The monitor stand when folded into the monitor also acts as protection for the jog wheel. I've owned two portable monitors and both have broken jog wheels. I now own 2 of these. Might buy a third for my detachable living room setup that mounts to the sofa with a gas arm if the adapter to mount 2 monitors to a single VESA mount can fit and mount 3 without too much modification.
Competing models sell for $200 and above, so I guess their price is the lowest. The difference is those competing models are 144 Hz compared to 60 Hz and this one.
Due to its size yes. The smaller sizes didn't always need it, but due to poor requirements of these large monitors, you need the power adapter as your USB port cannot supply ample power. I attempted to run it off USB port only, and it does work but it went into power-saving mode with a dimmed screen. When I plugged in the power adapter everything became brighter.
Not for very long it drains a lot of power so it operates in a reduced power mode which is slightly dimmed. You will need the included power adapter to provide ample power.
These are don't have wireless features but if you get a wireless HDMI transmitter it can work. There are many to choose from see here - amzn.to/3VXg0GP

No. Due to its size, it needs the power adapter to adequately provide power. If you connect only using a USB type C cable it will power on but the display will be dimmed at a reduced power which is not very bright. I tried it.

It depends on the type C port. Some Mini PCs have a dedicated power-only type C port that has variable voltage capabilities. I don't know if your laptop type C port can push 12V 34 W needed for the monitor. The larger this monitor gets the more difficult it will be to power them via USB C only.

Definitely brighter but I thought that the other monitor was a little sharper. The ability to quickly and easily switch to portrait is nice.
The portrait mode is one you have to turn on for yourself in Windows settings. It does not happen automatically when you flip it.

Maybe it's the camera not exposing quite right, but it looked like the "other" monitor had better contrast and colors.
