Also, detox your body and stop eating foods packed with hormones like meat. Avoid process food. Go natural. Try not to stress. Stress releases bad hormones in the body and make you have high estrogen level which is not good. Talking from experience. Don't forget to pray everyday. The best healing comes from God.
I have fibrocystic breasts and fibroadenoma and very dense breasts. Often they are sore and at times have stabbing pain. If anyone is in the same situation, these things can also help. Decreasing saturated fat, avoid or cut back on caffeine, chocolate, teas, less sodium, increase fiber, include more fruits and vegetables, warm compress on tender breast, good support bra and take primrose oil and vitamin e. These were all suggestions from my Dr. I hope this can help someone!❤️
Did your doctor say if decaffeinated coffee is safe? I know it’s the Methylxanthines in caffeinated coffee , tea , chocolate that can cause the breast cysts. I can’t find solid info if decaf still has some in there or not .
@@Alykat736 my breast specialist and Dr both said to cut back on caffeine but neither said if decaf can affect it. I do drink decaf and one cup at the most of regular coffee but I'm trying to cut that regular coffee back. Since decaf has less caffeine I don't think it is as troublesome.but I'm making a note to ask when I go in next.
@@melaniesanchez2442 yes please ask and let me know . I’ve been searching for this answer about decaf coffee for a year now and no one I’ve talked to knows and I can’t find research on it myself . I got blood work done where I asked them to check my iodine levels bc I had read that low iodine can cause fibrocystic Breast and turns out mine was low . When I started supplementing iodine I lost all signs of fibercystic breast ! But the last 2 months it’s come back and it maybe the decaf and or using some coco powder in my smoothies 🤷🏻♀️ drives me bonkers 😆🙈
@@Alykat736 hi,I just got out of one of my Dr appointments And my Dr said decaf should be fine for fibrocystic breasts and fiberedenoma. I'm going to wean off caffeine as much I can and do decaf and try to not eat as much chocolate.
Hi Dr Petersen, I absolutley must say a HUGE thankyou for putting out these video's!! I really appreciate how informative, clear and calm your content is. I came across your channel back in April 2023. I am 49 years old, peri-menopausal for the last 4 years. To help manage the symptoms of peri-menopause as naturally as possible (including hot flushes from hell, occasional but severe migraines and poor sleep) and to help support my body with this life change I switched to a very clean, healthy diet with no dairy, no red meat, low and healthy only carbs, less than 10% sugar and I am active. However, I had been suffering from very painful, swollen and hard, lumpy fibrocystic breasts. Initially this started with the pre-menstrual cycle then eased after the period, but it progeressed to being almost all the time say...6 out of 7 days. Even with very small breasts some days it was painful to even wear a t-shirt or lie flat on my back. I found this video and immediately started taking Vitamin E capsules every morning and I bought a bottle of liquid Iodine from the local chemist, no script required which was fantastic. I have been taking just 3 x drops in half a glass of water each morning after breakfast and after approximately 8 weeks I can say I had NO pain at all, and the breasts are softer. (I was already taking Vit D and a multi-vitamin). I cannot believe how quickly and effectively this simple and chaep combination of Vit E and Iodine has been. I haven't even finished the bottle yet and it only cost me $18 (Australian dollars!) For the Americans...that's only about 3x cups of Starbucks coffees, haha! A million thankyou's !!! I have recommended your channel and website to two other women at work who were also suffering in silence. I've also found your info on bio-identical progesterone very interesting and I will look into it as I'm still battling the hot flushes, and poor sleep some nights but this is a great start. Thankyou so much from Australia. 😊🤗💝🙏🌻🌷
You said it increases risk of cancer, moffit & Mayo Clinic have stated that it doesn’t lessen or increase breast cancer. In 2017 which is pretty present, it’s so many things that are truly unknow get a good doctor an learn your body an pay attention to everything.
I have this and my doctor told me that it does not increase the risk of breast cancer. I think telling people that will make them freak out.I was diagnosed when I was 17. Like you said it is very common
After you get a lump they want you to come back for follow ups like me. I have benign lump, but they want me to come back bc it can turn into the c word. I don’t even wanna say it.
Thank-you for posting this video! I went to see my Dr the other day (male and USELESS!!!) who has referred me to a breast clinic - have been panicking over a small couple of lumps behind my areola. This has been super informative and while I will still go to my appointment I feel a little calmer that this sounds a lot like my condition! I am a big caffeine head and stress levels have been high, plus my mother had cysts during her younger years - all of these factors seem to be pointing to this being the case!! Will feel a little calmer now, thank-you xx
Great tips! I agree with most of this, but having fibrocycstic breasts does not increase your risk of cancer. It just makes it a bit more difficult to detect. That is why if you try and change your diet and exercise, lose weight if you have to. The symptoms will decrease.
