This is not a debatable issue ! Moses' came from the tribe of Levi. His two sons were circumsized and Moses came from the Hebrew slaves. What is the point of this debate ????
Moses was a Levite, just like the Torah says, and Levi was the 3rd son of Jacob. So, that makes Moses an Israelite and a brother of the tribe of Judah. All 12 tribes made up Israel. The most important thing is that Moses obeyed the God of Israel, as Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob did. God bless ❤ And yes, you are correct, the Law of God existed before Israel was created because God created the world through His Law, the Light in Genesis chapter 1
There is no such thing as Judah-izm, the Hebrew Bible is about the Hebrew Israelites and the Hebrew faith, most of the Israelites were not in any way "Jews".. Judaism is Talmud, Zohar, Kabbalah, 98% of modern sects elevate these over OT.. “Jew”=”Judean”(G2453) Most “Hebrew Israelites” were never of the Kingdom of Judah or Judea. A “Judean” may be of the tribe of Judah Benjamin Levi & possibly Simeon.. “Jew”=”Judahite”(H3064) Most “Hebrew Israelites” were never in any way of the tribe of Judah, or “Judahites”, including those who inherited the fruitful blessings promised to Abraham, Ephraim & Manasseh….
A Levite is a Jew! The Levi people were Jewish , but the difference between the Levi tribe and the other tribes is that the Levi tribe was chosen by God to lead the Judaism among the tribes of Israel
But are the Jews who come from European really Jews or are just European? If not, why did the Palestinians have to move? Certainly, Israelis are clever and have created a wonderful country, much as Europeans would. Does this qualify them as the people of that land? Same question could be asked of Europeans living in the American continents. There are a lot of questions about land theft that is not convenient to talk about and we don't like it when the subject comes up.
I must disagree with the Jerusalem Post. Modern Judaism claims to be based on the written and oral witness of Moses after YHWH's revelation to him at Mt. Sinai. Orthodox Judaism holds that Moses wrote the Torah, which is the foundational document of Judaism. The Talmud is simply Rabbinic Judaism's claim of an "Oral Torah". There are branches of "Judaism" that do not recognize the Talmud or the rabbis who created it. After all, those rabbis were descendants of one sect of Judaism called Pharisees. As for the Israeli government, while it may have the power to say who is or is not eligible for Israeli citizenship, it does not have the authority to declare who is a "religious" or even "ethnic" Jew. Thus it may declare someone an Israeli, but not a "Jew".
Moses is and still remains the true man of god Israelite. Our father called Jacob Israel and the father called Abraham his FRIEND AND Jesus called all of us his friends. No complaints here as long as we remember and speak about this. scriptures , this is good love you Jesus and thankyou.

