I think nominating for strategy just because "X could win" isn't a very good strategy. You can nominate them, yes, but the public has the final say. This was the flaw with Jade and several other people's strategies in 2013. Yes, the technically have a higher chance of going home if they're always nominated, but if the public wants them, the public will crown them. How Tim nominated is a bit more sophisticated. He would calculate who was going to probably nominate who and then nominate those with the middle amount of points so that his nomination points would matter the most, and potentially be able to save himself from nomination. Also, the effort he put into making his nominations a big show definitely contributed to a winning strategy. Repeatedly putting the winner on the chopping block is not a useful strategy. You must convince the public to crown a different winner. Nominating someone because you think they're going to win makes for boring TV, and the name of the game in Big Brother is to make good TV. I mean seriously if you're going to employ such a boring and useless strategy I'd rather you didn't employ any strategy at all. I'd wager having no strategy is a better strategy than having a piss poor boring strategy.
