I can see why gear snobs who like to dump $400 or $500 on cute little hand painted stop boxes like to hate on this. For the rest of us.... Sweet pedal lots of fun for not alot of green. I dig it!
I just got this pedal. Good pedal and will have a permanent spot on my board. Bought it for the reverb alone, and really like the other options. The drive sound is very good too.
I have this pedal. Got it because of the effects AND the drive/fuzz.The drive and fuzz are over the top and never get used. The other effects are very usable with the reverbs being the best with the tremelo being great as well. With that being said, IF YOU HAVE THIS PEDAL YOU NEED TO MOD IT TO GET THE CHORUS AND FLANGER! It's very easy. The effects are digital and stored on the large chip inside. Google it. It was worth it to me. I really like the flange best. The chorus is that warbly, Kurt Cobain chorus. Squeeze the most out of this pedal.
Hmmm, someone below said that the fuzz on this is over the top...but it sounds great to me. I mean... This seems to be a high quality pedal and does a lot. Great value for sure.
If you compare this to other multieffects like the Boss stuff, this sounds brilliant. Of course it won't sound as good as all the effects in seperate pedals, but it also doesn't cost a lot of money.
That intro was insanely good, man! The rhythm guitar and bass sounded absolutely huge! It painted that picture in my head that Boston's guitars do. All I can see is gigantic twin electric guitars towering and roaring over a city skyline in true Godzilla fashion! :)
I have this pedal and it's not bad, I'm not usin the drive option cause I have Big Muff and Boss overdrive, but reverbs, tremolo and pitch shift is nice and sounds cool to me with my lespaul and Marshall. Just cause you haven't tryed this, stop offencing this cool machine... Peace
why is the volume pedal on full the whole time? like surely it should only need to be on half way if it is to remain the same volume level as clean tone???
If you have the holy stain on clean mode you will have to set the volume knob on max - then you're at the original amp level. But... if you then turn the dirt knob to fuzz or drive it suddenly gets insanely loud. You ALWAYS should turn the volume knob to 9 or 10 O'clock BEFORE dialing fuzz or drive.
Stupid long intro + the guy does not know how to use this device. The settings are nearly all extreme. The true potential of this pedal lies in the room reverb (mix on 10 O'clock, amount between 11 and 13) and the "warm" setting in both fuzz and drive mode. Both the drive and fuzz are extreme - but very very good to control via the volume knob of the guitar. This should have been shown. You van go from sweet crunch to omg just by turnin down and up the vol. knob + the tone knob on your guitar. When you choose a position between warm and dark or dark and bright - the color circuit will be off thus resulting in a civilized treble boost. It is a good pedal and not only for playing with it like a toy.

The overdrive and distortion are analog and it is true bypass.

You can tell it's analog distortion because it doesn't have any Line 6 digital type fuzz :)