It doesn't matter if Moses was a Jew or not. The Hebrews, the Jews & the Israelites were all descendants of Abraham. Abraham gave birth to Isaac who gave birth to Jacob whose name was changed to Israel. Jacob was the grandson of Abraham thus Jacob gave birth to 12 sons - Levi & Judah being mentioned in connection with Moses as noted in the RUclips video clip. Levi & Judah were Great grandsons of Abraham the ones mentioned in connection with Moses. There you go it is not of importance if Moses was a Jew or not because he was related to the 12 sons of Jacob going back to Abraham - they were all sons & brothers in one way or another just as much as ALL! mankind is related if we go back to ADAM!
Technically the word Hebrew came from Heber or Eber who came before Abraham. and YES it does matter! Look at all the confusion we are having today! Christian Evangelicans are teaching the false doctrine that according to Gen 12:3, we must bless the Jews and Israels. American politicans are kissing Israel's butt no matter what.... and fighting their wars for them....you say it doesn't matter? @@joelmorrow7101 It doesn't matter from the point of view that all humans are from the first human pair ever created by God ie Adam & Eve. In reply to the question was Moses a Jew. The word Hebrew is first recorded in the bible at Genesis 14:13 'After that a man who had escaped came and told Abram the Hebrew...'. The Hebrew people under the control of Pharaoh were spoken of as "my brothers" by Moses thus Moses here is exclaiming his roots. In all truthfulness, Moses could rightly be called an Egyptian because Egypt is where he was born in the year 1593 B.C.E. Hebrew people are from the land of Hebron. When Joseph used the expression "the land of the Hebrews" at Genesis 40:15 he was speaking of Hebron being an ancient city in Judah about 19 miles SSW of Jerusalem and about 3,000 feet above sea level. Prior to this Hebron was previously known as Kiriath-arba. About 600 years later the Philistines spoke of the Israelites as "Hebrews." During the time of King Saul Hebrews and Israelites were equivalent terms. In later periods Greek & Roman writers regularly called the Israelites either Hebrew or Jew
Moses was a foundling. It was just after the collapse of the Atanism (Monothiest sun disc) religion collapsed in Egypt. The Hebrews were not slaves, but it was an obligation of commoners to serve the Pharaoh each year to build temples, pyramids etcetera. Even the pagan practice of killing the dun calf was continued by the Hebrews in Israel. When the Temple of Jerusalem is rebuilt the practice will resume.
@@PastorBrianLantz Certainly they were within 100 years of each other. The Quran says the problem with Pharaoh was not ethnicity but a difference in religious belief. The Pharaoh insisted he should be worshipped.
Moshe (Moses) observed the statuses, charges, etc that he was told Israel should "do in the Land" (Promise Land). This is what the Igbo call, "Ome' N'Ana' (Omenana). This Omenana has all the strings of Hebraic practices codified in the Torah and those not recorded. Judaism as a holistic religion came with the building of the 1st Temple.
Does NOT make sense. Why take an account of something which was written THOUSANDS of years after the events of the time of Moses? READ THE OLD TESTIMATE. OMG. Just because a Jew eats bacon does not make him or her any less Jewish.
The only thing that matters is how people misuse the term "Jew", because it has so many applications and definitions. People often conflate Semite, Hebrew, Israelite, zionist, Israeli, etc. and the don't necessarily mean the same thing.
Maybe because at the mere mention of the word BIBLE, THE ONLY THING THAT COMES TO YOUR IGNORANT MIND is JW! Many people never having known anything else think BIBLE is equal to JW when in actual fact practically everything the LCG teaches is 100% different and the opposite from JW. Do you at least know what the LCG teaches to begin with?
Michel Arcand, Armstrongites and Russelites have a lot in common, like their intellectual dishonesty trying to prove the unprovable, such as Moses wasn't Jewish or Jesus returned in 1914... Same garbage, different cults.
I think people can see by your great intellectual quotes the incredible high level of intellectualism and higher knowledge you've reached in your life. First, the man just PROVED that ONLY JUDAH produced Jews and NOT Levi. And then, you purposely confuse people by stating that Mr. Armstrong said Jesus returned in 1914, which HE NEVER DID and is the doctrine of JW or Adventists if i'm not mistaken. Do yourself and the world a favor by stating methodically what YOU believe in so we can all laugh together at your total biblical illiteracy, we're all waiting impatiently.... for common Nesradite doctrines or Nesradism!...
Funny, you cite the jerusalem post to support your claim since the same article declares..... This should come as no real surprise because, according to the exact same rabbinout, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and his 12 sons were not Jewish either. Strange that you left that part out! Maybe it's because it doesn't support your theory?
Abraham was a Muslim. (one who submits to God). This is attested to by many Jewish Rabbis. Islam and Judaism are both similar and share the same origin.
Abraham > Isaac, Isaac >Jacob, Jacob > Hebrew tribes, Hebrew tribes > Moses, Moses > Jewishness. The question " was Moses a Jew?" is absolutely irrelevant, and nonsensical in the extreme. Moses belongs to the Jews, Like George Washington belongs to Americans, "Was Hammurabi a lawyer?" Does the answer to that question mean that Hammurabi does not belong to the establishment of secular law all over the world as a patriarch of it's genesis? You also tried to use the post Torah Old Testament to undermine not only the ethnicity of what it means to be Jewish, but the Faith associated with it. But; Isaiah 56:3-8 Do not let the son of the Foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord speak, saying, " the Lord has utterly separated me from His people"; Nor let the eunuch say, "Here I am, a dry tree." For thus says the Lord: " to the eunuchs who keep my sabbaths, And choose what pleases me, And hold fast my Covenant, Even to them I will give in My house and within My walls a place and a name better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name That shall not be cut off. "Also the sons of the Foreigner Who joined themselves to the Lord, to serve Him, And to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants- Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And hold fast my Covenant- Even them I will bring to my Holy Mountain, And make them joyful In My House of Prayer. They're burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations." The Lord God who gathers the outcasts of Israel, says, " yet I will gather to him others besides those who are gathered to him." the post Torah history from the Bible that you used to undermine and indict Moses as having belong to the Jews would not have happened without Moses. Without 40 Years of Hebrew wandering and Moses, without Mount Horeb where Moses went up then came back down with the Commandments, the Jordan would not have been crossed, no judges sent to redeem Israel, no Saul David or Solomon to speak of, no Civil War or split into Judah/Israel, no prophets, no captivity, no return, no diaspora, or return from that, and no Jew to speak of today. This video is nonsensical gibberish and anyone who's half awake should see that. If you really knew about Moses, Then you would know what Gods word says. If you really knew about Moses, then you would understand the depth and the breadth of what Jew really means, and you would not have proceeded with this foolishness. P.S. though this is not relevant to the discussion specifically I thought it was also worth noting that without Moses you have no Western Civilization, no America, no Great Britain, no Europe, no abolition of slavery, no emancipation of women, no scientific advance. Without Moses ( but really what I'm saying is without the God he followed and listened to and obeyed) you live in tyrannical Darkness so deep and pervasive you cannot imagine.
