  • While FALSETTO is deprived of overtones, both MIXED VOICE and HEAD VOICE are richer in overtones. It can be observed through a mathematical transform called "Fourier Transform", which allow us to decompose a wave into its constituent frequencies. Here you may see a graphical representation of such a decomposition at each instant from Tonex rendering his own a capella version of "When I see Jesus". Tonex masters connecting vocal modes (registers?), that is, passagio, breaks, bridges, etc.
    Notice that he keeps the ring in his tone whatever the pitch he sings in.

    @TheJaredThingy I used ADOBE AUDITION to do this analysis, but I believe you may find non proprietary software that can do the same.

    @BlakMajik2303 Sincerely, I don't know even if it has been recorded for an album. As far as I can remember, I've found it somewhere over internet. Indeed, I wish I could find Ton3x vocal lessons announced on his Myspace tonexvocalsecrets. Do you have any idea?
