I absolutely love 2k19. I have hundreds of hours into it. Being a big fan of tables and weapons, having the tables instantly dissapear in 2k19 was such an immersion breaker. Killed me inside
Hell in a Cell matches are better now for broken weapons remaining.
Yeah but now they break the immersion in far worse ways. No chain wrestling, no selling, wrestlers just popping up after every move, having to lock up to do grapples/irish whips the entire match.

@@MiniMugenMan I got 2K22 and been playing it since December, I've been playing these 2K games on PS4 since 2K18, and dude...the controls suck because it's overly complicated and HEAVILY relies on Breakers more than ACTUAL reversals. Matches ESPECIALLY online just turn into competitive Rock, Paper, Scissors, and STUNNING literally ruins ANY real competitive play when your able to hit 3 finishers in a row because stunning at default (which it stays as for online) last 15 FUCKING SECONDS LONG. That is WAY too generous for the button mashing sweats that have always made Online not fun for that reason, AND 2K22 the default Pin System was your ONLY OPTION FOR ONLINE, meaning your opponent just had to store 3 finishers, stun you, hit their RKO 3 times in a row, you kickout with resiliency, they put on a Submission and or literary just pin you again and you won't be able to escape the Submission nor kickout no matter HOW FAST you tap your X button.
@@kennythetrend3688 Continue playing it my friend, with the outdated move animations and all. It literally takes a day or two to learn the 22/23' controls, and if any of you gave a fuck to look at the game for more than minutes, you'd realize that.

I still play 2k19 I haven’t bought another WWE 2k since. Don’t get me wrong 23 looks amazing but I just like the simulation style more,I feel like 2k19 is for more of the technical wrestling enjoyers. 23 is more arcade style,which is fine I’m not complaining tho Ima just stick to the game I feel had the wrestling part down.
I feel the same as you. WWE 2K19 is the most realistic WWE game they've been able to put out. and the gameplay is good and comfortable on top of Chain Wrestling, the Irish wips in the race, and many more things

@@ekaitzrenner & the thing is stamina,chain wrestling,etc. has been a thing in the past that could be turned off so I don’t get why take it out the game completely. I gave them a pass on 22 because it was being built from the ground up so I knew a lot of things would be missing but now it still just feels like so much is missing & not being added back. They took a step back on the wresting part & im not sure when they’ll come back around.
The only thing 2k23 good at is the smart AI. And 2k20 have smarter ai than 19
@@ummehabibaa5880 that’s what I’ve been hearing & I almost got it because of that until I started seeing what else the game doesn’t have anymore. I do mess with sliders & other options to help so the ai isn’t so easy.
WWE 2K19 continues to stand the test of time. It was and still is one of the GREATEST games in the series(besides WWE '13 & WWE 2K14). It holds up wonderfully against WWE 2K22 & WWE 2K23, and that's saying something.
I miss the omg moments but chair wrestling made the game way better cuz they still do it in real life
I kinda like having both. I love how different all the games feel. Still go back to 14 and 16 from time to time too. Man it’s so easy to get lost in 14 😂
I agree w this. The games captures the time persons well enough to not be upset about what’s not in future games, but to enjoy what the past games were for the time being.
Unfortunately, yukes leaving caused them to completely overhaul the game because they couldn't replicate 2k19. If yukes left, the games after 19 would've been some of the best games ever
i know this comment is from 10 months ago but no honestly i was thinking this whilst playing and thinking about the release of 2K24 today , Everything was so good and perfect dude and ofc they had to not like the ideas yukes had and couldn’t come up to great agreements . Like yea the “new” things they brought back is cool but if you think we probably would’ve been had that if yukes stayed plus more if not something somewhat better . Literally everything was good with 19 all they had to do with the new game is make a 19 with new better improvements and new match types and details , People tend to hate on the graphics but i kinda like the style especially mixed with the new graphics from visual concepts we have today it’ll be the perfect match up . ERASE ALL THE ARCADEY STUFF . im tired of my wrestler being able to block a running drop kick from a 240 pound male with two arms held up to his face .
I never had 2k19 (2k18 though) and I loved the controls. It is a learning curve to get the updated controls down pat though. Wargames is a helluva perk on 23 and so is tweaking the difficulty settings from reversals to even pinfalls
2K19 was 2K18 but IMPROVED IN EVERY WAY.

@@GameTesterDev Idk what it was, maybe lightning wise, but 2K19 was more smooth, faster pace, improved the carry system, new HIAC was cool just unfortunately no weapons that year, create a briefcase, and the showcase mode for Daniel Bryan was awesome. And from what I've heard, bit better of a Career mode.

You forgot the biggest thing 2K19 has over 2K23, it has MUCH better Grappling. In 2K19 you just lunge for the moves, in 2K23 you need to enter a grab state which is extremely unrealistic and breaks the flow because you need to constantly Collar and Elbow to set up stuff like a Spinebuster or DDT (which makes no sense, nobody would do that).

