    Thanks so much for sharing! Diaries and planners are such a personal thing, so I have tons of respect for people that manage to share. You've definitely helped me get some ideas on how to plan my own jibun techo :)

    I really like the idea of the 3 "good things"! Probably gonna try it out

      It's definitely encouraging to see progress, instead of just tasks for each day. Let me know how you like it!

    I love how compact this is and that you could use it in at work as well as at home without it seeming too unprofessional.

      Yes, it's been really nice to finally have one planner to rule them all between work and home. I tried it with the Hobonichi but I couldn't stop myself from over decorating it. 😂 Somehow the Jibun enforces a strict boundary on me.

    Great planning strategies! Now, I'm in a dilemma which one will I use. Hobonichi weeks or jibun techo. Hahahaha!!! So, many tips on how to plan with them.

    I really needed this video! I have been playing with my Jibun Techo B6 Slim and was ready to go back to my A6 Hobonichi. I love the idea of using the idea book for your weekly notes. I was feeling like I needed more room to write. This will help me feel more organized. Thank you for sharing!

    Thanks for the video- I like the idea of the 3 wins at the bottom- I find there's a lot of blank space near the end of the day on my weeklies (in the Hobonichi Cousin) so I'm going to try this idea!

    Thanks for this helpful video! I also made the transition from the Hobonichi to Jibun Techo this year and share similar thoughts about the JT as you do, especially regarding decorating layouts. I was wondering how you utilize the side bar in the weekly spread since you list your weekly goals? I use the IDEA notebook for brain dumps/running to-do lists too and really enjoy this setup.

      @girlwithtulips5948  6 лет назад

      I mainly do two things on the side bar: I list my top five at the very top, and I list my meal plan towards the bottom. Other than that I mostly keep it clear so I can just stay focused on my top priorities for the week. I think the Idea book pairing really makes the whole system work well. Do you think you'll stick with the Jibun for a while?

    Really enjoyed this video. Love how you’re using the Idea book. Question... how is the Goals section different from the Brain Dump page? Did you say you list what you need to get done on the Brain Dump page? How does that differ from Goals? Thanks 🙂

    • @girlwithtulips5948
      @girlwithtulips5948  6 лет назад

      Good question! The goals section is what I *must* get done before all else. Things like: finish report, book meeting with Stan, review insurance claim. These are usually time sensitive. Brain dump is whatever comes to my head during the week, things that could be important but also very minor. This could be: clean out closet, call Jen, try new restaurant, etc. Usually not time sensitive and not necessarily a task. I also put notes in there that may have been triggered from my weekly review. If it's an important item it could move into a goal. I hope that makes sense!

    This may be a silly question, but does the Jibun's pencil board fit the Cousin? I like the look of it asthetically better than any of the past or present Hobonichis.

    • @girlwithtulips5948
      @girlwithtulips5948  6 лет назад +1

      I think that's a perfectly reasonable question! 😁 This pencil board is sized for an A5 slim, so it wouldn't be a full fit lenthwise, but it would fit in height. I agree it's a good looking board.

    Does the Jibun have covers like the Hobonichi’s? I like the covers and the back cover has a pocket. (All but the weeks,) can you tell me some places that would have something similar to the Hobonichis type covers? Why did you get the Biz? If you stated why, I might have missed it. Where did you order? The jet site in USA did not have and I thought there might be a Japanese site like Hobonichi. I can’t find one. You use the A5 regular AkA slim to some people, I think. I enjoyed you video. Thank you lil

      All the Jibun covers I've seen have been very practical and functional. Nowhere near as whimsical or beautiful as Hobonichi's. However I think they are coming out with some updated colors, and there are lots of places on etsy and even amazon where you can buy covers to fit A5 slim. Hopefully someone else can chime in to what they've used. Kokuyo, afaik, doesn't sell directly to the pubic like Hobonichi - they use distributors and in the US last year Jibun was available through Amazon and Jetpens.com. I bet they'll be offering their 2019 line very soon. This video will give you a good idea of why I went with the Jibun Biz, check it out here! ruclips.net/video/VVhRzYetwsA/видео.html