Oh, Armstrongism. I debated it on forums before. It likes to link salvation (or at least benefits in this life) to race. A couple of the Armstrongists that I debated only really believed in it because they were racist. I won't go into a breakdown into why this is quite literally a heresy (last time I did that I ended up with the equivalent of a term paper) but essentially what I need to say is: do not put faith in yourself (either your body or spirit), place your faith in Christ. There is none other by whom we are saved (Acts 4:12). He sacrificed himself upon the cross for our sins so that we might be saved through his resurrection (Rom 6). We are saved by grace through faith (Eph 2:8), not by your own righteousness but by the righteousness of faith in Christ (Php 3:9). God loved you and sent Christ, who is in his very nature God, to save you to eternal life (John 1:1-14, 3:16-18).
Upon reading this, I think you're greatly confused as to what the LCG teaches and believes. I'm sorry if some who associated with mr. Armstrongs church came across as racist, as you claim, but the LCG has extreme emphasis on allowing Christ to live in you, and presenting yourself a living sacrifice before God, Christ being the ultimate example. It's evident you don't actually understand what they believe or teach.
@@depressedkid4689 Sir, that is not an accurate reading of scripture. Jesus sent the twelve to the lost sheep of Israel on a specific mission in Mt 10. He also said not to go among the Gentiles or the Samaritans (Mt 10:5). In Acts, Jesus instructed his followers to go to Samaria and to the ends of the earth (Ac 1:8) which included the Gentiles (Ac 10-11; Gal 2). I am familiar with the Armonstrongnian rhetoric so I know certain terms are redefined for that dogma's purposes to deny this, but if you see that Christ was sent for the whole world and all who believe (Jn 3:16) and the Gospel message is for all tribes, peoples, languages, and nations (Rev 14:6) I hope you come to the actual teaching of scripture and not one that was invented in the 1800s. I pray the Lord guide you to the truth of His love for all peoples and to abandon these racist teachings that have tried to coopt the biblical message.
You don't have to keep rabbinic law to keep judaism, there sects of judaism that fully reject it. Whike yes there was laws before moses. Moses establish many other laws as well
Abraham and Moses were not jews, and for sure nor they were christians. They were muslims. By definition, "muslim" means those who submit themselves to GOD alone.
You also conveniently edited your citation.... The ENTIRE portion from the article states-" But wait”, you say, “don't the rabbis teach that Moses was the first Jew?” (i.e. no one is arguing that the rabbis teach that Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were not Jews). The very next paragraph states- Well, the rabbis may “teach” that Moses was the first Jew, but: Do they really believe it? Sadly, the incontrovertible truth is: “no”. You are deliberately twisting the article's statements to fit your own theology.
Moses lived at a time of the Hebrews not Jews. It can be doubted if the Israelites are ethnically all descendants of Abraham. The Qur'an says (which often confirms the Samaritan Old Testament) that they were a community of believers and not an ethnic group. For the descendants of Jacob to remain untainted by Egyptian blood lines is wholly ridiculous.
A formidable investigation . But why is the question necessary? It's like asking, were Moses's eyes brown or black? Is it relevant? Will the possible answers change anything? Besides, Bible references should not be made using translated text, they must be made using the most original text possible.
Such an ignorant retort. It's necessary for the very reason that God thinks it was important enough to delineate in his word. And it's nothing like whether Moses' eyes were blue or brown, God gave a specific bloodline a Covenant - first the Old Covenant and then the New (Jer 31:31, Heb 8:8), and made a specific tribe a line of priests (Levi, Moses' tribe). Jews didn't even exist while Moses was alive, so yeah, it's obviously important to point out the fact that he couldn't have been a Jew if he wanted to. There was no such thing as Jews until AT LEAST 850 years after Moses brought the children of Israel out of Egypt, and based on my research I'd say 1500 years...but at least 850 years when the unified Kingdom of Israel split into the northern House of Israel and the southern Kingdom of Judah, also known as Judaeans. Based on your own principle of not using translated text there are NO JEWS in the bible, which suits me just fine since God's chosen people are the 12 tribes of Israel not Jews.
Moses never proclaimed Judaism or being a Jew. Neither did Jesus profess being a Jew or proclaim Judaism or Christianity for that matter. If you can find any reference from original texts to the contrary, I'd be glad to look at it
@E B ok man, you done? I understand what you saying, no facts just you don't like the so called black man without cause, and it's ok. Your not the only one.
Being Jewish ethnically has nothing to do with the religion. Many ethnic Jews are followers of Judaism, true. Likewise many are followers of Buddhism, atheists, agnostics, and even Messianic religions such as Christianity, Islam, and Baha'i. A practicing Jew follows the rules and laws of many ancient societies including the descendants of Jacob (Israel). They give to the poor. The consider the ancient rules of hospitality inviolate. As far as I can tell, prior to the around the time of Jesus, neither Judaism nor Jewish culture had any real concept of an immortal soul and what happens after death. The closest I can find is a reference in the book of Job. Judaism is a religion of the temporal world, not the world after death. It is a religion of service and action not faith. One is a good follower of Judaism by giving to the poor and helping others, not by praying to a god or observing religious functions. There is a saying among Jews that basically states Christians are all mouth and no action while Jews (practicing) are all action and no mouth. If you look at the teachings of Jesus as presented in the four gospels, you will see they line up almost perfectly with traditional and modern ideals of both laws of hospitality and "charity" and both ancient and modern Judaism. (I put charity in quotes because that is the closest word we have in English, the Hebrew word is Tzedakah and means much more than our word charity but also implies a legal requirement/responsibility for every member of society to help others in the society especially the poor, the orphans, the widows, the disabled, the indentured, and the foreigner. This responsibility even applied to the poor, orphan, ... where they were to help as much as they could, though it was recognized it would be less than the help of the rich). Judaism and Jews are sometimes associated with a world wide conspiracy to take over the world. In a very weird way that is true in that they want all people to recognize and respect all other people. They want everyone to help everyone. It is not surprising the Karl Marx was ethnically Jewish although they were Christians. The idea of abusing others, exploiting others, and social responsibility are tenets taught both in most ethnic Jewish communities and in Judaism. Does this mean that Jewish peoples want to take over the world, decidedly not. Does it mean they want to help lead the world to a better place and hopefully a Utopia, yes. Jewish is a culture. The Jewish are much like US Marines or Texans. They are taught about their past. The celebrate events that took place long ago to show their unique history and glory. This creates an identity that is carried forward. Just like once a Marine always a Marine. Once a Texan always a Texan. The festivals and holidays such as Sukkat, Passover, or Hanukkuh are to maintain their uniqueness, their memory of their past. They are not religious within themselves anymore than Christmas is religious. Millions of people worldwide celebrate Christmas and attach no significance besides a day for family and giving/GETTING presents. The Jewish festivals and holidays only have the religious significance each individual family attach to them, but the historical significance is important to [almost] all.

