I can't possibly imagine why anyone needs to disparage any of your videos. They're the best of the best. This build video highlighted some info that every THM 350 builder can use everyday...
You did a very good job of explaining the different processes and the terminologies. Being about your age, I think, I can hear in your vernacular your experience as well as the people you learned from. This video was fun for me, as it reminded me of the work I did as a young man. I wish we had those rebuild kits 30 years ago. I hope the young people watching your instruction can appreciate not only your skills and knowledge, but the learning environment you create. Teaching while doing is not an easy thing to do. I did it for many years in my profession. Your verbal delivery of instruction while showing the process at the same time is about as perfect as can be. I have watched to many training videos to count. I actually enjoyed yours. I thank you much.
Hiram has got it going on! He is one of the best instructors on RUclips. I have rebuilt a transmission myself once, but I didn't trust my work, therefore I did not use it. Hiram shows where the mistakes can occur, and he also informs us of the proper parts used for the particular rebuild. This is great! Hiram, keep-up the good work. I'll keep watching.
Part 3? Please do not stop making Videos,, hard to find people like you that are willing to share your knowledge. And you are an awesome teacher. Kids nowadays need all the help they can get,,,
My father is a retired police mechanic and he did all the transmissions, Hiram you sound just like my dad talking about ingenuity, the screwdriver your special tools look just like the ones he gave me. I am doing my first rebuild since tech school, that was 2000. My father is not into social media and such but he has found RUclips recently and I am going to have him make you his first subscription! He said he put his tools away one final time now its my time to build my own transmissions, I just wanted a refresher on assembly, but I am walking away from the computer with a smile on my face. You are A #1 for hands on real life scenario bench building. My hat off to you sir!
You rock. No need to defend against a negative comment or two. They will grow up one day, hopefully. It is very obvious that you know what time it is. Love your work. Rock on. We love ya.
I've been away for a while but the th350 videos were a GREAT help! I built one over a year ago for a truck I no longer have and it has been in storage ever sense. I went with the high performance kit with the kolene steels. Also put in the Transgo kit. Up to this time, I had only rebuilt a powerglide back in the early 80s for class. The th350 ended up in a Mazda b2200 with a SBC that I recently completed. With your help and common sense approach to teaching with videos, my project was a complete success!!!! Thank you for posting informative and entertaining videos! Blessings!!
If every mechanic worked like you the world would be a much better place! If mechanics were like you I would take my own car to one - but they aren't so I fix my own...Great job!
I really enjoyed this video!! Learned a whole bunch. I still remember my 16 year old self taking one of those apart and having no idea how it worked it looked like magical voodoo. So I ended up grabbing one from the junkyard. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the world
i think most of us hit that point sometime in our lives. " oh shit how does it go back together? screw it just go to the junkyard" before we had youtube.
Unbelievable that people don't SUBSCRIBE for free after watching. Millions of views yet only thousands of subs don't make sense!! Your knowledge is staggering! Thank you for taking the time to make this video and sharing it with us!
i've been watching your videos for a while now & i think you make a great teacher. i do all my own transmission work myself. the first trans i ever done was a th350 & the second was a 2004r (200r4 whichever it is lol) which lasted at least 12 years until the car got stolen a couple years back. then a c6 (easy) & now i'm building a nice th400 to go behind a stout 383 sbc. when i was younger i ran around with a boy who's dad rebuilt transmissions for a living so i learned a lot from both of them. his dad walked me through a th350 that he was doing for a customer. that was pretty cool to do. most people are intimidated by them & are afraid to tackle doing it themselves, but in all honestly they're not to bad. get a good manual & watch Hiram's videos (or whoever has one of what your working on) & try it yourself. not all take special tools to work on & a lot of people show you tricks on how to get the job done without the specialty tools. thank you for doing what you do. you make a difference whether you know it or not.
THANK YOU HIRAM. I watched your vids to rebuild my 4l60e. That was 5 years ago and it's still working great! Thanks to you. You are one of my Hero's, Brother. I watched your Vid about 50 times throughout the process. You are a You Tube King as far as I'm concerned.