There are mixed reports whether it increases your risk or not. I agree that changing your diet and losing weight plus exercise is a great idea. But those things might not be enough to balance insufficient progesterone.
I was told I couldn't have a bilateral breast ultrasound without a mammogram. That they had to be booked at the same time no mammogram no ultrasound. I live in Ontario, Canada.
Castor oil has been used for many years. I have no experience with it for breast lumps, but we use it over the liver to help with motility and there is support for it to increase lymphatic drainage which could assist the breasts.
Goodness sakes, I was told my caffeine intake caused this condition.. And for the chronic symptoms to stop or go down a lot, I must stop my intake of caffeine all together.. If I wasn't to do that, I needed to take low dose of birth control. I tried taking birth control for a few days, and couldn't continue because I had such terrible symptoms with it- much worse than the pain with fibercystic breast disease if that says anything.. Now you're telling me if I just exercise more I will reverse my fibercystic breast disease? Am I hearing this correctly?
in this video and other by dr eric berg i heard that vitamin D and iodine (sea kelp) could be helpful to reduce high strogens and equilibrate hormons. you try it? how was for you?
Thank you! Incredible. Life changing video on reversing fibrocystic breasts. My mother did regular mammograms in her 40s at Cedars Sinai. She ended up discovering breast cancer on self exam at 52 & died after years of horrendous treament. It was a difficult life and changed the life course of each of us. Please keep talking about research and proactive cures for women's health issues.
Did your mom stop getting mammograms in her 50's? I'm sorry I'm just confused. If she was getting regular mammograms how did they not catch the cancer?
Hi Doctor thank you for your informative video. I had an ultrasound a few weeks ago. Results came back saying “complex cystic density 7mm” in an area 4cm from my left nipple at 3:00. In the past, I have been told that I have fibrocystic changes and also have had ultrasounds that have indicated simple cysts. I am going to follow up with a breast specialist, but I am wondering what you’d recommend the next step to be? I personally would prefer to avoid mammogram, would it be advisable to request an MRI instead? Another ultrasound? I’m feeling overwhelmed and anxious.
I'm 15 and have lumps in both my breast, they have been proved to be benign but they keep changing overtime. They become painful sometimes then the pain goes away. I'm not sure what I have..
It’s not a cure but Heat packs and magnesium baths give me alot of relief, I have cysts and they really hurt, no matter what type of bra I wear seems to cause pain as well
Relief is always a good thing, but I'm committed to correction, of course. If you need assistance consider reaching out for a consultation - call 408-733-0400.
I am 51yrs. I felt lumps in my breast ,I went for checkup. There are cyst. I had mammogram and ultrasound done.Dr says it's not cancerous. I was offered a quick needle something to draw them out,but I am too scared of needles. I am a praying person, but I came upon your video. I still hasn't comprehen what you said I should buy and take to get rid of the cyst. Please break it down as easy as talking to a 3yrs old. I am that thick. Thank you
Thank you for this info. I’ve been looking for answers and yours actually described what I have recently experience. I thought it was just dry skin, but the pain and itch had become quite extreme. I need to make changes to my health now!!
I’m 36 now, but last yr at age 35 I had been experiencing major breast and shoulder black pain. They did a mammogram and was benign and seemed to be a cyst. This is so painful if it be what they diagnosed. I see where you don’t recommend mammogram prior to 50. I’m wondering why they didn’t request an ultrasound. 🤔
It's important to only use bio-identical progesterone in a troche form - it's a buccal administration (between the upper cheek and gum in your mouth). Cremes, oral or sublingual are not recommended. Hi Dr. Vikki, thank you for sharing, you’re the expert, I need your best opinion, have sore breast but no lump or deformities, had mammogram & ultrasound & the most painful biopsy done. Right breast, found calcium deposits, 3 mm x 5 mm, malignant. Next step is MRI. What’s the best way to treat it without going thru surgery?
Hello Jo, I need to clarify something. You wrote: " found calcium deposits, 3 mm x 5 mm, malignant". Did you mean to write "malignant"? Calcium deposits aren't typically malignant. Please let me know if that was the diagnosis.
Dr. Vikki Petersen, thank you for the reply. Reading from the 03/06/20 report. Lymph-Vascular invasion: not identified. Micro-calcifications: present in DCIS. Prognosis studies: ER pending. Monday is MRI appointment.
I am very glad to have found your sensible video on the dangers of mammograms. Although I have been aware of these matters and an organisation of Drs wanting this info getting out to the public, for maybe a decade, your video is what I can now confidently show my friends. Thank you
I was diagnosed with the same 4 year back when I was just 19. I have to have gone through surgery because I was having severe pain even hard to walk without holding my breast. I was diagnosed with 5 cyst, being 3 in left breast and rest in right. Surgeon was able to get 3 out of 5, and 3 still are in there as they were tiny and lately I have noticed that I am having severe pain in my breast. Really don't know what to do. I am so very scared to go through same surgery over again. I need your help

