  • We are a family of 7 that travels full time in a Grand Design Momentum 328M. We renovated our toy hauler garage to make a bunkhouse for five kids. Come on in and enjoy the tour of where the majority of our debt-free life on the road is spent - homeschooling, remote working and all the other typical chores that it takes to raise a family.
Want to know why we chose this rig?
    Brand reliability:
We heard from many full-timers that Grand Design is the way to go. Although ALL RVs have components that go wrong, Grand Design goes wrong less often.
    Size:
We know - there are bigger rigs out there that might have been a more comfy fit for the 7 of us. But we didn't want anything that might be prohibitively large. The bigger you are, the fewer sites that can fit you. We wanted to stay well under big-rig status. 35 feet feels pretty golden to us.
    Layout:
-Having previously ripped an entire bedroom out to redesign it into a bunkroom, we were attracted to the blank canvas of a toy hauler.
-It was non-negotiable for us to have a living space with no island - we wanted the flex space to workout, play board games on the floor, whatever. Precious few toy haulers have a non-island kitchen.
    Tank sizes:
-We wanted the flexibility to be able to boondock and with a crowd of our size that requires considerable tanks on our rig. We can carry almost 160 gallons of fresh water, as well as just over 100 gal grey / 50 gal black. With some advance planning, we can successfully boondock for a week with those tanks.
We love GWNRVR the Second and after 18 months in this rig, making the adjustments we needed, happy to report that it turned out to be the right choice for us.

Way too easy to make fulltime travel look like it’s all Instagram-worthy days. Definitely not. Happy to do my part to keep it real. 😉

You have a really awesome setup! We are planning on moving from Israel to NY and starting full time rv travel for at least for a year with our 6 homeschooled kids. I'll have to re-watch this video when we are ready to organize our rv.

Thanks for coming over to “visit”. Come for a real cup of tea sometime. I’ll make sure to boot the kids off the couch so there’s room for you. 😉