Hiram: i owned/operated an AAMCO franchise for 15 yrs. You are dead on, regarding get it done right and get it out the door. These young "rookies" will learn that it has to work right or the owner is not happy, lost $, R&R men frustrated, taking the unit out and reinstalling again. 20 yrs ago a builder could push out 4 (350, c-6 etc) a day, today he is good to get 1-2 a day and that is a top notch builder. Unreal pressure on builders. Great builders make great money as does the owner.
Dead on John. I started with Aamco in 1972. learned on all the old iron. It was nothing to pump out 3-4, C-4, Powerglides, Torqueflites in a day... I made good money for 30 years in the transmission industry.
Good job with the video. Back in the 1970's I rebuilt 2 of these per day. They were going bad at 30,000 miles. Therefore, these trannies got a bad rap. Not because they were a bad transmission, it was planned failure by GM. The lip seals in the clutch packs were very small. Eventually, they would wear slightly or become hard and oil would bypass the seal causing failure. The rebuilt kit had much larger lips on the seals. These were very good trannies. After a rebuild, they worked very well. I don't think we ever had one come back. Unlike the Fords of the day with their sticking valve bodies.
I have been in the Automatic Transmission business for over 43 years and Hiram is teaching you the right way, there should never be any bad comments about him.I dont know him personally but he seems like a damn good person as well. You can bank on what he is preaching.
Gracias Hiram once again for a very thorough and informative video. I appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos. Full of knowledge . I actually have one of these on my bench getting ready to go through it. Aver que le sale.Thank You Carnal. Looking forward to part 3.
I'm a Dodge dealership transmission technician. You helped me a lot with my first GM 4L80E overhaul for my buddy. I felt more comfortable doing the overhaul after watching your video. Look forward to watching more of your videos. You need to make one of the fix for A604 P1776 switching valve issue. Thanks Hiram.
It's Sat 4am, dreaming, I'm hearing this constant banging and rattling metal to metal. WTF as I'm coming-to and hoping it'll go away. Gawd, it's like a metal shop bench I recognize as an FAA Certified Aircraft Mechanic at 16 years old. It's coming from my PC and I roll over trying to focus on the display I remember last night ...Mercedes E320 Wheel Speed Sensors... and wha? TN350? How did this huh? 2:00++ hours long omg??!! But I couldn't stop watching, before my eyes you're reassembling a trans I've only heard about. Actually decades ago, I was an Auto Service Contract Claims Adjuster where I discussed these components on the phone with mechanics, parts to which you were referring this very moment. Quite a fascinating video and I really enjoyed your expertise, finesse and mechanical "address" of energy. Theory vs. practicality is oh so a reality in the field, further, an A&P mechanic does not an automotive one make - that's for sure - and your video clearly demonstrates. As a DIY'er on my own benz's for 30 years I'm comfortable amongst the technology and fluid dynamics but still apprehensive when it comes to the automotive-astute mind you exemplify. Only a wrench in both realms can try describe another wrench, better, you just "know." Mostly I've learned, one is really good at one more than the other. You're really really good at what you do bro. Thanks for the great production! And to the Spring Valley and Cajon Speedway post, I feel ya'. Carlsbad dragstrip was a great venue too!
felicidades Sr Hiram Hernández es ud. todo un experto y muy profesional en su trabajo permítame felicitarle por su tiempo tan valioso que comparte con nosotros yo admiro y respeto alas personas como usted muchas gracias bary
I am not 30 years old any more but 2 units a day has been a standard of industry for as long as i can remember. Great videos , I have the utmost respect for you , and have learned many things watching you in such harmony. Keep up the good work. JIM
Don't know anything about automatic transmissions but i do know from watching you and listening that you are the real deal. Thank you for sharing you experience and knowledge.
Thank you Hiram. I’ve watched this and part 1 and they were a huge help in rebuilding my first 350. You obviously bring a lot of experience and knowledge to your videos and I really appreciate you taking the time to share it. I can’t wait to watch part 3!
Hiram? I'm SURE you've heard this thousands of times, but YOU REALLY ARE...The MANNNN!!!!! A Million thanks for the years of your hard work, and having me LMAO on every video!
Im a retired Chevy Olds Cad. mechanic. this 350 brings back old memories. You do a great job doing the recon and explaining. I enjoy your videos keep up the good work. Ill be seeing you on the next vidoe! Thanks!