From my experience I think iron med don't go along with fybrocystic breast what do you recommend in this situation, I have to literally leave iron pills for a while to minimize the heaviness of breast
I notice my right breast becoming big and i did scan The report indicates a hypoechoic mass measuring 14mm x 15mm near the areola in the right breast. The mass is described as irregular, suggesting the possibility of an irregular breast mass. Other surrounding soft tissues appear normal. What do i do please

Thanks you are pretty forthcoming. You are one of the few that wants to help heal. If I might add in reference to using the iodine : Get some guaze,, soak with odine and paint on breast about 2-3 times daily for about 3 months. Most lumps are lack of iodine in body as well as a slow metabolism and thinning of hair. Also good for bacteria, viruses, fungus epecially those on skin surface. Like she said you can also take internally. Allll other diseases are parasites eating at the mucosa, = turpentine. The main reason for excercise is to keep the lymphatic ducts open. Which is another filter like your kidneys , liver , spleen and skin. Now I do agree about mammograms not. being therapeutic unless you like radiation. " Arnica" oil works great for pain. You can get it at a natural food store. Believe it or not Wal-Mart carries something called " Pentex" . It is located on the pain relieve aisle near muscle rubs. It contains Arnica. It comes in a can , with another container inside . It startes on the can that it is 100% effective or money back. ( keep your receipt ) I never had to get refund. Worked or me. I am not a doctor or robot.
@@wilted_rose510 Thinning of hair generally equates to an iodine deficiency. Keep in mind that is if you are not on medications, radiation, chemo ( which are most side effect) or hairdyes, stressing the scalp with braids , ponytails or pinups. ( for long term uses). 😃

Hello Dr. Vikki. I am 54 years, peri-menopausal for 1 year. 3 months ago, the mammogram/ultrasound showed I have fibrocystic breast. I started switching from the Mediterranean to plant based diet. Is it true that food rich in phytoestrogen such as flaxseeds and chia seeds may cause estrogen dominance that might be associated with breast cysts. Please advise. Thank you.

Dr. Vikki Petersen Dr.Peterson, why aren't ultrasounds used regularly instead of mammograms? Since there is a higher risk of cancer? They are mainly used a followup to a mammogram if something is of concern. Also, can PCOS increase chances of breast cancer? Thanks
You should switch to a whole foods vegan diet. Like Dr. Vikki said, inflammation is the underlying cause of most diseases and inflammation is mainly caused by animal protein. If you have fibrocystic breast disease like me, you are at a much higher risk for breast cancer. Animal protein contains IGF-1, which causes cancer cells to rapidly multiply. Vegan blood has actually been scientifically proven to be 7 times less hospitable to cancer cells than meat-eaters' blood. Go VEGAN to save your breasts!

Stress releases bad hormones in the body and make you have high estrogen level which is not good. Talking from experience. Don't forget to pray everyday. The best healing comes from God.
Sound advice Mel.

Monica Villada Exactly the increased risk is the difficulty differentiating dense breast tissue that might mask tumors

Exactly what I’ve been told that it only makes it a little more difficult to diagnose breast cancer it doesn’t increase your chances.

How much vitamin E and how much iodine? What is a good blood level of iodine?

Most lumps are lack of iodine in body as well as a slow metabolism and thinning of hair.
Also good for bacteria, viruses, fungus epecially those on skin surface.

Allll other diseases are parasites eating at the mucosa, = turpentine.
The main reason for excercise is to keep the lymphatic ducts open. Which is another filter like your kidneys , liver , spleen and skin.

Love scammer wanting you to answer him 😂😂😂 in breast video comments. Lord they’re getting desperate!!!
You should :
see another doctor and tell them to drain them of fluid. Low sugar, low sodium, increase iodine, DIM supplement, turmeric tea, no dairy, evening primrose supplement, borage oil supplement, dry body brushing every 3 days before showering, & massage breasts to drain the painful cysts with a diluted magnesium oil blend. 🙏🏾I hope this helps.