This why I don't bother reading this gotcha kind of stuff. We use the words Jew and Judaism today, synonymously with 'of Israel' since the descendants of Judah came closest to remaining faithful to God since the carrying off of Israel to Babylon, and the scattering after 71 AD. But those words were pretty meaningless way back in Moses' time. When all the tribes were present.
Just because people conflate the terms Jews, Judah, Hebrew and Israel doesn't mean it is accurate. Just because Jews named their country Israel doesn't mean they represent the other 10 tribes of Israel. Just because religious jews ignore the fact that there are 10 lost tribes doesn't make them the only 'chosen' people. I think it is very relevant to ask when the jews came into existence. All respect to them but they're not the ONLY tribe from Abraham.
Did you watch the video? The Jews were just one of 13 tribes of Israel (tribe of Judah). There is a difference between a Hebrew/Israelite and a Jew. Moses came from the tribe of Levi.
YAH gave the children of Israel his instructions, precepts and statutes via his servant Moshe. The "law" you speak of actually is of YAH, not Mosha who btw heard and obeyed that which was passed down to him via YAH. If there was not Judah, nor "Jew-ish" nation nor Jew-ish religion then, how then could he have been a Jew-ish or from Judah?? He was a Levite, not from Judah
This is just stupid, Moses was born of a Hebrew slave, went to Pharoah and asked for the people to be set free. The idiocy that Moses was a Jew, he was Hebrew, the definition is simple, just look at the definition. Jew [jo͞o] NOUN a member of the people and cultural community whose traditional religion is Judaism and who trace their origins through the ancient Hebrew people of Israel to Abraham. A Jew does not have to be Hebrew, but the vast majority, over 95% of Jews are Hebrew. The Hebrews were called this name after the fall of Jerusalem, they were no longer called Judeans rather Jews. This is just a idiotic racist argument, have heard it for years, it is set up to try to say the Jews today are not of the Hebrews of old.
Slavery has been ever present throughout history as a source of cheap labour creating higher profits. Russi only abolished slavery in 1850. it was reintroduced in the Communist era. Today debt is used to enslave people.
There is a spiritual intent in The Ten Commandments that goes much further than what was written in stone. The 10 Commandments in summary speak about a love of the Almighty God, (the first four), and love of neighbor, (the remaining six). "And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31)