Hi Hiram, I just wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed your video. Just so you can gain some perspective concerning your viewers, I am a truck nut (Square body Chevys) with no training concerning transmissions. I am getting ready to rebuild my engine and transmissions and I wanted to be up to date on the inner workings of a turbo 350 tranny. To me this is one large 1000 piece puzzle. You explained every part of it and showed us all how to access things and how to pull and then re install the parts. This video ensures I don't get ripped off by some smooth talking con artist at a shop. Now Ive seen the parts, and Ive seen what it takes to tear one down and put one back together...in detail! I am sure there is TONS more to know, but I can tell you I do feel so much better now that Ive seen you do the work. It was a pleasure listening to you work and I thank you very much for putting this on RUclips. And yes, I subscribed!
Hiram, being an ol retired trans. mechanic I couldn't agree with you more, schooling in nice but no replacement for experience in the shop. You have great videos, I really enjoy them. Thanks
Hiram is truly an expert. His videos are not only informative, they are extremely entertaining. I've watched several "hammer mechanic's" videos that only waste your time, but put you on the wrong track. Stick with a PRO as is Hiram. Oh, and thank you Hiram. un verdadero placer
I hit the like button before I watch because I know it's gonna be good....thanks Hiram! Be cool....run your fans!!! Man that foot press is a right handy tool.
Your memory is amazing. Regardless of what occupation you chose in life, you would have been successful. We are all lucky that we can drive cars with your rebuilt transmissions! Thanks for sharing your videos!
Hey I was commenting on what you said about these guys going threw tech school and posting negative comments. You know text book and real life is different. You are the King of Transmission builders and I would trust what you say over any text book. I'm a certified tech and have been in the automotive field all my life, and you truly inspire me and as long as you have made a video on the transmission I'm building I feel comfortable doing the job. All of us mechanics are blessed to have you sharing your skills and experience. Thank you and please keep on posting your tech videos. I hang on to every word you say.
Hiram, you are a very intelligent man. Well versed, the way you explain what you are doing is important information without making beginners feel bad. You are a good man.
Hiram, Thank you for taking all the time to produce these videos. I am NOT a professional mechanic but have been building and repairing cars & motorcycles for several decades. With little experience on an automatic transmission and only your videos and a book, I completely rebuilt my TH350 for my '78 Trans Am (w/'73 455 bored and stroked). Took me about two weeks off/on after work kept going back to your videos as reference. Today, my T/A got a test drive and everything is perfect. My car would not move an inch before I started. It turns out the outer seal on the Low/Reverse piston had deteriorated. There was no way pressure would build behind it to engage the clutches. All seals replaced, all fibers, all metals, band, etc. Thanks again!!!! My car runs perfect thanks to your help!!!!
Just finished my 2nd TH350, since watching the video, 3 mos ago. The latter had severe damage, to center support case splines. So glad Hiram showed us the case fix metal tabs. Honestly took a bit of in and out to make them work, but in the end, everything tight as a drum. Thanks again. This one going in a 1949 Studebaker truck Hot Rod.
This was great. Watching that table bounce reminded me of a 1" thick steel table I had. Needed a fork truck to move it but did it move when I had several hundred pounds of engine or transmission on it? No, no it did not.
