My Porsche obsession started when I was 16, working at a gas station; it became one of my life goals. 34 years later, after my family was settled, I found the courage to actually buy my Porsche, a 997.2 RS. I consider myself its temporary caretaker. After four summers with it, I am still blown away by it. Recently, I visited a Porsche dealership with my nephew, to do some dream building; we took the RS. While there, one of the sales guys asked about my interest in selling/trading it. I told him that I love and appreciate all Porsche, but asked him where would I go from the RS. He look at me, paused and shook his head in a gesture of an unspoken agreement.

I'm glad I found your channel, I can never get enough Porsche content. I have a 2009 Cayman S (race car) and a 2019 GT3RS. My wife and I have a track membership, The Podium Club in Arizona. We track the crap out of both cars, the Cayman is track only and we have been running the race group with our local club, ProAutoSports. It's an addiction, and yes I know I'm lucky.

My favorite part of my 997 is how much more analog it is compared to the newer ones

997.1 RS is raw, simple, and pure driver on the road … epic steering and chassis feel just the right power … free engine rev feel is a masterpiece

I’m 38 years old and been a “Porsche guy” ever since I was 3 (thanks dad). I never had one for myself but 4 years ago I inherited his 77’ euro spec that he imported himself from Germany in the early eighties.

I've owned several Porsches and I'm currently enjoying a 718 Spyder so I'm far from being a hater but guys... Reliability and engineering perfection? M96 and M97 engines anyone? Should we mention the 3.8 disaster in the 991.1 GT3? They have their fair share of disasters and we should point then out as well. Cheers from Italy!

Just subscribed. Great channel! I have owned a 2017 991.2 C2s since May 2016. Love the car. I came to it from a sport bike/track day background and the 911 ticked all the boxes. Still does. Doubt I will ever track it, but it is so much fun on back roads or anywhere really. A long term keeper for sure!

I was very close to buying a 360 Ferrari so one day after Easter we was bored want to get some Dunkin’ Donuts me my dad and I own several air cooled porches in the past so I was hesitant to buy a water cold 2013 991S because it was automatic it didn’t feel like it was a Porsche so just because he was bored as shit and we take a test drive the lady to the keys on me from the Porsche dealer and said don’t knock it till you try it and let me tell you something after I took a spin in the car I said where do I sign it’s like a plain cheesecake everything else is just an On it’s like a classic black tuxedo it never goes out of style call it’s timeless it’s sexy silhouette is like a woman with an hourglass shape there is no substitute just opening the garage and looking at it the back and slope And bring smiles to my face yes it’s worth every dollar

Something you don’t mention is the timelessness of Porsche especially the 911’s. A 911 from the 1960’s and a modern one are both easily identified as 911’s even by non Porsche fans. A modern 911 will still look like the 911 of 10 years in the future Compare that to something like a corvette- which changes shape more often than some people Chan their socks. 10 years from now when viewing the current corvette you’ll be asking WTF were they thinking!?!?
But you’ll always appreciate the timeless lines of the 911 you bought in 2023.

For the longest time, I was always baffled by why everyone loves Porsche. To the car community, they could do no wrong. Porsches were always more expensive than other cars in the segment they compete in. And with the 2024 MSRP increase, they're practically overpriced! Even still, I dug and researched why everyone loves Porsche. It took a while to figure out. Porsche just... does things differently. And better it seems. For one, their ordering process is mostly simple, if you're not after GT cars. Their process from ordering to assembly to delivery is German engineered. When they say your car is going to be built in October and delivered in December, that's what is going to happen. Meaning that behind the scenes, Porsche pays top dollar for couriers that are reliable and can maintain their timelines. Porsches also deliver cars to dealers in enclosed containers. YOU, as the consumer pay for that behind the scenes stuff. And you can track your build every step of the way. The attention to detail with how they build and deliver your order is nothing short of outstanding. But YOU pay for that. I haven't and won't even touch on the engineering and design behind their cars, because that is a pretty deep rabbit hole to dive in to. Needless to say, I ordered a 718 Cayman S. I want to see and feel what owning a Porsche is all about.

The only true flaw in Porsche is their exhaust notes
Even their performance exhausts sounds like trash, relative to other high-end cars
This issue is understandable, as you don't have a way to make a rear-mounted V6 sound good
If it were possible, Porsche would've done it by now

Agree with @speedepic, the GT3's sound awesome. I have a classic hotrod with ITB's and Bursch exhaust and it sounds very angry.
