New Taipei City Attractions: Full Moon National Forest Recreation Area|Enjoy the Fendor of the Fores

The Full Moon National Forest Recreation Area is named after the round mountains resembling a full moon, and because of the topography of the area, the slopes of the river valleys in the area are steep, forming many spectacular waterfalls. The area is mostly high mountain and hilly land, and its topography gradually increases from northwest to southeast. The altitude is about 300~1,700 meters. There is a Gnat Creek running through it in the area. Due to the complete natural flora and dense forests, there are many kinds of wild animals, especially birds. Low- and medium-altitude birds are common in the park, which is a good place for bird watching; there are also butterflies distributed along the Gnat Creek. On the whole, the forest in the Full Moon Forest Recreation Area is very beautiful. Whether it is natural broad-leaved forest or artificial forestation, it is a good place for forest bathing, bird watching, waterfall watching, and mountain climbing.