The Qur'an only pretends. The Qur'an also pretends that Alexander the Great was a messenger of Allah (read Qur'an 18:83-100), but ancient writings about Alexander the Great suggest that he worshipped a pagan idol called Ammon-Ra and that he also wanted people to worship himself as a god--that's one of Islam's messengers too according to the Qur'an, so the Qur'an is only lying about how Alexander the Great was a Muslim, just like it's lying about how anyone else before Muhammad was a Muslim. The Qur'an lies about Moses, Alexander the Great, etc. being Muslims because it wants as many people as possible to think that the people they respect were Muslims. *Keep reading.* The Qur'an calls Alexander the Great Dhu-l-Qarnayn, which commonly means "possessor of the two horns." The pagan idol Ammon-Ra, which Alexander the Great supposedly worshipped, was also called two-horned, and Alexander the Great was strongly linked to two horns and is depicted in ancient iconography with two horns (see the link below). Dhu-l-Qarnayn is the Qur'anic name for Alexander the Great because the Qur'anic story is apparently very similar to the Syriac version of a fable about Alexander the Great that was very popular in and/or around the land where the Qur'an originated roughly 1400 years ago. Below are some parallels between the Syriac fable and the Qur'anic version of the fable: 1. Alexander the Great travels to a fetid sea where the sun sets, which parallels what Dhu-l-Qarnayn does in Quran 18:85. This story was also known in pre-Islamic poetry, which means that Arabs already knew about the Dhu-l-Qarnayn/Alexander fable before they knew about the Qur'an. 2. Alexander the Great punishes people who live near the fetid sea, which parallels what Dhu-l-Qarnayn does in Qur'an 18:87. 3. Alexander the Great travels to the place by the sea where the sun rises and there are people who flee into the sea to cover themselves from the sun's heat. In Quran 18:89-90, Dhu-l-Qarnayn travels to the place where the sun rises and sees people who weren't protected against the sun's heat. 4. Alexander the Great travels to a valley between two mountains and meets people there, which parallels what Dhu-l-Qarnayn does in Quran 18:92-93. 5. The people at the valley between the two mountains tell Alexander the Great that they are harassed by barbarians whose ancestral kings are claimed to be Gog and Magog, which parallels what the people tell Dhu-l-Qarnayn in Quran 18:94. (Gog and Magog are mentioned first and originally in the Bible. The Syriac fable uses those names from the Bible, and the Qur'an copies not just the names but also details from the Syriac fable.) 6. Alexander the Great builds a wall between the two mountains to protect the people against the barbarian raiders, which parallels what Dhu-l-Qarnayn does in Quran 18:95. 7. Alexander the Great built the wall with iron and brass, which parallels what Dhu-l-Qarnayn builds the wall with in Quran 18:96. The Qur'an is lying when it pretends that Moses, Alexander the Great, or anyone else is a Muslim. It's just a futile attempt by the human author(s) of the Qur'an to hijack a historical period in which Islam did not yet exist. Moses existed before Islam. Moses wasn't a Muslim. Alexander the Great existed before Islam. Alexander the Great wasn't a Muslim. Jesus roamed the earth before Islam existed. Jesus is God; He was not a Muslim. www.google.com/search?q=alexander+the+great+horn&sxsrf=ALeKk012JpuTP_TJRWSZJBFROy6oLyNT-Q:1596525553458&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj07fOTgYHrAhWSyqQKHZVhBfYQ_AUoAXoECAsQAw&biw=1920&bih=969

