We hear God’s voice through his son, Jesus. His God and Father gave him the words he should speak and commanded him to speak them. Have you ever read John 12:44-49? We can hear God’s voice through the scriptures. God commanded that we listen to his son. ( Mark 9:7 ) We listen by opening the Bible and read all of the words Jesus spoke.
The hidden wisdom of God is that he planned on bringing the nations into a relationship with him by their listening to the words of the gospel and accepting it. And since national groups speak in different languages, it was necessary for God to pour out his Holy Spirit on the disciples on the day of Pentecost so they could speak the languages of peoples of the nations. They did not speak gibberish nonsense. See John 6:63 , Jesus said the words that he speaks is spirit.
