Well, "gossip" is pretty funny in english... To me other funny or surprising words in english include Nonplussed Ajar Jeopardize And a synonym for "exclaim" that I will not mention here because it has another meaning which would be inappropriate here... In other languages "Katzenjammer" (hangover in German) "Quatre-veingt" (eighty in French) "Tivoli" for amusement park in almost all European languages... "Tallerke" (dish in Norwegian) Also in Norway I was shocked when I heard someone order a coke for the first time because they called the waiter and went "ein cola" but it sounded very much like "up in the ass" in Italian...😁
The word for breathtaking actually makes sense because whatever the object is, it’s cutting (taking) your breath away for that moment. Beautiful word. Thanks for this video. I’m learning Italian so this was helpful.
Also, I do have a visa video here that may help you: ruclips.net/video/DTJuj16l5Nw/видео.html and also a video on average salaries in Italy: ruclips.net/video/jgvEgHtUBJQ/видео.html Enjoy!!
Have you ever heard a funny word in a language you were learning? What was it?
I liked this video. Wouldn't mind a part 2 or something similar. Ciao Kenya!
Loving your videos. Making an impromptu trip to Rome for a week so they’re much needed. Do you ever offer any tours, meet n greets?
Hey!! Well, I’ve been traveling a lot lately, so haven’t been in the city much. Maybe one day. 😉
You should visit Napoli!! On the lungomare, Castel dell'ovo
