Giorgio is still considered the best kickboxer of all time with a record unmatched by any other athlete. His career must be considered in its entirety...
The head-bounce on the floor was brutal too. It basically was the worst-case scenario: fully hitting the floor, with his whole body weight whipping his head down hard into the floor
a king has his reign and then he dies. Petrosyan will never be the same after this knockout both mentally and physically. He had a freaking long reign though and still a GOAT of his time.

His fully name are called Superbon Banchamek btw, "Banchamek" part is buakaw real surname and his gym name so yes he trained a lot with buakaw, and in case you're curious no they're not from the same family superbon real name is "Muensang Suppachai"
That knock out and landing on the canvas, back of the head first, was really scary... i still think he could die in the following days just like boxers do. I hope he makes a full recovery. Brilliant video as usual.
Superbon was throwing the right head kick in volume. Surely a mistake by Petrosyan disengaging with his hands low. All first round he was firing that kick off... he was either gonna land it, or go out on his shield trying to land it... must have seen something in video study that made him want to keep firing that kick off. Combination of good timing, ability to execute, speed, endurance, persistence and a mistake by Petrosyan. Played out well for superbon. Thats the fight game... well done.
Time doesn`t spare anyone ....I wish fighter would understand when is time to quite instead of keep getting hit . Those KO have devastating effect , especially if later in your career .I hope Giorgio recover well , he could have died from such a strong hit .A cm deeper and that kick would have been letal .
He did not low his guard but try to block his ribs, due to before this Supperbon kick him on the rib twice in the row, so maybe he did not expect that kick target will change to his jaws.