Thanks Hiram for your th350 trans I up until the time I watched your video on the rebuild I never been inside a trans myself I’ve been around them but never personally attempted the overhaul I just wanted to say your video helped me go through the th 350 I used hp parts and shift kit your instructions were so precise to my amazement I put it back together and it actually works great, thank you for sharing
Dear Hiram, Giving is receiving!!! So keep doing that,God will bless you with all good things!!! Give all your heart you will receive many folds!!! Instead of telling people what to do, ask people to subscribe with a smile!!! 🤩😎👍👌😘
HIRAM ERES UN PROFECIONAL TE FELICITO..CUANDO NOS PODRAS DAR UN TUTORIAL DE LA TRANSMISION 4HP16 AQUI EN MEXICO ENTRE OTROS ES PARA CHEVROLET OPTRA 2008 GRACIA
WELL I HAVE A 1974 CHEVY TRUCK, 350 TURBO TRANMISSION THAT NEEDS TO BE REBUILT, YOUR VIDEO WAS THE BEST OUT OF 20 OTHERS I WATCH (PARTIALY WATCHED) GOT TO YOURS AND VERY INFORMATIVE AND GOOD ATTENTION TO DETAIL. I DO KNOW I HAVE ALL THE TOOLS TO REBUILD MINE, BUT MY BRAIN COULD NEVER KEEP THE PARTS AND PIECES ORGANIZED, SO HERE IN SPOKANE WASHINGTON I HAVE A FEW FOLKS THAT SPECIALIZE IN 350 BUILDS AND I WILL CHOOSE ONE OF THEM. I KNEW THAT AUTOMATICS HAD LOTS OF PARTS, OVER MY HEAD EVEN THOUGH IM A MECHANICLLY INCLINED PERSON. I HAVE A SM465 TORE DOWN BUT IT NEEDS MORE PARTS AND A LOT MORE TIME TO GET IT UP AND GOING TO PUT INTO MY TRUCK THAT IS SET UP FOR AUTOMATIC, SO GOING TO HAVE THE TRANS REBUILD BY A SHOP AND I WILL REBUILD THE 205 T CASE AND THE DIFFS MYSELF. NEED TO GET THE TRUCK ROLLING IN THE SPRING TIME. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST REBUILD KIT FOR A TRUCK 350 TRANS AND WHAT MANUFACTUER,I HAVE SEEN THIS ONE COMPANY CALLED "MONSTER" DO YOU HAVE A OPINION ON THIS COMPANYS PARTS. THANKS AGAIN ON SUCH A GREAT VIDEO. IF ANYONE IS WORKING ON CHEVY TRUCKS AND REBUILDING SM465'S AND 205 TRNAFER CASES THE PLACE ON RUclips TO GO IS "GEBBUILD" CHANNEL HE HAS LOTS OF VIDEOS HEAVY CHEVY FIXES.
Great video but, I thought you said that you would omit 3 of the 4 ck balls for performance reasons as described on the shift kit. and yet you did install all 4 why??
I don't know why people don't subscribe. It was done in a way the back yard er can understand. Some people don't realize you have to have viewers so you can get the sponsors. Some don't care. Looking forward to part 3 Thank you
You can only learn certain things by reading a book, and being in a classroom. Reality is a whole different ballgame. Just like with engine mechanics, classroom, and reality are entirely different. You did a fantastic job of rebuilding that THM 350. I have rebuilt a few back in the day along with a THM 400. I work on small engines now, and I love it. Thanks for great the videos.
HI, HIram. I dont think ive watched a film that was so entertaining and facinating. you truly are an expert in your field. I look forward to watching you work your magic in future films thanks, many regards.
While I never rebuld an automatic transmission, I've learned enough from these videos to be able to understand the basics and if I need any work done on mine I'll at least be able to understand what they are talking about!
Sir, I salute you! At my neck of the woods automatic transmission rebuild is considered something of a dark art. You make it seem very straightforward. Thanks to your videos I don't have to pay an arm and a leg to rebuild my THM 350. I think I can manage it all by myself. So thanks a million!
Hey Hiram, I'm not a mechanic but I really appreciate you taking the time to make these videos. And because you don't swear I can listen with my family around!
Just seeing these videos now, (sept 2021) first time rebuilder for my 1979 Chevy k20. Purchased a rebuild kit, shift kit, assemblee goo, and a manual on th350.What I didnt need, was the Manual. Excellent video and in fact the first time I've ever liked, subscribed, or even commented on a RUclips video. Keep up the great work. Very helpful!
Having rebuilt 2 THM-350's myself, I completely enjoyed your videos and some of your techniques that I wish I had known at the time. One thing that surprised me is that you didn't lube most of the replacement parts. I suppose the bushings didn't really NEED a touch of oil before they were driven in, but it's still something i would do if it were me. Same thing for all the screws and seals... a touch of oil before putting them back in. One trick I used with the valve body checkballs was to "glue" them in place with a touch of grease. My OCD personality would have kept me removing the separator plate and checking if they were still there! LOL!
Thanks Hiram. I just finished my 350 with your videos. My core looked even better than yours, but because of you I figured out many issues. I pulled the pan and thought the box would have damage, now I believe it’s torque converter blew up. My trans had NO end play shims, missing one internal filter, worn clutches and TONS of red silicone. Plugged up oil passages in the front pump. A lot of work to pick all the pieces out!