@@pingpong1465 words like "stupid" and "fake studies" are labels for improperly dismissing things you don't like. Those labels don't make the problem go away that Dhu-l-Qarnayn's story in the Qur'an supposedly contains those massive similarities with a popular Syriac fable about Alexander the Great, or that "Dhu-l-Qarnayn" refers to Alexander's horns (it's an epithet). The Qur'an chapter that talks about Dhu-l-Qarnayn also talks about the Seven Sleepers, which was another popular fable that was copied from a non-Qur'anic and pre-Qur'anic source. Read the quotations below: "It is well known that the Qur'an contains many stories that were first told in Jewish and Christian communities around the Middle East. This includes apocryphal and legendary tales that originated in Syria between the 2nd and early 7th century CE. One of the most widespread of these stories was the legend of the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus.... Since the tale is not found in the Bible, it was also rejected by the majority of the world's Christian churches without any theological consequence." "The story ... is found in the 18th surah of the Qur'an, al-Kahf (the Cave), for which the surah is named. It relates the tale of a young group of believers, who fall into a supernatural sleep in a cave, only to awaken hundreds of years later. This story mimics a story found in the Syriac homily by a Christian bishop named Jacob of Serugh (521 CE). His story tells of seven young Christians in Ephesus (an ancient Greek city now situated in modern-day Turkey), who hide from an evil emperor in a cave, fall into a supernatural sleep for hundreds of years, and awaken to find that their home town has been converted to Christianity." "While it is impossible to know the exact details of how ... Muhammad came to know the story of the Seven Sleepers, we do know that he had ample opportunities during his 62 year life. Muhammad traveled to Syria while he was a caravan trader and he may have heard the story there. Visitors to Mecca would have included Syrian Christians, who would have known this popular story as well. Muhammad's followers also could have related this story after contact with Christian communities near the Mediterranean and in Arabia. In short, there were numerous ways in which this story could have be told to the author of the Qur'an during his lifetime." Source: wikiislam.net/wiki/Seven_Sleepers_of_Ephesus_in_the_Quran
@@pingpong1465 The Bible teaches that Jesus is God, and I've encountered many iterations of Muslim arguments against His divinity that are all unconvincing and driven by a desire to realize predetermined objectives instead of being the results of honest inquiry. But don't change the subject (changing the subject is a fallacy called a "red herring"). Changing the subject won't resolve the problem that the Qur'an plagiarized non-Qur'anic/pre-Qur'anic fables. Christ was descended from the tribe of Judah, through the Kingly line of David, so yes, He was a Jew. But, as the video explains, all Israelites are not Jews--only those descended from that ONE TRIBE called Judah (one of the 13). If this were not important to God, He would not have made the distinction. The scriptures are clear that the different tribes are different peoples and nations, with different characteristics and blessings from God.
TheSwissHillbilly Nope. If Joseph isn't his father then he isn't from judah. Also, incorrect to say that ONLY descendants from the tribe of judah are called jews....Esther 2:5 Btw, there are only 12 tribes...not 13.
Both Joseph and Mary were descended from Judah. Members of the three tribes comprising the Kingdom of Judah (as opposed to the 10 tribes comprising the Kingdom of Israel) were sometimes called Jews. But, tribally, a Benjamite was not a Jew, as evidenced by the scripture in Esther. Really, this is all right there in scripture. It's not coded or difficult to understand.
TheSwissHillbilly Yet, Mordechai calls himself.....a jew. Joseph being from judah is moot if he isn't jesus father. Mary being from judah is even less relevant because tribal affiliation goes through ones father, not the mother. And apparently you don't seem to understand.

