  • Kodak produced some pocket sized cameras in the early 1900's. It's really great to be able to appreciate these old cameras to really see how far the cameras have come. These cameras were all based on the Vest Pocket Kodak Model B form factor. This was also known as the VPK. Some neat folding Kodaks with bellows that used 127 film. They fit in the palm of your hand or in your vest pocket!

I just found the Kodak model B in a box that belonged to my late Dad.
He was born in 1915, so he must have had this camera as a young man.
The video showed me how this thing works.
I certainly didn't want to force anything.
It's remarkable how mechanically complex the little thing is.
Lots of engineering went into It's manufacture.
My camera is in better shape than the one in the video, but sadly, as I research value on the internet, it isn't worth nearly as much as I had hoped.
There must have been a lot of these things made.
    And that makes sense.
There weren't even transistor radios back then.
Owning one was probably like owning an I Phone back then.

They made quite a few of these little cameras. There are some that are very rare and a worth a lot of money. They are still very nice for your collection or to display.

@@LittleKodaks I feel like someone who appreciates this thing should have it.....but I won't give it away.
It did belong to my Dad....but it's back in a tote in storage.
I doubt I would display it.
I don't have a collection of these things.
I don't have a proper means to display it.

Just discovered a Vest Pocket Kodak Model B in my parents' old stuff. Probably belonged to my grandmother. Its in very good condition. Too bad the film is no longer available. Thank you for explaining all the features.

You should be able to shoot it with a Instax mini film. I might make a video about it.

Im looking into films etc. It is stuck at the bottom and my dad couldnt figure it out but hopefully we will figure it out. Thanks for the video, am hoping to get some photos from it.

I would say for the early 1900's there are some in better shape, but for a pretty penny. I'm loving all my old Kodaks! Thanks for watching.

You say they're worth a lot.....my research tells me different.
      Some less than $100.
      Am I not understanding something?