Awesome video sir! I bought a book, watched both your videos, and now I'm gonna go build my THM350 till it shifts hard enough to break a output shaft. Brutal hard shifts ramming horsepower into my slicks! YES!
Hands down best transmission videos I've seen. Straight to the point and real talk. I could tell that you knew what you were doing just by the way you disassembled this transmission. I would love to have you build a transmission for my 4x4 Chevy...
I have no idea why people won’t subscribe . I’ve watched this video at least 5 times . I built a TH 350 for my drag car 3 years ago . Works great 9.24 in 1/4 mile very good video . You might think of a 350 with trans brake and the 7004r center support ! People aren’t using them there afraid of them .you know a hell of a lot more than I do !
Hands down best tutorial videos on RUclips....my first time into an automatic transmission, I watched and referenced your 4L80E vid and applied a couple 'techniques' to the direct drum and it pulls like a freight train after 20,000 miles and I tow in overdrive all the time except on hard pulls and that's mostly to keep the engine cool...GREAT TEACHER
Man i appreciate your time and experience, expertise, you share with us. It's not very often a man with your talent takes the time to share with people, so Thank you.
You remind me of my friend Steve, he ran the transmission shop rebuild room at Palm Chevrolet in Ocala Florida .. just like him you know your shit an ace wrench and you most definitely know your shit. You make transmission rebuilds look like Child's Play, and of course anybody that has ever turned a wrench nose they are not,and there isn't a more technical job in the world.... Transmissions have a bazillion moving Parts they only fit if positioned correctly, and everything has to be in good working order.. undoubtedly Transmissions is one of the hardest positions at a dealership,or in any shop really..I subscribed, and I plan on watching all the time.. Thank you for the videos God bless you,, and your family my friend....Be well
I wanted to say thank you for running videos on different transmissions I have built 6 different transmissions off of your videos and if you continue I will continue watching you because you know what s going on with them thanks a million
not allot of flash, just a bare bones, step by step, detailed how to video. Watching this video, to brush up on th350's. Have not done one, in awhile. At the Dodge dealership in SE Cleveland, I did a ton of RWD truck and Jeep automatics. Then I moved to Florida, went to work for a race team and did all their NMT200 Hewland 6 speed sequentials. What a BIG difference! Had 35 gearboxes to maintain. As President of our car club, fixing all the hoodlums transmissions, seems to be part of the deal. No worries. Love exercising my skills. This one is going in Nads' 1959 El Camino. So, debating on upgrading the shifts or just keeping it stock. Just a mild custom cruiser, with 400 small block. Thanks for sharing. Wow! - thank you for taking the time to do this..I'm inspired to tackle this more now than ever - I tore down a c4 years ago when I was younger in the basement of our house and got freaked out..now it makes way more sense. Thank you.
Wonderful video. Learned a lot. I noticed that you didn't use gasket sealer when you put the pan on. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. You didn't have to do that. True professional.
Hiram, thanks for the video. Despite being a veteran technician, with 35+ years experience, always good to brush up on some details. Did notice a few things, that I was taught and normally do, that you skipped. Quite certain you have your own proven methods. This TH350, is going in my car club brother's '59 El Camino. doing the swap, next week. Will let you know how it works out. Opted out of the shift kit upgrade. This unit was in good shape, just sitting around for years, dried up seals. She's all fresh now. Excited to put it in.JTPres:Orlando Misfires CC
i think the people that don't subscribe is because they are not planning on rebuilding a transmission after they see how many parts are involved and the people like myself that do subscribe are planning on doing it ourselves and you are really good at showing every step of the process and why you have to do things the right way and show us the right way.. i am going to rebuild my first THM 350 with a shift kit just like the one in the video, so i will be re-watching your videos a few times prob.. lol thanks a lot Hiram
Hey justin i learn something from u every video and i dont mind admitting im 52 this year love metal works/ welding im into motorsports 2 and 4 wheels recently picked up a 180 acdc unimig too supplement my large mig i build bike and car trailers as a hobby which i onsell to club members of my bike and car clubs which helps me finance my son and my own motorsports always nice too see my builds at nearly every trackdays not too mention positive comments.I probably sell my trailers a little cheap. Most dont believe i build them from home i put a lot of attention too detail as i say not bad for a trade qualified newspaper press operater.Keep up ur good work ur an inspiration too me mate take care
You remind me of the builder that taught me years ago. Practice & feel like you said. My days were all hydraulic trany's. You refreshed my old rebuilding day of long ago. Apritiated your show.
