- Silesia has become a new European nation in this Football Manager 2024 series/save. Will they make the EUROs in their first ever attempt at qualification?
Silesia is a region in SW Poland, NE Czechia, and SE Germany which has produced world class footballing talent. What if Silesia became its own nation with its own football pyramid and national team? In this series, we attempt to answer that question.

This is great! I searched for Silesia football manager content not expecting to find any because I have just made my own Silesian FM file with the editor.
I made Gorlitz have a Silesian only transfer policy to see if I could compete in the German leagues only signing Silesian players.
I'm not Silesian so I'm not sure on where to put the borders of Silesia but it's surprising how many good players have a Silesian background...apparently even Leon Goretska.
Cool, glad you liked it. I can tell you from the feedback that I've received that the border within the Slaskie region is pretty firm between Silesia and Lesser Poland. There's a good map on the Lesser Poland wiki. Splitting that region by city was the deepest I had to go into the FM editor.
Not sure if you've covered this in one of your episodes, but what national youth rating have u given Silesia?
P.S. watched most episodes today and this is such a good series! Top quality FM content, keep it up!
I won't reveal the exact number ;) But to make it realistic, it's slightly lower than both Poland and Czechia.

How do you create your own league/nation?
You use the FM Pre Game Editor to build a custom database. There are historic nations which can be "modified" into fully playable nations if you can overcome some nitty gritty little annoyances of working with the pre game editor.
In my case I used Czechoslovakia, made it an active nation in UEFA, then moved all the 'would be Silesian' people and clubs into my nation. People are constantly modding and customizing in the Editor's Hideaway - Sports Interactive Forum, which is where I was able to learn how to overcome some of the issues that popped up while creating this database.