Can one with fibrocyst get pregnant?
I have a tumour in my breast for now 10yrs, doesn't reduce n doesn't increase in size, just a little painful premenstrual, can this help me to remove it
Yes. It's about your own body "cleaning" your breast tissue and turning over new, healthy cells. That process would help to naturally get rid of the tumor. I'm not sure where you live, but try to find a functional medicine doctor who is experienced in this area. If you can't find anyone feel free to reach out - call me at 408-733-0400. I'm happy to help.
So you can’t do anything for extremely dense tissue?
I wouldn't say that. It's not normal to have dense tissue and over time it can be healed. If a natural approach is of interest, consider contacting us for a free phone consultation - you can call us at 408-733-0400.
This is very helpful information thank you very much.
Can I pay for an ultrasound with no mammogram? Can they refuse if I pay out of pocket? I don’t want any more mamograms
You can insist on an ultrasound only. They will try to refuse you, persist. It's your body!
What is your take on Maca root? I mean in regards to fibrocystic breasts and hormone balance.
I guess she doesn’t have a take 😐🤷♀️
what treatment?
keri caye she mentioned low progesterone, exercise and not being overweight. I guess that is what she means. Don’t know.
so vitamin D and iodine (sea kelp) could be helpful to reduce high strogens and equilibrate hormons
They could, yes, Cami. But what's best is to determine what exactly your imbalances are so that you can get your problem resolved. If you'd like our assistance we'd be happy to offer you a free phone consultation. Call 408-733-0400. We offer telemedicine visits across the U.S.

How r u now
My pain is everyday I don't get any breaks only when ovulating. I have issues bending down ...picking up things. Ever now and then a cyst appears on the top of my breasts burst and burns. It leaves behind a scar...I have a combination with heterogenous dense tissue. I am on bed rest on a daily basis. I am 34 I've been dealing with this for two years now. I also have lumps under both arms. My mammograms look worse than the ones I see online. I've been to 3 specialists and they say it's not cancer. I'm so frustrated and sad this has affected my life.
Look into granulomatous mastitis and see if it sounds like what you are experiencing. It’s quite rare so many specialists don’t know to check for it.
Thank you so much I'm at home suffering now this is the only video that describes everything going on with me your a blessing.
Also, I wonder if evening primrose oil will help with this
It can help for some.

I have a breast lumps in my left side breast for 10year now since 2009 to 2019, and I don't know if am ok or not. am 27year old
What does your gynecologist say? Have you had a breast ultrasound? That's a nice, non-invasive way to get some information. You're young, cancer is highly unlikely but lumps are still not normal. If you'd like some assistance consider calling me for a phone consultation - 408-733-0400. There is a reason for the lump.
Me too I have had it for 10yrs, doesn't increase n doesn't reduce
@@shabiirahbabirye32 Hi. I just responded to your earlier comment. Let me know if that helps.

Dr. Vikki Petersen Dr.Peterson, why aren't ultrasounds used regularly instead of mammograms? Since there is a higher risk of cancer? They are mainly used a followup to a mammogram if something is of concern. Also, can PCOS increase chances of breast cancer? Thanks
Maisoon Al You can call me and we can discuss. 408-733-0400. There must be a reason underlying the fibrocystic breasts.
@@DrVikkiPetersen can I also contact you
This is very informative. If one is deficient in progesterone does that mean the estrogen is dominant?
The problem I'm finding is most centers won't give you just a breast ultrasound. That's all my doctor ordered but they require a mammogram first 🤔 I'm only early 30s, if that's raising my chances why are they forcing me to get those?
The "industry" gets more money from mammograms. You need to be "tough" with them and insist on the ultrasound only. You can do it!
I have the nexplanon birth control implant. Can that cause fibrous breasts? I was fine before I got it.

I had same problems
Hi I've just turned 43, both my breasts have been really tender for the past couple of days and yesterday I found a lump in my right breast, In the past I've had an ultrasound and was told the lump was a fibroid but this lump is on my right breast the other was on the left. A few years ago I found a lump but it disappeared after my period. I'm just wondering if this is the same thing and could I be suffering from fibrocystic breasts, It's very worrying.

I used to feel pain at the same point now and then. Especially when press it. After menopause at 52 years I had pain in the same left breast in the same site… I had mammogram…. It was normal study. Now I am experiencing same kind of pain in the left breast, in the upper quadrant, but no palpable mass…. Please advise me what to do?

Hello, I'm really worried I keep getting lumps in my left breast, I've been for a scan witch he said was normal I'm 28 year old, I keep getting them before my period there painful. its in a different place to the last time I had one. I'm really worried because my mum passed away from breast cancer at just 56 years old to an aggressive cancer. It's always played on my mind as my mum said that she's always had lumps from an early age. I will go back to see a doctor not sure what to do.

No, I don't think it's dangerous. Breast massage, to tolerance, is a good idea, and if bras make you uncomfortable, try different types. But "dangerous", I don't believe so.
