerto Rico. I hope you had a great time. Look forward to seeing more pictures if you have them of the places you visited and the people you met.
In case you don't know what I wrote above, I said thank you for showing my beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Hugz Jackie

Jeah that lot of stairs is a puerto rico thing wich can be quite a challenge when you have fibromyalgia as I discovered lol. So here's one for people who's legs dont function to well: Make sure to check if your hotell has a wheelchair acces or is having an elevator; a lot of the hotels at the beach side have quite some stairs, so make sure you can reach your terras floor and the pool. Your travel agent should be able to give you that info. If not: Find one who can. I like your inn better than my giant hotel, it has such a personal cozy touch to it. Without knowing staff service. Taxi services are quite cheap but make sure to tip the driver, we forgot once and he gave us the evil eye, grin