I have no interest in rebuilding a transmission, yet after 2 hours and 35 minutes...I'm still watching. Great job Hiram and yes I watched part one first. Subscribed.
I'm glad I subscribed when I did, messing part three is not an option. I can't tell you, adequately with words, how much I appreciate you sharing your expertise. you have helped me, and others I have no doubt immeasurably. thanks brother.
Hiram, Thanks for taking the time to do this. I'm rebuilding a 350C for my 81 Vette. It now has a rebuilt 350 (20 yr ago) with high stall converter that leaks out of the front pump flange. Since gas mileage went from 18 to 14 so trying to get more mileage but still want to be able to handle mildly built 350. I have the build manuals etc but you made it much more interesting. I love 'that a boy' etc. Anyway I did subscribe and appreciate your help.
so much of what you say about production work in your field is the same as mine ( body work). we have gotten young guys who will do a tear down for inspection and spend wayyyy toooo much time or spend too much time with filler work etc etc . I have built a few th350's over the years for my stuff and friends and im not even in the realm of being a pro but your videos help a lot. Not only tech help but your description of the products and kits. Awesome content brother.
I can't possibly imagine why anyone needs to disparage any of your videos. They're the best of the best. This build video highlighted some info that every THM 350 builder can use everyday...

Those were simple compared to the transmissions today. Just the difference from a 350 to a 4l60e is quite bit more time
I am a retired automation engineer that is disabled. I could watch your videos all day, thank you for sharing your talent very you are very inspiring.
The voice of experience/wisdom, "When you cross over from THEORY to REALITY".....priceless!
Fell asleep and woke up on this video. Interesting stuff here
That actually happened to me
Yup
Same😭😭😭
Same lmao
Same here 😂😂😂
I have been in the Automatic Transmission business for over 43 years and Hiram is teaching you the right way, there should never be any bad comments about him.I dont know him personally but he seems like a damn good person as well.

I am not 30 years old any more but 2 units a day has been a standard of industry for as long as i can remember. Great videos , I have the utmost respect for you , and have learned many things watching you in such harmony. Keep up the good work. JIM
Have no intent of rebuilding a transmission. Just admiring your work. Subscribed.
One the most thorough videos I have ever seen, you are an amazing teacher!!!
Thanks!
I never owned an automatic transmission in my forty some odd years of driving but you made this very interesting.
Nice job boss.
I think RUclips wants me to watch this video cause every time I fall asleep watching Chrisfix I land here lol
Same 😂
yep
I get to it after Scotty!! 😂😂
this happened to me today
I was watching The Detail Geek and I just woke and my phone was on this lmao
Hiram, being an ol retired trans. mechanic I couldn't agree with you more, schooling in nice but no replacement for experience in the shop. You have great videos, I really enjoy them. Thanks
Great video. So true about the things experienced builders do that arent "by the book".
Man that foot press is a right handy tool.
i do also
Your memory is amazing. Regardless of what occupation you chose in life, you would have been successful. We are all lucky that we can drive cars with your rebuilt transmissions! Thanks for sharing your videos!
this bacicly has no part of your statment but where is part 3?
You, my friend, are a skilled surgeon!
Hiram,
good video!
no blingbling... just what it's about!
Regards from Europe.
I can do it thank you before no way now I can do it

hello
Hiram, you are a very intelligent man. Well versed, the way you explain what you are doing is important information without making beginners feel bad.
You are a good man.
Hiram, I appreciate you sharing your expertise with us. I would subscribe twice if I could.
My car runs perfect thanks to your help!!!!
tHANKS BEEN WATCHING SOME OF YOUR LESSIONS. Realyl liked the 4L60E it helped. I'm ASE Master but not a trans expert by no means. Thanks again

And nothing hit the floor!

HIRAM ,WHERE DID YOU GO BUDDY, We miss your videos man
Dear Hiram,
Giving is receiving!!!
Omit one closest to modulator. I done several hundred TH350s
I don't know why people don't subscribe. It was done in a way the back yard er can understand. Some people don't realize you have to have viewers so you can get the sponsors. Some don't care. Looking forward to part 3 Thank you
ES USTED UN SUPER MAESTRO!!....