It was written by a number of rabbis & they added their own stuff & also took away important things. The Father would NOT have been happy w/ Moses if he studied the Talmud!

God bless ❤
And yes, you are correct, the Law of God existed before Israel was created because God created the world through His Law, the Light in Genesis chapter 1
You nailed it. Great presentation! All Jews are Israelites but not all Israelites are Jews!

I pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

@@joelmorrow7101 It doesn't matter from the point of view that all humans are from the first human pair ever created by God ie Adam & Eve. In reply to the question was Moses a Jew.

You also tried to use the post Torah Old Testament to undermine not only the ethnicity of what it means to be Jewish, but the Faith associated with it. But;
Isaiah 56:3-8
Do not let the son of the Foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord
speak, saying,
" the Lord has utterly separated me from
His people";
Nor let the eunuch say,
"Here I am, a dry tree."
For thus says the Lord:
" to the eunuchs who keep my sabbaths,
And choose what pleases me,
And hold fast my Covenant,
Even to them I will give in My house
and within My walls a place and a name
better than that of sons and daughters;
I will give them an everlasting name
That shall not be cut off.
"Also the sons of the Foreigner
Who joined themselves to the Lord, to serve Him,
And to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants-
Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And hold fast my Covenant-
Even them I will bring to my Holy Mountain,
And make them joyful In My House of Prayer.
They're burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar;
For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations."
The Lord God who gathers the outcasts of Israel, says,
" yet I will gather to him others besides those who are gathered to him."
the post Torah history from the Bible that you used to undermine and indict Moses as having belong to the Jews would not have happened without Moses.

