    Oh that's a bloody cliff hanger. Not fair! I was only talking about making celestial soap with one of my subscribers about 2-3 weeks ago and she really inspired me to give it more thought. I've no doubt whatever you do will probably push me into actually making one 😉

    PERFECT! I usually catch the the lip of the end cap on the table and knock it off if it doesn’t come off easily. I almost thought I missed the fragrance you used and reminded myself it’s a mid week sneak peek. Can’t wait to see this in the soap and cut. Soooo fun. ♥️

    Love the moon soaps. I had a friend ( plumber) suggest plumbers piping (pvc) a couple years ago when I mentioned that the soap molds are kind of expensive and took me to show me what to get. I have been very happy with it. Tierra makes some nice moons. I like how yours has turned out. Very nice 😀

    You just gave me the inspo to finally go get some pvc pipe. I have silicone moulds but they are too small and want a big fat moon in my soap. There’s another soaping channel I watch called “Ophelia’s Soapery” and I watcher how to do a half moon too where the lady put a smaller pvc inside a larger pvc but pushed it to one side creating a crescent 🌙 and poured only in the crescent part. Really want to try this step too.
    Question: where do you get your freezer paper? I can’t remember if I’ve asked you before or not but I’m a fellow Aussie and it costs a million dollars on line.
    I just use regular baking paper but it can leave a film on the soap, it’s just not shiny enough.
    Loved your tutorial thank you 🙏🏼

    • @SoyandShea
      @SoyandShea  5 лет назад +1

      So pleased I can inspire ❤
      I like watching Ophelia too but haven't seen that video. I did also get a 30mm pipe with the plan of doing a crescent.
      I get my paper from Statpack and it's a silicone baking/freezer paper. Try and find a food packaging place that caters to food makers and they'll have something similar

    • @joro7392
      @joro7392 5 лет назад

      Soy and Shea thanks heaps for the info I found a place local and will be definitely getting some for my slab moulds and PVC moon moulds.
      I found the Ophelia’s soapery link of the new moon / half moon for you too.
      Thanks again:))

    Can I ask if the glow in the dark powder shows in the final soap? I mean ....is half spoon enough to make a shiny moon?? I’m going to try it....any advise?? Thanks so much!

    • @SoyandShea
      @SoyandShea  5 лет назад

      Unfortunately this one didn't glow 😔 the glow in the dark powder can be so hit and miss and you do need a fair bit to stand any chance of it glowing

  • @A.l.l16

    Can I use a 1 1/2 inches pvc pipe, how long is your pipe used for your molds howmany bars you got from a batch. Have you tried it without a lining. Or does knocking it gets the soap out

    • @SoyandShea
      @SoyandShea  2 месяца назад

      You can use any size pipe you like. My pipe is as long as my mould but you can make them any length. You will need to line or the soap will stick to the pipe.

  • @A.l.l16
    @A.l.l16 2 месяца назад

    Can you give us the measurements for the paper in the pipe

    • @SoyandShea
      @SoyandShea  2 месяца назад

      You will have to measure your own tube as mine will be different to yours. From your other comment, you won't like the maths behind getting the exact measurement or circumference of the tube. Just make sure the paper is as wide as the length of your tube and tear a piece off. Roll up and insert into tube.