I find it's not even that there's people who like it, it's just there's some people who don't care. So if they changed the grapples and Irish Whips back, those people still wouldn't really care (or maybe they would then understand why we ask for them to fix it) but for those of us who hate the Grab mechanics, we would be SO happy. It seems like they just decided that graphics and effects were more important than gameplay in the later years.
2k19 is the best of the modern day wrestling games. The controls and gameplay are top tier compared to anything that came out after it. The only thing the newer games has over it is graphics which doesn’t mean much since they update every year.

The last WWE game I played before 2K22 was 2K15 on the Xbox 360 so seeing that 2K19 had a lot of the same gameplay features as the older games makes me regret saving for 2K22 instead of buying 2K19 before the servers shut down

Went back to 2K19 after completing MyRise and Unlocking everything in 2K23. Something about the roster in 19 makes me wants to go back.
I swear if 2k23 had the controls of 2k19 paired with the graphics and roster of 23, game would be flawless.
The A.I in 2k19 is also really good for the most parts and with some customization in game balancing you can have really awesome matches with features it has

2k19 had a much smoother gameplay.. this can easily be noticed in 6-men or 8-men tag matches

It's also worth mentioning that Visual Concepts (the current Devs) re-write all the code from Yukes (The previous Devs) so while these games may seem similar or the surface, these games under the hood are completely different.
2k23 with 2k19’s gameplay would be Amazing! 😭😭
2K19 is GOATed. The roster was unbelievable and the gameplay was great. All they had to do was make the Universe Mode online like Madden Franchise. Then friends could join your Universe online and play with your downloads etc and draft against you and what not. Instead we get MyFaction cards and features removed.
The roster was insane. Unbeatable really.

I love the ring in 2k19, the newer games feel like the ring is 10 sizes too small. I know it's probably more accurate, but it makes a lot of the animations look so awkward
chain wrestling, working holds, 5 counts/ ignoring ropebreak and crawling towards ropes/pulling opponent back to the center of the ring during submissions, squash matches, weapon grapples, quick grapples, fighting stances off by default. All needs to come back.
I used to love that running Irish whip. I miss the attacks u can perform when an opponents head is underneath the ring ropes going towards the outside of the ring.
19 was a master peace because it evolved from 2k18 2k17 and 2k16 and it was yukes engine they kept evolving. Now it’s visual concepts time to evolve there game engine maybe wwe 2k25 or 2k26 will be a super elite wrestling game.
Love the controls of 23, but if they could add a way to initiate chain wrestling, could really add to the sim aspect whilst keeping the arcade feel of the rest of the controls.
Also, tired finishers is an incredible touch they should bring back. I hope (and think) they can and will keep upgrading backstage brawls to allow even more integration to the surrounding area like 19, as well as weapon moves.

Don't forget, 2K19 doesn't have the pathetic fight stance that all fighters in 2K23 have. 2K19 plays more like a wrestling game but 2K23 plays more like a combat game. This shows that those that made this game don't know anything about wrestling

The only thing stopping me from buying the new one is the new controls. I hate them with a passion. It’s uncomfortable as hell, I don’t know who’s idea it was to change them.
I think that's the business strategy, they add new features in the game but remove existing ones, so that they can add them in future and sell it as a new game. They keep doing it, if they make a perfect game which contains everything, then they won't have anything left to make and sell in the market.

To put this simply, 2k19 has better/more features while 2k23 (For the most part) has better graphics. The controls are completely different in both games, but not much changes in that aspect
Why do they always take things out and remove things every year, I guess they sell more games with the promise of "new features" but they always replace things and never add or build on stuff they did in the past year that already works, 2k23 looks awesome but I went back to 2k19 and it's more fun and I know more people tbh, sucks CM Punks not in the game, Daniel Bryan, Chris Jericho, Samoa Joe and other icons aren't in the game anymore imo, I got the deluxe version and only play 7 people ngl..

Thank God I’m not the only that still plays 2k19 I’ve been playing wwe games since here comes the pain and I haven’t purchased a wwe game since 2k19 the game it still fun and feels more like a wrestling game than an arcade game
Honestly biggest thing that got me to get 2k23 (after sticking with 2k19 for so long) is I got so sick of hell in a cell feeling pointless without weapons. It's so fun setting up a table and putting them through the top of the cell on it. In general tables are so much better. You can have alot more and none of their broken parts disappear until you actually get a new weapon out, and it's a lot easier to have them actually break in the corner when you manually throw them into it without first setting them up on it. Used to get so annoyed in 2k19 German suplexing them into it like 12 times before it would finally break.
Both games have amazing features the other doesn't have but personally after recently getting 2k23 it's a breath of fresh air.
The 2k19 stamina system and all animations and tension it created in matches crawling for a pin or one armed pin the way the characters shoulders hung are far superior to 2K23.
I think 2k19 is the better game… except that now you can’t play for titles in exhibition.. no one even comes out wearing title belts anymore.
2k19 had better CaW options. You have body part muscle types and the best of all? Better *Emboss Image* which 2k22 and 2k23 still can't get right. You can actually give your CaWs 3D tattoos and image imprints on their body and clothing.
2k19 also had more detailed and better Custom Entrance creation. 2k19 also has wrestlers actually stay down longer when they're low on health and injured even in Arcade mode, 2k23 has AI abusing the "Instant Recovery" making it seem that they're no-selling your moves.
Wwe 2k19 was the last one i bouught before wwe2k23. Its better in every way, except for the my rise.