Thanks for great the videos.
i have never seen a man just make a pile out of an automatic transmission he intends to rebuild with no regret.
HI, HIram. I dont think ive watched a film that was so entertaining and facinating. you truly are an expert in your field. I look forward to watching you work your magic in future films thanks, many regards.
Hiram, You're The Man...
While I never rebuld an automatic transmission, I've learned enough from these videos to be able to understand the basics and if I need any work done on mine I'll at least be able to understand what they are talking about!
Automatic users: I don’t have a clutch.
Me who has a stick: Yeah, you have more than a clutch.
I fell asleep on my laptop and woke up to being 2:01:46 hours in the video lmfao
Spiche haha same thing happened to me
Hey Hiram, I'm not a mechanic but I really appreciate you taking the time to make these videos. And because you don't swear I can listen with my family around!
drink every time he says "bushing" and "with meaning"
I can’t see man
Just seeing these videos now, (sept 2021) first time rebuilder for my 1979 Chevy k20. Purchased a rebuild kit, shift kit, assemblee goo, and a manual on th350.What I didnt need, was the Manual. Excellent video and in fact the first time I've ever liked, subscribed, or even commented on a RUclips video. Keep up the great work. Very helpful!
Definitely gives me insight into why transmission repairs and rebuilds aren't cheap - that's a technical job for sure.
I am not a mechanic but I like you. Watching you work is great. You are professional!
Excellent workmanship 👍🏼I like that you keep your work area clean and organized 👍🏼
You really know your transmissions. You are very good, quick, and through both with repairs and explaining at the same time.
Awesome video sir! I bought a book, watched both your videos, and now I'm gonna go build my THM350 till it shifts hard enough to break a output shaft. Brutal hard shifts ramming horsepower into my slicks! YES!
This man is the truth of transmissions! Damn! I'm a military electronics weapons expert, and my head is spinning!
Hands down best transmission videos I've seen. Straight to the point and real talk. I could tell that you knew what you were doing just by the way you disassembled this transmission. I would love to have you build a transmission for my 4x4 Chevy...
This is just mind blowing to the amount of pieces and components you have to keep track of and what order they go in to the transmission.
Excited to put it in.JTPres:Orlando Misfires CC
i think the people that don't subscribe is because they are not planning on rebuilding a transmission after they see how many parts are involved and the people like myself that do subscribe are planning on doing it ourselves and you are really good at showing every step of the process and why you have to do things the right way and show us the right way.. i am going to rebuild my first THM 350 with a shift kit just like the one in the video, so i will be re-watching your videos a few times prob.. lol
thanks a lot Hiram
first trans i rebuilt, 1988. brought back lots of memories, and knowledge I had forgotten. Thanks!
Ólllllllpllllllllllllllllllllllllllĺpllplĺĺĺppl
Thanks for teaching this old dog some new tricks. Getting ready to do my first THM350 rebuild. Will be using your training as a tool.
i don't know a lot about rebuilding transmissions ,but i keep watching over and over, so i will get it sooner or later. thanks you are great at this
Hey justin i learn something from u every video and i dont mind admitting im 52 this year love metal works/ welding im into motorsports 2 and 4 wheels recently picked up a 180 acdc unimig too supplement my large mig i build bike and car trailers as a hobby which i onsell to club members of my bike and car clubs which helps me finance my son and my own motorsports always nice too see my builds at nearly every trackdays not too mention positive comments.I probably sell my trailers a little cheap.
+David Rogers You welcome.
Thank you for teaching in a method that is easy to learn by, very helpful and very understanding and thank you for supporting the car culture
With out a doubt this guy has amazing quality, video and narration has the quality of big name producer's. A pleasure to watch?
MR. GUTIERREZ. THIS IS BY FAR (NOT ONLY TRANSMISSION BUT AUTO IN GENERAL) THE BEST TEACHING ON RUclips! THANK YOU
so much of what you say about production work in your field is the same as mine ( body work). we have gotten young guys who will do a tear down for inspection and spend wayyyy toooo much time or spend too much time with filler work etc etc . I have built a few th350's over the years for my stuff and friends and im not even in the realm of being a pro but your videos help a lot. Not only tech help but your description of the products and kits. Awesome content brother.
