For me, one of the best examples ever of taking a short sample of something and making something extraordinary out of it. Normally I would prefer a house track with more lyrics and something original, but this track has always been special for me and transports me away to those holidays in my youth. It's magical, and a lesson in great production for sure.
although both tunes were released around the same time they're 2 totally different samples ....stardust sampled Chaka Kahn eclipse sampled , sister sledge ....this track is way more uplifting sounds totally different
Yet they are also very similar 😊 Both samples have a dotted eighth note two chord figure, that was common in 70s funk and r&b. "Pam Pam pawmmmm". They are both filtered disco house, both use a phaser on the sample... and so on. Mix out of this into Stardust, and watch the floor go CRAZY 😂