tired finishers are what sold me on getting an Xbox one at the time just to play a more real experience. But then here we are onto the next generation of consoles and we’ve gone backwards in a lot of important areas I feel.
My biggest complaint about 2k22 is the controls they should have kept the controls from 2k19 or even 2k20 nothing was wrong with them there were things that needed to change but not the controls if they don't revert back to the old controls and get rid of the combos and block features then i probably won't buy it we don't need combos or blocks in a Wrestling game if you want that in a game go play some of the popular side scroll fighting games leave the wrestling games alone. The speed of the game is fine and unlimited reversals that's great and i would enjoy the game more if the controls get changed back and probabaly change the pin style back to the B button it's awkward having to use the Joystick to Pin someone. If they combined the Graphics and modes of 2k22 and the detailed features of 2k19 with there control scheme i think it would be the best wrestling 2k game I'm hoping 2k23 might be it.

Well i say 2k19 is still a bit better. 2k23 is on a good way but they always got something i am angry about, like Trio entrances missing. I bet they will never add it in the future like in 2k22 the Tag Team finishers. I can life with it that 2k19 looks not that good but having the most importend stuff for Universe. At the moment 2k23 is New and yea its more fun becaus of it. At the end if i am finished with story and stuff ich wanted to do. i guess i will go back to 2k19 again.

One of the problems with 2k19 is the bugged Hell in a Cell, where your opppnent usually just stays or goes inside the ring.
Recently I brought wwe 2k23 and I have wwe 2k19 I can say no 2k game is better than wwe 2k19
All they need to do is bring back chain wrestling, show intros and a story mode for universe and you got already a great upgrade in just that alone for 24
wrestling chain would have been perfect for wwe 2k23 to be in.
Another thing is 2k19 is actually more an attitude era game when you go through the roster. I wish I could move Road Dogg, JBL, Farooq and Xpac to 2k19
Still play 2k19. Better controls, can do more in general, better Roster, and the Hair is much better on most of the Wrestlers.

In my opinion wwe2k19 was better by far, 2k went the extra mile on that years game. Crowd fighting, deeper my career, better controls and a much better showcase. Wwe2k23 is still a good game.

They actually weren't in the game on release and got added later in the Update 1.10 ( May 16, 2023 ) so when the video released it wasn't a thing yet

I’ve been trying to make an all caw show in 2k22 (haven’t bought 2k23 cuz it really doesn’t look like they changed much) but the more i play and try to get realistic matches the more i miss 2k19, I think imma rebuy that shit cuz these new games don’t get me wrong can be fun if it’s your type of style of a wrestling game but i think we all know 2k19 to this day is still where it’s at

If you’re an in ring mark, 2k19 is the game for you. If you are an arcade type, 2k23 is for you.
As a player of both, I think 2023s more personal to the stars but 2019 has better connection and physics. Overall, if you’re looking for a better connection with less lag its 2019 but 2023 is a bit better overall.
2K will probably never do this but you know we'll be awesome if they did they should allow fans to import superstar that they had on WWE 2K22 ON To WWE2K23 therefore you don't have to wait until people start creating people and community creations you can already have some of your Superstars already on the game by importing them from 2K22 2k23
yes 2k19 is best, im glad im not only one who thinks so.. the new one is too arcade like with the vibration and sound on every move..the characters are too big. and the controls suck... ! 2k19 just needed minor tweeks to be perfect like royal rumble controls, and update rosters outfits and belts .. and war games aand other special matches .. and be able use more ringside weapons like the bell, and tvs etc... it also be better than a sledgehammmer and kindo sticks bats, to have smaller items hidden around that u could use.. like chalk , or squirt bottle.. and definetly has to have tacks .. ladder matches need better controls i still cant figure it out ...! maybe more space on game for created players thats my fav thing to do...

Another thing about 2k19 is the roster, it had an amazing roster, if only Tommaso Ciampa and Mick Foley were added in the game it would've been the best ever roster in WWE 2k.

Well I’m a huge wwe fan I also love sports but I haven’t played any of these and as an outsider I surely agree with just combining both games and making it a spectacle those little things in the 2k19 will be so vital in 2k23 especially with those graphics

Visually of course 2K23 looks better and they have made major updates. I do love how the computers are wrestling in the game. They mix things up sending you into the ropes before doing their finish on the rebound. That’s awesome. There are many things that are still wrong with 2K23. Trios entrances and advanced entrances have had some bugs for me. The gameplay I will still love 19’s more. It’s easier to work with. The reversals are easy. I hate have to play guessing games. People say you feel accomplished when you get it right. No I feel exhausted. Like finally I can play again. It’d be nice if they gave us the ability to change the controls like in old games. 2K still have much to work on but I am seeing improvements but 19 holds a special place for me. I don’t know if it’s because of 19 is the game that got my passion for RUclips started with my AEW Universe mode (sorry cheap plug) but again I do see improvements from 2K but again more work is needed.