You have to correct then update your information ....

You also conveniently edited your citation....
The ENTIRE portion from the article states-" But wait”, you say, “don't the rabbis teach that Moses was the first Jew?” (i.e. no one is arguing that the rabbis teach that Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were not Jews).
The very next paragraph states-
Well, the rabbis may “teach” that Moses was the first Jew, but: Do they really believe it?

Incredibly deceptive you mean. Read my comments.

Was Jezus jewish ?
Moses never said 'I am proclaiming Judaism as religion' - did he? He never said God proclaimed 'Judaism', did he?

YAH gave the children of Israel his instructions, precepts and statutes via his servant Moshe. The "law" you speak of actually is of YAH, not Mosha who btw heard and obeyed that which was passed down to him via YAH. a member of the people and cultural community whose traditional religion is Judaism and who trace their origins through the ancient Hebrew people of Israel to Abraham.
A convert to the Jewish faith is not a Jew they are called proseyt. I was once such person when I was married to a Jewish woman.
Why didn't the 10 commandments not include rape and slavery as a sin? Food for thought!
Hahaa and what about the other random 30 something commandments that are so specific like not mixing cloths lol still can't say not to rape people. Your book is a fake, made up, pile of shit. But you believe in it because you are too stupid to look at the world around you.

Moses was not Jews But Moses was a prophet of Allah
*Keep reading.*
The Qur'an calls Alexander the Great Dhu-l-Qarnayn, which commonly means "possessor of the two horns." The pagan idol Ammon-Ra, which Alexander the Great supposedly worshipped, was also called two-horned, and Alexander the Great was strongly linked to two horns and is depicted in ancient iconography with two horns (see the link below). Dhu-l-Qarnayn is the Qur'anic name for Alexander the Great because the Qur'anic story is apparently very similar to the Syriac version of a fable about Alexander the Great that was very popular in and/or around the land where the Qur'an originated roughly 1400 years ago. Below are some parallels between the Syriac fable and the Qur'anic version of the fable:
The Syriac fable uses those names from the Bible, and the Qur'an copies not just the names but also details from the Syriac fable.)

@@ourbulwarkisjesuschrist9435 shut up you stupid there are only 25 prophets in the Quran and no such Alexander is a prophet take your fake studies to somewhere else
Read the quotations below:
"It is well known that the Qur'an contains many stories that were first told in Jewish and Christian communities around the Middle East. This includes apocryphal and legendary tales that originated in Syria between the 2nd and early 7th century CE. One of the most widespread of these stories was the legend of the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus.... Since the tale is not found in the Bible, it was also rejected by the majority of the world's Christian churches without any theological consequence."
"The story ... is found in the 18th surah of the Qur'an, al-Kahf (the Cave), for which the surah is named. It relates the tale of a young group of believers, who fall into a supernatural sleep in a cave, only to awaken hundreds of years later. This story mimics a story found in the Syriac homily by a Christian bishop named Jacob of Serugh (521 CE). His story tells of seven young Christians in Ephesus (an ancient Greek city now situated in modern-day Turkey), who hide from an evil emperor in a cave, fall into a supernatural sleep for hundreds of years, and awaken to find that their home town has been converted to Christianity."
"While it is impossible to know the exact details of how ... In short, there were numerous ways in which this story could have be told to the author of the Qur'an during his lifetime."

Also, incorrect to say that ONLY descendants from the tribe of judah are called jews....Esther 2:5
Btw, there are only 12 tribes...not 13.
