I really like the "Freedom denies the right to choose" line of Jevil, because it encapsulates his view of the cage being the only free place. I think it has something to do with ghaster telling him that his choices aren't his (like Sampton's "strings" analogy), and Jevil deciding that the only way to be free was to have no choices at all to be made for him.

You're the guy who introduced me to this song, and you've sent me on a never ending crusade to find out what "Freedom denies the right to choose" means.
It Denys the right of what to do, in the context of a crazy person he is saying that the concept of freedom they all supposedly have is a façade. this would also make sense considering that Jevil in in a game and he kind of knows it much like sans, they are free because they are aware of their situation but they still cant choose weather to continue or reset, they have no control or "freedom" in the sense of choosing what to do while they are still free. Either that or he is addressing the player or you who has the control over freedom and that limitless power of being able to do anything and everything in the context of the player or your soul doesn't have a choice but to do everything, in every variation because in lore your soul is the one behind Frisk and Kris and probably Chara as well and this soul can reset and what do you do with infinite chances and choices but to do everything which as a concept means you cant choose anything because the only thing you can do is everything, nothing more, nothing less. thats what i could pick up at least

There's a big christian feel to this song, so how I interpreted it is that if you have freedom, then your actions have morals behind them. That means there's right and wrong, and so doing any wrong makes you sinful, which would inevitably punish you into eternity. So for all intents and purposes, since you're free, you have no right to choose.
I just want to appreciate how this mans has made an animation for the whole song and not just one part of it, the people who can go through with making their animation go for an entire song and make it look good deserve mad respect.
I’m absolutely OBSESSED with this animation, the random switch to more pixilated art at 0:51 reminds me of Jevil randomly throwing out anything to stop the player, the animation looks absolutely perfect, I couldn’t do this good if someone held me at gun point with the worlds best animation software. I love how the quick speed of jevil bouncing and shifting poses reflects on him teleporting everywhere and his little gremlin personality. This animation is superb, the animation is perfect, the backgrounds make sense and the lip syncing is done great. Love this colour pallet on jevil. Art and also gave me an existential crisis. 10/10 would embrace psychological horror again In the Jevil Philos, I feel like the moral is not only that freedom is sinful, but also that the one place which is both free and sinless is creativity, drawings, and imagination, which isn't that much: thus the symbolism of Jevil being locked in a tiny cage yet being free at the same time. He has a small slice of freedom, but he's stretching it to the absolute limit, to the point that he believes that that tiny slice is more valuable than the entire rest of the world, thus believing everyone else is locked up while he's the free one.

After seeing this video (and hearing the music from Man on the internet), it occurs to me that Jevil and Spamton knows what going on, but they both know the same thing thats both said differently, Jevil knows the world is an entire fantasy, and kris isn’t free. Spamton, (from some youtuber named Rico) being a puppet with a sentimental mind, he know’s Kris is a puppet for him being possessed from some kind of entity (the player) as there’s strings attached to the player as well, but kris still has control over one thing that I know, his voice, although the player may choose dialogue options, his tone of voice isn’t optional, trying to break free, so what I’m saying is Kris know’s he’s controlled (until the times where he isn’t suggestively ending cutscenes when the player beats the chapter and he gets his chance for freedom for a limited time probably before dying) and Jevil and Spamton knows some things, hinting out that somethings wrong that no one understands (again except for kris). this is what I think atleast and my knowledge so far. I'm just gonna throw this out there... Jevil is one of the best characters in Deltarune (Atleast Chapter 1). Not only is his theme a bop, but his personality- although many characters from different series have it- also just is awesome.

After seeing this video (and hearing the music from Man on the internet), it occurs to me that Jevil and Spamton knows what going on, but they both know the same thing thats both said differently, Jevil knows the world is an entire fantasy, and kris isn’t free. Spamton, (from some youtuber named Rico) being a puppet with a sentimental mind, he know’s Kris is a puppet for him being possessed from some kind of entity (the player) as there’s strings attached to the player as well, but kris still has control over one thing that I know, his voice, although the player may choose dialogue options, his tone of voice isn’t optional, trying to break free, so what I’m saying is Kris know’s he’s controlled (until the times where he isn’t suggestively ending cutscenes when the player beats the chapter and he gets his chance for freedom for a limited time probably before dying) and Jevil and Spamton knows some things, hinting out that somethings wrong that no one understands (again except for kris). this is what I think atleast and my knowledge so far. And this is probably some useless info

Jevil is one of the best characters in Deltarune (Atleast Chapter 1). Not only is his theme a bop, but his personality- although many characters from different series have it- also just is awesome.
