You are a master of words, and editing my friend. Amazing video and only one speck of the memories to be made before we are past our primes!!! Cheers to next year's competition!!
You have such a way with words, absolutely fantastic. Those were some epic packs! Love your tent build and the little stove. Great video, Signal! Take care.
Great film! I enjoyed this concept haha I have never had a backpack with a weight lower than 35lbs my heaviest being 45lbs. I can’t believe you had over 50lbs! Haha my back kills after stuff like that. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching Kenny! That pack was tricky to even put on. I can't believe Cody had 72lbs on his back! Lol This was a fun trip. I'll get Coco next year. 🤙
Warm cozy feel to your films, they make me feel right at home. Well done my friend, and it’s amazing how you built your own hot tent! Absolutely impressed, I can’t wait to get out hiking/camping with ya again soon!
Awesome trip. Nice job on your tent build. That was an awesome challenge too. That is the way I normally pack. Lol. You picked the right backpack for the job. That is the same model backpack that I have. Baltoro 85 for me carries the weight really well. For me it makes it feel 20 pounds lighter because the pack is so good. Well done on your trip and video. Take care and have a great day.
Ah you guys what a blast, great to compare all three vudeos, won't lie we did Tim's first, Cocos a healthy second and saved yours till last ❤ some might say save the best till last! 😀 You rocking the 🔥 ⛺ /sauna tent, noooice! Beautiful colours in the trees and lovely footage throughout, smashing looking location for some super heavy weight camping, word on the street is you camp was visible from space! 🌌 Loved your take on the trip, Coco the king of the heavyweight camping weight ring 🏆 well played on your 2nd place! Won't lie pleased for you guys Tim forget gir "mood lighting" that and the machete is a horror film in the making! We see alot of hit tents over here, you should check out Mr Wild Wales, he uses them too 😎 Great drone footage, love it! 🦅🏅 Your commentary is great, really adds a professional feel to your videos. Thanks so much for taking us along. Good tree knowledge on moisture too, top woods man 🪵 Great video, good fun, such a good bunch! 👍 have a great week, Ceri and Kat ☕❤👍 🍂
Just been sent over here by Tim Buckley and Coco from Bohemian adventurers 👍 I love their videos and this travelling ultra heavy is such fun we are thinking of doing it here in Wales 🏴 (watch this space) love the Hot tent it looks awesome, great video and thanks for taking us along 😃Take care, Simon & Mark
Excellent video once again!!!! Interesting to see another view of this trip after I watched Buckley's. Ultra Heavy backpacking who knew it was a thing!!!! Can't wait to see what you guys come up with next year!!!
I’ve watched all three of you guys now and it was great to see the different takes on your hike together. The scenery was lovely to watch . Great video guys . Good morning from The Whitsundays, Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺
I like that bigger size of tipi. My smaller one that i made is very adequate even for two people and a stove but I personally get tired of crawling around on my hands and knees so much. It is nice to be able to stand up in a tent. I had to laugh at the heaviest pack philosophy. My camping outfit is so heavy and bulky that it has to be transported by machine most of the time. And that's the way I like it. :O)
My main hot tent is a 4 person and its pretty roomy but I'd have to agree its nice be able stand up straight, especially with how much time is spent in the tent during the winter. I really liked that trick you showed for making the most out of the tarp. Before my next trip I'm going to add a vent at the top to help with the condensation. How did you end up holding your door shut? I don't recall you showing that. I've tried magnets and Velcro but haven't found the perfect solution yet. Thanks for watching Lonnie!
@@SignalOutdoors My method of closing the door has simply been to reach out and slip the bottom of the door tie-out grommet over a stake. Not real convenient or practical but it works. However I have recently thought of a new way of closing the door that i think will work much better. There are some "bungees" that are a loop attached to a "ball" at one end. Place a grommet in an appropriate location on the part of the doorway that is stationary. Place one of those bungee things in that grommet from the outside so that the ball is on the outside of the tent and sucked up against the side of the tent so that only the ball is exposed. Now another grommet should be placed in the door flap at the same level and stick a bungee thingy through the grommet from the inside so that the ball is against the grommet and the bungee is hanging outside. Now if you take that door flap bungee end and slip it over the stationary ball and place the inside bungee over the door flap ball you should have a tightly stretched and closed door way. I am thinking that perhaps two sets of those may be needed. One set about midway down from the top and one set near the ground. Hope what I described makes sense.
Now I don't feel bad...LOL never been that heavy 71lb wow. Kind of like my camps...More like a lug in than a hike in...LOL but always fun.. Excellent video S.O.
I’m pumped to have subscribed to your channel. Enjoy your editing style and the intro/outro are beautifully done. Looked like a fun trip with your boys. - J B E N H I K E S
Haha Ultra Heavy Hike I love it! Nothing wrong with being comfortable while camping. Especially when you earn it by carrying in up to 72 lbs.. 😂 Great video my friend!
I like your hot tent! 👍 What was the rule on the milage to get to camp? Makes a difference on the weight you can carry! 😁 But great idea! Loved it! Watched all 3 stories about it! Have a great Sunday! Kaat
Hey Kaat! There was no rule about milage but I think we should put a minimum milage rule in next year. I think that would make it a little more strategic. Have a great rest of your weekend. 🤙
You are a master of words, and editing my friend. Amazing video and only one speck of the memories to be made before we are past our primes!!! Cheers to next year's competition!!
