The graphics are the same..The only thing that changes is resolution
It's actually a big difference I wish I could find the video, but there was someone comparing it running on ppsspp running at 1080p vs this version. There was actually alot of differences between textures, models, etc. The difference is just harder to see because you don't see the assets as well at the psp's resolution.
In my psp looks much better than look in your video
psp screen resolution is small to be exact its around 360p~ and it looks good because of the size of the screen (if you make the screen larger the poor quality will show more)
Love this game...I played GOW when first game released...good old days ehh..

It would take them months to update every pixel etc, so remastering is a pretty good thing. Just put some HD on it and it's good to go! I'd rather see if redone with God of War 3 graphics, but that would never happen, and that would take a lot of time.. Still ;>
Im buying this so I can play it with better controls and on a larger screen. I really couldn't care less about the graphical changes; the games already looked awesome to me.

pretty much higher resolution and smoothed out the rough edges (add anti-aliasing).
@Dxternator It's not RUclips, it's gamespot. It's how they make money and provide you with these videos.

that's the point it is an old game and they wanted to show that the originals look the same soo people that will get it for the psp know what they get
@pspguy2013 well they actually did more than port the graphics over though, they also 4x the texture resolution, and double and triple the polygon counts for the environment and character, if they did a simple port we would see graphics like the gta stories games
PS3 has better controls, upscaled cutscenes and slightly improved textures and audio.
@jinzo64 techwise it is very improve 4x texture resolution, and 2-3x more polygons, but its just because of it being a bigger screen, it was on a smaller screen it would be very noticeable

Why does the commercial have to be as long as the video?
For me it changes nothing, cuz when u play it on psp the screen is smaller so u don't need 1080p resolution to have an "HD" experience!
@spidervovan Lets use an analogy. People like COD4. they dont like black ops. hypothetically, the make cod4 updated with higher graphics. theyre getting it. ps2 games cant be compatible with ps3 so they do this.
@BigWillyam um no it doesnt, its just harder to program the n64 had the same problem... the xbox is easier to program hence why it seems to get better ports sometimes
@PrankyAntony I'll spare you, this time. If you've played it on the PSP, maybe it isn't worth the money. But if you havn't, the games are awesome!
@BigWillyam its more of both reasons why the ps3 seems to be underpar with multiplatform games and the reason if it is only for ps3 is because they have more time to figure out the hardware and they also stream in most texture also which is what fills the bluray, so the hardware has it advantages and disadvantages
@RedMclaren no but if you download them from the psv's psn store, it will filter the image and produce a better image than the psp does
Psp was truly unbelievable when it came out. It may have looked better than this if you played on a 3000 or go. They had more memory than the og psp

@2007pepsilover every multi platform game looks best in this order 1. pc 2. xbox. 3. ps3 thats because it isnt using the bluray technology but when it is for only ps3 it looks pretty good
at least its still the same game unlike when they put cod on the ds of ps2 they make it comepletly different i used to play ds n ps2 until i upgraded
it is not the same graphics ported over with a better resolution, the developers confirmed they upped the texture resolution by 4x, and double and in some cases tripled the polygon models (Character and environment ), not mad just putting that out there, it may not look the same but if they put the orignal graphics on the ps3 it would have look a lot worse than it does now.

I recently purchased Ghost of Sparta for PS3 on the PS store. The only problem was that when I tried to download it kept asking if I was gonna download it onto PSP. Thing is I ain't got a PSP, only PS3 and PS4. Somebody help me, please.

Going from the psp version, to my 46 inch 3d samsung HDTV, is just awesome!! Sharper image, smooth gameplay at 60 fps, great sound, is beast!! Any fan with a PS3, I recommend buying it! I bought this, the collection, and GoW3, I going to play each game once more, even if you already play this on ps2, or psp you will be amaze how this remaster vesion looks n plays, a must own!!

I had no idea that psp games were exact copy of ps2/ps3 games, I thought psp games had different gameplay.
other than anti aliasing there is basically no difference. Textures still look very low res. Just a cash in.

But Steam actually likes PS3, they already tested it with Portal 2, a former X360 exclusive comes to PS3 and also for the first time Steam links PC and console.

A little anti aliasing and some bloom there......Nothing special, in my opinion ....They could have worked more on it to make it look better.

@gandhrav They make the same game to work on different consoles... Thought that was fairly obvious. Why make a game for PS2 and then put the same title on PSP with different gameplay? Lol...
The PS3 is a little clearer than the PSP.
@PrankyAntony the one that supports two sticks, runs at 60 FPS and has a better image quality (not to mention the resolution)
The right one :P I highly recommend these games, they are better than God of War 3 and Ready at Dawn is a kick ass developer
